      Yes I love the Freedom Trail and Boston in general because it really is onf of the most historical places in America. If you're interested in the early history of America also check out our St. Augustine video- the oldest city in the continental USA. Thanks for watching!

    I’ve walked the freedom trail a couple of times in my life but don’t think I’ve ever fully went to every site. Thanks for showing me all of these amazing pieces of history. I love all of your videos. One question. Do you think you could travel the full freedom trail in one day?

    • @ProjectGaiaTravel
      @ProjectGaiaTravel  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for watching! Yes you definitely can do the whole freedom trail in a day, but would be a long day- and depending on how in depth you go into every site can really take all day- also if you stop for lunch and dinner- that will eat up some of your time. I'd say it can take as short as 4 hours and as long as 8 hours. But a day is definitely doable if you start before 11AM.

      I did it in one day. Just start early and you'll be done in 5-6 hours even including lunch.

      @@ProjectGaiaTravel Yes I'd second doing beginning before 11 if you want to see the whole thing in one day. I started a little after 9- but I stay at the sites for a long time.

    OMG Fanual Hall not Fenual Hall gad!!!! Some of your information is a bit off and dated. I've been a tour guide in Boston on the trail from 2009 to 2023. However I agree with you about the Old corner bookstore, Save by the Boston Globe in 1964 otherwise it and buildings on School and Washington Streets next to it, would have been part of the parking garage behind it. Pronunciation of buildings and towns in Massachusetts is challenge for anyone from out of the state.

    I also think it is a disgrace that the Old Corner Bookstore is now a Chiptole wtf

    Thanks for this fascinating history tour. I walked the freedom trail once and it was inspiring walking through all the Revolutionary era sites. When you go there, it is sometimes difficult to understand the significance of each site because there are no signs, narration, or audio guides- so this video you made I think is perfect if someone is about to visit the freedom trail because it will help them understand what they're about to see. You could take a formal tour yes, but this video allows you to see it yourself at your own pace. Thanks again for this historical addition.

      Thanks for watching and yes it could be difficult to understand what everything is if you don't have an audio guide, proper tour guide, or this video so I'm glad I could help!

    Is it better to do this as a paid guided tour or just do it yourself?

    • @ProjectGaiaTravel
      @ProjectGaiaTravel  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Shanna. So it really depends on the depth of information you are hoping to learn on the tour. I sometimes find that guided tours can go a little overboard into the topic and over time start to lose some of their customers to boredom on the tour.
      If you're an avid history buff- and it really makes you happy to learn all of the ins and outs of a specific sight- then you will get a better value with a guided tour for sure.
      If you're a casual appreciator of history- it may bore you, and it may be better to simply get a guide book, watch this video, or download a Boston Freedom Trail audio guide. So that you may set your own pace. I hope this was helpful and please let me know if you have any other questions.
      All the Best,
      JP

      We had the privilege to tour with an amazing guide, Jeremiah Poope.
      Yes his real name, and he is amazing! He kept everyone engaged on the tour of Boy Scouts, age ranging from 11 and up.
      He is so knowledgeable and entertaining. It was our pleasure, privilege if you will to have had the opportunity to experience his expertise, knowledge, and enthusiasm.
      Truly appreciated is 20 years of experience and dedication to his trade/craft. Loved it!

    The Pilgrims were NOT Puritans, they were Separatists. Puritans wanted to purify the Church of England , Separatists wanted to separate from it.
