    What's the reason for using the acrylic powder? Could you not just cure the nail once you had finished the design? Thanks in advance 😊

    • @NailsByKatieDutra
      @NailsByKatieDutra  6 лет назад +3

      It’s to give it that matte sweater textured look. You could cure it without the powder but then you will need to go over the design again with top coat.

    Can you add a top coat after you cure the design?

    • @NailsByKatieDutra
      @NailsByKatieDutra  4 года назад

      No, it will take away from the design and you won’t see it as well

    Hi, are you planning more videos for youtube? Loved watching your uploads as you work with gel rather than acrylic. Thanks for sharing this video with us. 🌸🐨🌸

      I have been extremely busy with clients and I haven't had much extra time to make videos, but when I have some free time I will definitely make more videos! All my products are at work in the salon so unfortunately its not super easy to just grab some products and film. I am still making videos, just haven't had extra time in the last few months :)

    Can you use dipping clear powder?

    • @NailsByKatieDutra
      @NailsByKatieDutra  6 лет назад

      I’m sure you could, dipping powder is acrylic powder. 😊 I would try it and see!

    Do you cure the top coat ? X

  • @drawingwithdelilahw7151
    @drawingwithdelilahw7151 4 года назад

    Could you do it with any color powder or does it have to be clear?

    • @NailsByKatieDutra
      @NailsByKatieDutra  4 года назад

      It will change the color of the design. Clear is best, if you don’t have clear I would use a color that matches the gel polish.

    It looks nice but if you'd used a matte top coat (before you added the sweater details) it would look even better!

    • @NailsByKatieDutra
      @NailsByKatieDutra  3 года назад

      I find that sometimes the design doesn’t stand out as much over a matte nail, which is why I like to do it shiny. Both are good though!
