Yes that is why I came to see the trailer again after starting to read the first book :D The trailer is not a 100% accurate to the book but nevertheless very cool :D
Love how this is almost word for word how the fight with the Striga went in the books. Thats one thing about the show's version of this that I didn't like, in the book, for basically the entire battle save for the very end where she transformed back into a human, Geralt was in complete control of the battle, he didn't even draw his sword until like halfway through, while in the show he was just kind of flailing around and kept screwing up. Book/Game Geralt just felt a lot more experienced.
Witcher 3 is my favorite rpg out there. The trilogy as a story is one of my favorites , you call yourself a fan and you didn't played the games yet? Shame on you!
When I first died from falling in witcher 3, I remembered that first witcher cutscene... anyways, Mods to the rescue ! PS : Witcher 1 Cutscenes were always amazing, considering how old they are too ! =D
After reading the book I have to say I imagined the striga being much not as muscly as it appears here, but rather almost gangly like Spitter from L4D2
In love with the music, I listen to it all day. But I've never played the game, read the books, or watched the show 🤣 Haven't played games in years, maybe this will be exactly what I needed!
I like the Witcher series and am looking forward to the third game, but I gotta say this: the first game was designed to annoy players with complexity.
Chicken Mike complexity was fine for me in the first one I'd say it's about as complex as the second. only annoying thing for me was the god damn rhythm based combat system that just pissed me off and get floaty af
Would love to see that being remade by the devs just for funzies (I mean, fans can do it too, but I'm worried they might throw something too different that matches them, if you know what I mean).
Sadly Sapowzki doesn't consider the games as canon. Even though CD Projekt red writing the continuation way way better. Series will follow only contents of the books.
There's something very creepy and cool about witcher 1 Geralt. He looks less human, which I think makes sense considering that he's a mutant. In the show, he is just too human imo. I would have loved the show 10 times more if they made him like this.
So throw a rock at it, go hand to hand, than throw it 20 feet and hit some scaffolding with enough force to drop said scaffolding, then climb a tower cause it'll come after you and punch it, only then draw your weapon and flourish for a solid ten seconds. And if it tries to run away go inside and sleep in a coffin. The only thing more nonsensical was when I then tried playing it cause a friend said it was cool.
+Souliens I'll admit my feelings have changed in one year. I believe in supporting CD Projekt Red. They do things their own way, and they do right by their fans. And thank you for validating me. You didn't have to.
Paultheawesome13 the sleping in the cofin makes sense lorewise, because when day time aproaches strigas go somewhere safe(most of the time in a sarcophagus inside a crypt like we see here) to escape it, and if you want to lift the curse of a striga you need to survive a night near her sarcophagus, and thats just what geralt did in this trailer.
@@iamarbiter6469 yeah like tf, its basically the same thing with even more at stake in the netflix series. the Striga was scary af in the show. unlike here in this vid where it got more muscles and stuff but didnt do shit. this is lame.
@@kobikwahbz5763 I have to admit, this does put netflix's version to shame 100%. Because if you actually watched the netflix version, you'd see the striga just grabbing and tossing Geralt around without doing any other attacks and just fucking cheap ass screaming unlike she did with the previous witcher one tapping him and Gerald being tossed around with no strategy whatsoever. At least in this version there is strategy and professionalism of being a witcher is shown.
9garr It's a story from the first book, she sliced his neck because she was still confused. He survived and woke up two days after the fight and the curse broke.
It's just as good as witcher 3 atmosphere-wise but people don't bother playing it. All 3 games are epic and should be played in order for best experience.
Actually, the first Witcher was a smashing hit as well, pretty much an AAA title. You just weren't aware of it back then because of many possible reasons.
This scene is at the beginning of the 1st book. Awesome! :)
Yes that is why I came to see the trailer again after starting to read the first book :D The trailer is not a 100% accurate to the book but nevertheless very cool :D
Same here :D
I came back after i read the book
@Mr Satan it is
Paul C Yup and that short story is also called the Witcher
Love how this is almost word for word how the fight with the Striga went in the books. yes
Finally someone said what I think all the time
Just started reading The Last Wish (witcher book) and the first encounter in the book is literally this trailer, so cool.
if i would have jumped from that height in the wither 3 i would have died :(
+behop9312 You can't even jump in witcher 1.
Or switcher 2
Rebecca Leonard play switcher 2 a game where everything from the witcher games is upside down.
that sucks lol, in the book he once jumped down a height that considered as impossible for normal human
If Geralt falls like 5 feet, he dies lmao. He also can’t climb well in any of the games.
1:40 windows error message
**ping**
This series is pretty badass, don't know how I almost missed a great game. Just started Witcher 2 and it's awesome.

5:16 That moment when you are a monster but you know you shouldn't mess with the one in front of you xD
Wow I need to play these games. That cutscene was so close to the book The Last Wish
Witcher 3 is my favorite rpg out there. The trilogy as a story is one of my favorites , you call yourself a fan and you didn't played the games yet? Shame on you!
I've only started reading it. Got to start somewhere ;-)
1.99 on steam... WORTH IT!!
One of the first remakes we've actually needed! Let's go!
Anyone else think this trailers version of the fight was better than the shows was?
And that Triss is ugly AF in the show
@@Bonedripper i wouldnt say shes ugly Just not how shes described in the books

2:00 Yh that's not happening
Just like in The Last Wish
Having playing the Witcher games since the first, I was happy to see this trailer brought to life in the third episode of the series. :)
Oh, yes! That is that unique mythology, the Slavic one! Slava!
Come back here after watched ep 3 of Netflix Witcher
Hahaha the moment i heard striga. I came right here
0:56 when you take pre workout for the first time
Best video game intro of all time
After reading the book I have to say I imagined the striga being much not as muscly as it appears here, but rather almost gangly like Spitter from L4D2
xD
Just bought this on steam for 2 bucks on a sale!
@4:45 the netflix got that part right in the tv series. but better.
This is the lore accurate Geralt.
It is amazing that this game will be remastered!!!🎉🎉
In love with the music, I listen to it all day.
But I've never played the game, read the books, or watched the show 🤣
Haven't played games in years, maybe this will be exactly what I needed!
I have never seen this trailer, it is the first history of the books!
2:00 yeah, that's bullshit.
Not really.
He's a whither they are nonhuman so he is more capable
we know, its just that in the witcher 3, we die from that height xD
No haysack in sight. Wait, wrong series... 😅
"He's a whither they are nonhuman so he is more capable"
Whithers are awesome.
So I am reading the book. And damn, it is this scene!
Dam they used this in episode 3 this show is fucking killing it
I'm just here after Netflix's The Witcher episode 3. 😂
episode3 :)))
@@mustafakudatku5701 ahhh, thanks mate. 😇
When I bought my first pc - suped - this was the 1st thing I watched - the 1st game I played. Witcher !

So fucking happy this made it to Netflix's Witcher
Brawa dla Sapkowskiego! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I'm here after ep. 3 from Netflix series. So far Witcher on Netflix is superb and Henry Calvill is owning the role as Geralt.
this series has some incredibly badass trailers ... not sure how the first two in the series managed to slip under my radar
Would love to see that being remade by the devs just for funzies (I mean, fans can do it too, but I'm worried they might throw something too different that matches them, if you know what I mean).
Разработчик этой игры красавец по жизни
I wondering who is going to play Letho when time comes for Assassin Of Kings season
Was thinking that aswell
SonOfWolf 22 well letho isnt a character from the books, so no letho in the serie sadly
Sadly Sapowzki doesn't consider the games as canon. Even though CD Projekt red writing the continuation way way better. Series will follow only contents of the books.
Dwayne Johnson
Martijn Hagens It isn't? fuck didn't know that
And then there’s me thinking: “pull your frickin’ sword out!”
Who has come here after watching netflix the witcher ✌️
You are one year late.
I didn't know Geralt was an assassin.
This video is basically just Gerald trolling a monster (:
It never stood a chance and the Witcher only uses non-leathal moves until he get's bored (:
No he needs to prevent her from getting into the grave until sunrise to lift the curse.
I love this game already.
There's something very creepy and cool about witcher 1 Geralt. He looks less human, which I think makes sense considering that he's a mutant. In the show, he is just too human imo. I would have loved the show 10 times more if they made him like this.
In the games he's much more apathetic to his surroundings while in the show he's always pissed off. They completely fucked his character.
I'm so excited about this.
The beginning of the greatest game of all time
Ka-me Ha-me Aard!

Ah!
In the tv series they did this a bit differently tell me which is more true to the game?
the book=) and then the tv i think. The game is pretty much different:(
Sweetness , gotta get my hands on this game :)
well i have never played the gamnes but i really wish that the tv show came out first then they made the games
Thank god it wasn't in that order

geralt isn’t wearing his medallion. weird.
So is this where the episode 3 of the series is based from
This puts the Netflix version to shame.

"The Princess Striga"
what happened at the end? im confused, please explain

Locke147 thanks :)
Then he travelled to Melitele sanctum, where he healed, If I remember correctly :D
he bit her neck until she passed out

No

Best game ever!
you think the books are expensive? I'd rather read and play the games than watch the show
+Des Vanbelli (運命) the show is cancer , dont do it . The books are not translated into english , you can find fan-translation on the internet tho .
+TheSkipRow Gaming oh wow I didn't know the books didn't come in English thanks for letting me know
+Des Vanbelli (運命) The books are translated in english. They're also available on amazon for kindle. $30-ish for the whole series
SonofRobin Not all the books are translated , only the first 3.

best game ever bro !
See in this trailer he was actually killing monsters
He's not killing her on purpose.
5:22 Just imagine being so badass, that you make your prey, Striga, who is one big bundle of muscle, teeth and bestial insticts running and whining😂

When you think that The Witcher 3 looks even better than this CG trailer
When you think that no one ever heard of Witcher 1&2 until Witcher 3 came out.
Eh,true...
Witcher 2 was a big success :P

I recently played it.....It was amazing...now I'm playing The Witcher 3
Actually, the first Witcher was a smashing hit as well, pretty much an AAA title. You just weren't aware of it back then because of many possible reasons.
The Witcher is almost as tough as Joe Biden. This is totally like his fight with Corn Pop the gang leader.
valorant is better
