For all those who are saying she stole this from Suzie, y'all need to slap yourselves cause it is/was a trend and I've seen this design like how many years ago so Suzie did not come up with it!
Where I am in Canada it's a knit or sweater design. A jumper is another word for romper (one piece..shorts or pants). It's interesting to see what words mean in different countries.
YES!!! I want to recreate the cable knit one in a creamy winter white. I quite literally stole a really oversized (on me) winter white turtleneck with a cable knit pattern out of my grandfather's closet when I was a senior in high school. It was my favorite sweater for about ten years. I wore that poor sweater _to death._
I live near Suzie from Nail Career Education, in "British" Columbia. Victoria, our capital, has a lot of British influence. We mostly call them sweaters here ( or pullover ) and cardigan for one with buttons, but totally get the jumper reference. I like the design on the shiny one but love how the matte effect seems to affect the colour ( with a Canadian "u" ) of the polish. Love both your channels!
I like the colour of the shiny one but prefer that design in matte lol x I'm with you, it's a woolly jumper, my parents are Liverpudlians and they say sweater
The green polish would be more like a sage green. Love the colors and designs, but my favorite is the matte finish sage green sweater/jumper! Happy New Year!
I’m in the US. I use sweater instead of jumper, and I use pullover to mean a sweater without buttons, as opposed to a cardigan. Can’t wait to see what you come up with in the new year!
@naionail and Kirtsy, both looks are great, however they look more like the old time ceramic mixing bowls than cable knit jumpers. I think it's the colours you chose. In any case they look great 😊😍
I love this effect i use gel polish and mix some clear acrylic powder into it similar to the sand effect but you make a gel paste and use that to draw your knit design then cure in the lamp works a treat and lasts really well tfs i love your work Kirsty xxxx
I think the matte look better. I love this design. I love you Kirsty you have an amazing talent. I'm a training nail tech and hope I can get as good as you!!!
Interesting to see your progress. All the other sweater nails I have seen actually have acrylic powder or glitter sprinkled on the embossed sections. I guess maybe to make them stick out more? But it is nice to see I don't need to include that part if I don't want to. I just discovered this nail type in the spring and so I have had to wait until this season to try it. Plus the fact that my lamp is crap makes it hard to do the intricate designs because the lamp does not cure properly.
I think i would like the shiny one with a matte top coat. BUT. you know what i think i would try at least as an experiment? FLOCKING POWDER! it might be too much, on the whole nail, i'm not sure, but i would at least like to attempt it just to see what kind of effect it would give.
Never thought of flocking powder, that's a good one, I'll have to try that out! I always use acrylic powder. It brings out the 3d look better than gel polish, just my opinion. Honestly I just love this design anyway it's done. It's a very beautiful design!
Hi Kirsty and team, happy New Year to you all and to all your subbies. I like the shinny nail better. Now a days a lot of people are into matte (which was called dull when I was growing up), I like sparkle and shine to things, it stands out.
I wonder if someone could come up with a Fairisle design or if some already has. For those who dont know, Fairisle is knitted with two or more colores in the design.
The matte! I would have loved to see it in off white with the design of the shiney with the matte top coat! It would be like a wool jumper. But for this one I'm going with the Matte! Because of the effect. Thanks, Kirsty!

Right? This has been a Winter trend for like 10 years lol
Similar colour, similar pattern tho :/ and a matter of days later.
Debbie McDarby thats when it was posted but kirsty made this after she did her angel nails and before she did her new years set
@Debbie McDarby so what!? Lots of similar stuff on youtube if things are trending, get a life luv, this is not high school!
Thank you!

That greenish color, I'd call it Sage , these are beautiful
Jenny Kafer tvd
Beautiful! I like the style of the shiny one, but would love it in matte.

That's funny, because when I hear "jumper" I always think that's someone who jumps a lot! LOL!
So cute! I love this technique.
With that particular design, I adore the matte version. it being a jumper and all, it just seems more fitting and pretty to me that way!!!

Jerralyn Rose we're in the same hood! 😊 I live in broadmead. I watch Suzie all the time.
Kirsty & Susie are the 1st ones I found and LOVE to watch. ❤
I like the colour of the shiny one but prefer that design in matte lol x I'm with you, it's a woolly jumper, my parents are Liverpudlians and they say sweater
I love the sage colour & matte finish, but the smokey blue design is so stunning! Oh, the decisions!
Love your art work, and I just thought you should know that you have really inspired me.
First of all I am a knitter and love the cable techniques. These na I ls are gorgeous. I really like the matte look but love both designs!
The green polish would be more like a sage green.
Love the colors and designs, but my favorite is the matte finish sage green sweater/jumper! Happy New Year!
The blue made me a sweater nail lover. So shiney.
Wouldn't using builder gel be more effective over the base and then top coat it with the colour also?
of course your sweater nails are the best I've seen!
Yes for me it is also the most difficult to draw straight lines with little dots and all! It is always a pleasure watching your vids!! 🤗
I love the matte, it has a warm and cozy look.
I love the matte nail the best. The color reminds me of a dusty teal.... simple and very pretty. 😊
I love the matte look on the sweater nails!!
I like the matte look plus the color I love. It’s more a attention getter. Love the design.
I’m in the US. I use sweater instead of jumper, and I use pullover to mean a sweater without buttons, as opposed to a cardigan. Can’t wait to see what you come up with in the new year!
Matt as a feature nail for sure. Both are so stunning!
These are almost as beautiful as your New Years Eve nails. I'm generally not a fan of matte nails, but these are spectacular!!
@naionail and Kirtsy, both looks are great, however they look more like the old time ceramic mixing bowls than cable knit jumpers. I think it's the colours you chose. In any case they look great 😊😍

Love the matte "muted mint"! Can't wait to try this design!!
You did awesome!! The matte finish is hands down the best💕
I really like both of them. I would have one hand with shiny and the other side with the matte. Great job.
Gorgeous. Love the matte ‘jumper’!
Beautiful! I love your expression of using the tip of the brush to tickle the gel! lol That's a good way of putting it!
I think the matte look better. I love this design. I love you Kirsty you have an amazing talent. I'm a training nail tech and hope I can get as good as you!!!
Matte all the wayy! seems to suit the sweater theme better!
I love the matte grey green one, it's so pretty!
Happy New Year!! I prefer the shiny nail....but it's mostly because of the color and design. They're both gorgeous!
Love the Matte muted nail. Thank you for your great work.
Love the matte. I love the color and the finish
I like the look of the matte but the design of the glossy one better. Both are quite beautiful thou!!
Love the sweater nails but the matte is definitely my favorite!!
I like the design on the shiny nail, but I like color and finish of the matte nail!
I love your sweather nails.. so warm and confortable
I love the Matte one, had a look at a couple of other vids of similar nails and yours is by far the best!
Interesting to see your progress. All the other sweater nails I have seen actually have acrylic powder or glitter sprinkled on the embossed sections. I guess maybe to make them stick out more? Love them both! Can’t decide
Love the glossy design but the matte finish. Happy New year!
I have been loving the matte look lately! Happy New Year to all!!
Very cool. I like the design of both but prefer the matte finish os the 2nd nail you did!
Love the matte effect but prefer the other design itself. These are so neat!
I love the colour of the shiny one, but love the matt effect more.
Love the shining one. I'm learning this technique, however you didn't dip into power. Great job👀
I think i would like the shiny one with a matte top coat. BUT. you know what i think i would try at least as an experiment? FLOCKING POWDER! it might be too much, on the whole nail, i'm not sure, but i would at least like to attempt it just to see what kind of effect it would give.
PoesRaven1984 I've done it with flocking powder. I think it depends on the grain as mine was a mess. But I do see potential!
Never thought of flocking powder, that's a good one, I'll have to try that out! I always use acrylic powder. It brings out the 3d look better than gel polish, just my opinion. Honestly I just love this design anyway it's done. It's a very beautiful design!
My favorite is the matte one 😍 a sucker for a matte design!
I like the sage green on, but I think it would like some flocking to make it look more like a knitted jumper!! That might be cool too!!
I love them both that would be a hard decision to pick one but I guess I would have to say the mat. I love love your videos.
Shiny all the way! Shiny reminds me of a brand new car! 👍🏻
Hi Kirsty and team, happy New Year to you all and to all your subbies. I like the shinny nail better. Now a days a lot of people are into matte (which was called dull when I was growing up), I like sparkle and shine to things, it stands out.
