    Brilliant! Thanks for sharing this tip , I have had the same difficulty with the technique, but your suggestions are great. Just tried it and using the finger cot is really a game changer. Excellent.

    I also use a softer clay to start with, like Sculpey lll mixed into Premo. Used up the last of a block of black S lll I had that way.

      Yes, I forgot about this! I have also used up my S3 mixed with Premo to do it. Also works very well! Thank you!

    So to be clear, you aren't using a liquid bonder between baked and raw clay?
