In this video, I compared the Comodo 9900DLS to a Bootleg Inner pillow from one of the English Dakimakura site, Generally, you might be looking for a CMD9000 or DHR6000, Is just that I decided to get one that's better, they are about 5000 Yen cheaper than the one I got, which should be around $79 USD, plus Proxy service fees, shipping fees, custom clearance fees, will add up to around $130 USD, (depend on what shipping method), which is almost the same as the Bootleg one, except you get a Quality legitimate and comfortable Pillow, I used EMS for shipping and from shipping to arrival took only 6 days, the bootleg one also took around the same time.
As you can see from the video, The packaging of the pillow is already very different, the way they treat the pillow can kind of tell if is a good product or not. The bootleg one in the video was Suppose to be a 160cmX50cm, Grand Siberian Deluxe material, whatever that is, but it was clearly about 10cm short and more narrow than the CMD9900, which was also 160cmX50cm, I'm not even sure if they sent the wrong size or they just scam people on purpose, even though selling bootleg is already a scam.
The difference in the comfort is day and night, and the Pillow case fits nice and snug, where the bootleg one is shorter and more narrower so it was very loose for the whole thing.
HOW TO SPOT FAKES:
- Any site that has the "Grand Siberian Deluxe" or Eiderdown Cotton" and shares the same image for product image are Fakes,
- Always on discount.
- Does not provide detailed information.

I was new to the Daki stuff so I purchased a Bootleg one without knowing, it was a lesson learned, never get bootleg, they are a waste of money, for the same price you could get an authentic Daki from Japan and not have to regret after buying. Daki.us hmmm

dont bother with actual daki inserts. i personally love the snuggle pedic bamboo 150cm ground memory foam pillow i have 2 daki's and they both have it only $70. they never go flat, get too hot, loose their shape. or stop being fluffy, and are fully machine washable/dryable. only downside is they are super heavy but that's what i like about them personally. plus have a 10 year warranty i think
If you're on a low budget, cheap out on the cover and put more money into the inner. You won't regret it.

We all know the real reason for buying bootleg pillows is because we’re poor
it's part of it, but tbh, there are really good ones out there for similar or less, wayyyyyy better than the bootleg too.

how's your daki holding up to this day? i'm in the market for one rn, but i'm seeing alot of reviews saying that their covers rotate into an awkward position every time they wake up. i'm just going to assume they didn't air out their daki for long enough. i'm debating between the CMD9900MS (20x60), CMD9150 (which the the 20x60 version of the CMD9000), and the CMD9950MS. not sure which one to go for. i'm assuming that the higher the number the better the quality gets?
It is very good still, maybe a little less firm than new. Right now I actually use a different pillow than the one in the video, I will pin a comment about this. but the pillow cover rotating seems to be a problem with the material of the inner pillow not grabbing the pillow cover, the one in the video CMD9900LS unfortunately does that, it was around a month after this video I purchased a TOMONE SS900, it is a little cheaper than the CMD9900LS, though to be honest the comfort is the same, the only difference is that the SS900 isn't full cotton, is a mixed polyester and cotton, and more importantly it does not rotate, it does have a kind of suede like surface compared to the CMD.
I'm unsure on how to buy one while making sure the surface material isn't like the one shown in the video, because you mostly will have the rotating problem if you get it. I'd say try another brand if you want to avoid this problem. I could be wrong but I think higher number just means more cotton, where as lower number they will mix polyester.
I bought the CMD a year ago for my dakimakuras. I'll never go back to cheap pillows. Go ahead and spend the extra money, you'll have a pillow that'll last forever.

it was a month after I made this video, I purchased a TOMONE SS900, because unfortunately the CMD9900LS shown in the video had the problem of pillow cover rotating when you use it, and it seems to be related to the surface material of the inner pillow. the TOMONE SS900 had a suede like material compared to the smooth surface of the CMD, and I assume because of the suede material it is able to grab the pillow cover and prevent it from rotating.
I am still using the TOMONE SS900, and it is very good, no rotating whatsoever, at the time the TOMONE was considered to be the budget option, because I think it was much cheaper than the CMD, however to be completely honest, the comfort is nearly the same, while the CMD9900LS was 100% cotton, the TOMONE SS900 was mixed, and slightly less stuffed than the CMD, but I promise you it isn't a problem at all.
currently they don't seem to be on amazon.jp anymore but some other sites still offers it, if is is too much of a hassle, you should try your luck with DHR pillows to avoid the potential problem of the pillow cover rotating with the CMD ones.

Currently i still use the Tomone SS900, it is very good. There might some reddit post with an updated spread sheet of bunch of good inners.

damnnnn, I'm sorry man, you could try contacting the seller on returns, but most likely the pillow is shipped from China and doing a return would be too much of a hassle, you can still try to file a claim on ebay saying that the product is different from the picture, and if that doesn't work, like all of us, gotta just suck it up this time and learn from our mistakes.

Are all the body legit pillows 100$?
$100 would be above average range, likely 100% cotton. my current one is around $80CAD. is mixed polyester and cotton, but feels not too different actually, it tends to be a bit more firm than full cotton.
Is dhr5000 good?
Yes, most of the named brand one are all very good compared to the fake ones, the only difference between the numbers is the cotton to polyester count.

If it isn't a branded one then it is a bootleg, but knowing is eBay, there could be branded one that's a Fake. best to do is compare prices with the real deal to know if you must buy from eBay.
These bootlegs daki fillers are now $20 or less on Ebay, I'll look for the japanese ones better
