So, would recompense of the fallen be a reference to the soldiers who died in the divide? Or am I just looking too deep into a weapon that probably has a ominous name for no reason.
There used to be a few mods that either added marked women. Or added some sort of lore that explained why there wasn't any. There was even one that would have had the Divide turned back into Hopeville. Or at least the modders interpretation of Hopeville. Unfortunately, These models have long since been abandoned and/or deleted.
Just an idea, but have you ever thought on doing a video, on if the Legion invaded the commonwealth during Fallout 4?. You just make such good videos, and thought it would be interesting to see your take on it.

Go back and you’ll see that bit from the slideshow about how out of fear or respect they no longer attack the courier is BS! They respawn in greater numbers and attack on site.
Imagine a short film animation where the NCR re-enter the Divide, getting Ambushed by the Marked Men. Could have some awesome action scenes and very emotional weight behind former comrades killing each other.
Man, I just found your channel and I think I've found the de facto best channel on RUclips for listening to whether I'm doing things or just interested in kicking back while listening to some interesting lore. You can do about 5% of this dlc at Lv1.. just go there after you are done at goodsprings. You can have a set non faction riot gear, arc welder and the EDE upgrade for daily weapon repair just to name a few of the odds and ends you can get before enemies become an issue. Pro players can take it further with a bit of finesse, or there's console commands for the PC folk. Makes for a really good start to a few different builds.
Even at level 1 you could kill that single sentry bot as long as you have Science 25 (deactivate the first sentry bot), lets EDE take hit while you stay as far back as possible taking pot shot There are quite alot of loots before the last fight, the US General Outfit give good Speech Boost early game All the weapons you get there can be repair to max conditions by EDE, wait 24 hours, sell loots to Commissary which have high caps pool
In retrospect it's incredibly lazy how the constant sandstorm doesn't deal any damage to the player, even if it was a hardcore locked effect akin to the more severe cloud damage in Dead Money. In fact... everything to do with lonesome road is incredibly poorly implemented outside of the story, which itself is constantly contradicted by gameplay. Second best story after Dead Money, but it clearly has even less work put into it than Honest Hearts which itself is a joke of a DLC, instead being more like a short side questline.

@@Synonymous101 that’s a good idea, I always liked the idea of a hazmat suit filled with radioactive water so it’s like a “boy In the bubble” situation
@@umbra7163 this needs to be tested 😂
@@Synonymous101 also what if they splashed around in enough barrel waste that one eventually turned into a glowing variant then they use said glowing One variant like a portable healing area of effect
@@umbra7163 I think that's a possibility, as well as turning feral. A Glowing Marked Man would have made for an interesting boss fight or secondary antagonist!
More fallout lore? You have my attention
my favorite bit of lonesome road was when in the hopeville missile silo/bunker thing you first find the marked men and think "oh god what skinned these guys that's horrible" and then you find out no they look like that alive too.
Always loved this dlc.
This makes me think
Did they ever mention what the legion thought of ghouls?
Inhuman slaves
@@xptaco2298 well, what else would anything be to the legion lol.
@@xptaco2298 they allowed raul to live in their lands with no problem
BREAKING: Red men sighted who are just to angry to die.
Believe it or not, I played The Lonesome Road yesterday and was literally wondering: "Did anyone make a video about marked men lore?"
I always figured the marked men didn't really have a gender since ghouls can't procreate and they were just called marked men because men is usually plural for soldiers
Damn, im almost done with this dlc, so its cool to see a video posted literally within the day
The divide is fallouts Mordor
They attack every outsiders , very thin-skinned of them
I know its a Lore Video on the Marked Men but what I took away from it was the fact that the Storms are caused by a malfunctioning weather machine. The wall map in Old World Blues makes so much more sense now.
it's ironic to be united in a place called the divide :3
This fits really well considering I just finished lonesome road
@Knight-Sgt. Reyes I liked most of the Sierra Madre but the vault of the end was just a constant run into a room, look for the speaker, explode and reload
Edit: Worth it though as I got away with 37 goldbars
I love you. Greetings from a tiny island in the north atlantic
Honestly I'd like too see a video on what you think the perfect fallout story would be for all fallout fans
I have a theory as to why Marked Women don't appear, I think it's due to like the Sandstorm, if it's enough to tear skin and fat away from ghoulified men, then I imagine it would've done the same to Women, making them near indistinguishable from the Men
So, would recompense of the fallen be a reference to the soldiers who died in the divide? Or am I just looking too deep into a weapon that probably has a ominous name for no reason.
It could be, if the weapon was found at the divide I would say certainly!
I like what the marked men represent, that the apocalypse can easily get apocalypsier before it gets better.
Two opposing forces united in the The Devide...
I think I'd find some damned goggles before letting my eyelids get sanded away.
Great video. Thanks for the hard work.
For me the worst part of lonesome road is that there's too much cool stuff to pick up
I always take the perks to increase carrying capacity and drop off all the loot I'm carrying to make room for what I'm bringing out of the Divide.
Just an idea, but have you ever thought on doing a video, on if the Legion invaded the commonwealth during Fallout 4?.
You just make such good videos, and thought it would be interesting to see your take on it.
And the Legions new leader is the hero from Lost Vegas, for a plot twist.
This is great. I actually just played Lonesome Road for the first time recently.
I found them tragic and terrifying
Keep these vids coming , love every one of them!❤❤❤👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼✌
I'm watching you
Yayy finnaly a lore video for the marked men
"Gentleman! There is a solution here that you are not seeing."
*Marked Man shoots himself in the head*
Other Marked Men: "..... I GET HIS SHOES."
Honestly this is the first time I listen to you. And I like your storytelling. So thank you. And game on.
I’ve played Lonesome road so much that I know it like the back of my hand so it’s amazing to learn stuff I never knew, or having the info presented in a way I hadn’t thought before. Great channel dude, keep up the good work
Go back and you’ll see that bit from the slideshow about how out of fear or respect they no longer attack the courier is BS! They respawn in greater numbers and attack on site.
Im droping likes on you're videos these are definitely a good way to pass 10 minutes and learn more about a game i love
I love your channel, keep doing what you're doing
They've replaced sadness with hatred.
Maybe I'm a Marked Man?
I always assumed Marked Women were like Female Super Mutants, they do exist but due to the Mutations you can no longer tell.
Imagine a short film animation where the NCR re-enter the Divide, getting Ambushed by the Marked Men.
Could have some awesome action scenes and very emotional weight behind former comrades killing each other.
Constant pain fueling hatred? Mutated skin? Relies on armor to survive?
So they are generic brand Darth Vaders
I love videos like these. Most of the time I'm busy having fun with the game play mechanics that I forget to pay attention to the lore and story
I have been waiting for this one! Awesome!!
Wonder if they CAN become Feral... 🤔
Another great video my guy! You're one of the best Fallout lore video creators on YT!
Hate 'll keep a man alive, Spartacus...
Man, I just found your channel and I think I've found the de facto best channel on RUclips for listening to whether I'm doing things or just interested in kicking back while listening to some interesting lore.
Gathering it all like this and structuring it so coherently, it's astounding work!
Guess you could say that overtime, your channel'll be Synonymous with Fallout Lore.
Eh?
Very punny 😂
And thank you, it can take a lot of effort putting these videos together, so I'm glad to see they're being enjoyed! 😁👍
Even at level 1 you could kill that single sentry bot as long as you have Science 25 (deactivate the first sentry bot), lets EDE take hit while you stay as far back as possible taking pot shot
There are quite alot of loots before the last fight, the US General Outfit give good Speech Boost early game
All the weapons you get there can be repair to max conditions by EDE, wait 24 hours, sell loots to Commissary which have high caps pool
All of the DLCs in FONV are fantastic, but Lonesome Road and Dead Money are personal favorites. The lore and story is just perfect.
Ayyyyy a new synonymous video
Where is the Divide located from Mojave desert?
Even ghouls look at marked men and go "well least we're not like them"
The Marked Men are so cool. I like that they’re a unique type of ghoul not found anywhere else.
Wow I usually kill them all and go for the Ranger armors, never knew they had this much lore
it be Kool to have a non hostile marked man , that'll explain to you their whole lore
Most ripped chads of the series
I legitimately thought you had a picture of a mountain dew code red as your thumbnail
" Oopsy-doopsy. " - Courier.
Courier six"ok....I think I may have fucked up here"
In retrospect it's incredibly lazy how the constant sandstorm doesn't deal any damage to the player, even if it was a hardcore locked effect akin to the more severe cloud damage in Dead Money. In fact... everything to do with lonesome road is incredibly poorly implemented outside of the story, which itself is constantly contradicted by gameplay. Second best story after Dead Money, but it clearly has even less work put into it than Honest Hearts which itself is a joke of a DLC, instead being more like a short side questline.
Walking threw the divide at lvl 7
huh, funny how FO4's ghouls are looked like marked men.
Ironically fallout 4 ghouls have pretty smooth skin
This is why I love New Vegas, the most minor faction has such deep rooted lore that leads back years back before we wake up at Doc Mitchell's home
The marked men looked like there in pain
