Following the success of the Christmas Toy, the Jim Henson Company made a show based on the movie called, "The Secret Life of Toys”, which would basically, be its own thing. Some characters were removed, some characters were replaced, some characters were redesigned, the setting was changed, all events from the movie were completely ignored, and only Dave Golez and Jerry Nelson reprised their respective roles.
Oh dude! That is awesome! Very cool to hear that they showed it on Nickelodeon. The Muppet Christmas Carol has definitely become a Christmas classic. 👍👍👍
*Kevin Perjurer:* "The special centered around a group of toys that come to life when humans leave the room, and one toy having trouble coming to grips with the fact that he will no longer be his child's favorite. This might sound... _familiar."_ Tbh, I had this on VHS as a kid, and even back then I noticed the similarities to Toy Story on a subconscious level. Might be why I always preferred Muppet Family Christmas.
First time watching this at a much older age, but I really enjoyed it. It sparked that magic of being a child once again on Christmas day.
OMG I just rewatched this the other day and immediately I said “I wonder what happened to these puppets”. Thanks for sharing this!
Interesting, I Wonder What Happened to the Pajanimals Puppets?
I saw them back in 2018 at the Jim Henson Exhibit. From what I could find, I haven't seen them on display since that time.
Never heard of it, but sounds super cute!!!! Well done, Justin!
Thanks & thank you for watching! 🤙
This was awesome. Thank you for sharing the details!. I love the Christmas toy.
