The prices of Goldbacks at different online bullion dealers get much closer to eachother as the denomination goes up. The real savings here is on the single 1 notes.
I've already bought around 1200 goldbacks of various denominations. I think they are pretty neat, if nothing else just for the art. As I stated on another of your videos, it would be great fun to do an epoxied countertop in them.
@@jimv.661 I collect them. If you'd ever consider selling let me know, we can talk. Could increase your face value of goldbacks while I would get to increase my collection 😉😎
That’s awesome! I think they are really cool too. I have about 20 so just getting started. Can’t wait to use them for tipping in Southern California this next week. A countertop with them would be really cool. If you do it, let me know.
With tipping, I like to lay out a pile of fiat dollars and next to it have the goldbacks. I give the waiter/waitress a condensed version of what they are, and ask them which tip they would like. Great fun!
Very interesting that Ace Hardware took them and was even set up in their register for the exchange. It will be an awesome change of events if the people can make this change across the US. #teamSHTF
I found my goldbacks at $4.60 per 1 goldback. Even though my state doesn’t have goldbacks yet , I’m getting prepared. Plus they are a nice conversation starter
@@StackingSurfer check out defy the grid … that’s where I get mine from. They are the cheapest and the fastest to ship out .. APMEX took 2 weeks , defy the grid took 4 days
That was a great video. I think a big challenge might be the same as the fiat $2 bill. People will think everyone they see is a collectable and keep them but not spend them. People will have to see a regular money to be spent not hoarded as a novelty.
So cool to see them in use - I'm a firm believer as people lose faith in fiat they will divert reliance onto real money. Goldbacks fill that niche perfectly
I think so too. I think they would also be great for SHTF bartering. It will take some time educating but they are much lighter in weight than silver and still pack a good value.
@@StackingSurfer thing is, if we are at a point where fiat is worthless, people won't trade their valuable food and water for what is a worthless metal, it will be directly for other goods
At first yes. Once a system is established or returns, silver could be used. Gold would be for large purchases or to restore wealth in a new system. Water, food, protection, shelter and energy trump any crypto and precious metals when people are hungry.
Love it. I’m going to give it a try here in the OC and see what happens. I’m also going to try to tip using them and see if they will take them instead of cash.
We will find out. Just filmed at Huntington pier a week ago and asked people if they would rather have a chocolate bar or silver bar. More people wanted the silver bar than I though would. I only had one but a bunch really wanted it. Some folks are waking up.
On top of the 9% savings calculate the deflation a dollar has and your % ups another 10%+ ish which is real money. I keep as much of my cash in Goldbacks as I can. Also add tax savings as well.
Not to mention historically the overall goldback value increases faster than gold itself does! Speaks volumes about how the market values the utility. One could theoretically hold their goldbacks and then trade them for goods and services down the road after the exchange rate further increases and get an even greater savings
Not yet! But it’s coming this week and next. I will be trying to sell them at the beach next weekend, asking people if they think it’s work more than cash or chocolate! First chocolate or silver bar videos already filmed and being edited this weekend.
They only have Utah, Nevada, New Hampshire, Wyoming, and as of September 19 in a few weeks South Dakota! There's definitely rumors about what the next series will be though.
You shoulda absolutely told Lowes that you're able to use them at their competitor and who/where that was. And tell the Manager, does nothing to tell a clerical worker.
I was just visiting from out of state and one store is not gonna make much of a difference if you’re only only there once every three years so yes if you live locally and you want to use Gould back, I would go complain every time you come in eventually you need to write to your to Lowe’s or to try to get a hold of their corporate management. They’re the ones I’m gonna make the decision on whether Gould are used or not not in the individual store or manager.
Yes. I did get change back. I was able to get a 6% discount by using the Goldbacks vs cash. The video didn’t record the audio the first time around so we had to reshoot and it was a bit messed up. I had to make a flight. lol. I don’t live in Utah.
Great point. One of the main things I want to push over the next 12 months is helping people use sound money in more everyday transactions. Let’s reduce our digital footprints and get more businesses taking these gold backs and other precious metals.
Thank you so much Tiger! I was so happy to see your channel and TuliTuli’s channel grow tonight too. Also, my friend Metal Scholar. What an incredible night all around.

Just about any coin shop or pawn shop should take them. What price you get could vary greatly. Any store that takes them in the states that participate like Nevada should pay around $5.20 per 1 gold back.
I hear you. Don’t stack these. They are fun to hold and use at stores that take them. They don’t cost extra to buy if you are using them at stores that take them and you buy them direct from Alpine Gold Exchange. Maybe a few cents fee. Fun experiment in using sound money though.
Not from my experience. Please see my video on burning a Goldback. There is solid real gold there that I will be giving away on my livestream this Wed at 5:00 pm PDT.
@@buyystocks Anytime. It’s actually 24k gold in the gold backs. I’m told by Alpine Gold Exchange that if you burned 1,000 single gold backs you would end up with more than an ounce of gold. By weight they have a hearty premium. But using them for commerce is their intended use and they work great where accepted.
That should be worth something. Like one of my 1,000 sub (only 10 made) stickers. I will be giving those out during my 1,000 sub party next week. Stay turned for the exact date and time. In the mean time, email me your address and I will save one of those for you along with a silver gift.
This is true. Don’t buy these for the gold weight but for the ability to use them in commerce. Goldback does back these up at the exchange rate. So they are worth $4 but only $1.95 in gold weight.
They are really fun and cool. People keep getting caught up on the premium without realizing the utility. Buy or don’t buy but to learn about them. Perfect for big out bags, commerce in the 6 states that take them. Awesome to use for tipping. The most fractional gold out there.

I really like the concept of goldbacks
The concept is great. I wouldn't stack them for weight, but using them as money was fun and I will do it again.
Wherever you are, ask, "Will you take gold for that?" If they say yes you're trading Goldbacks! So, carry your Goldbacks and show them around!
