- As part of a new effort to bring life back to San Francisco, a non-profit is awarding grants to two neighborhoods to hold night markets. Chinatown is one of them and their next night market is this Friday. The other district is the Sunset District.

I'm excited for this. Went to the Sunset night market last year and it was fun. There was a lot of police present, very family friendly. I would definitely recommend taking public transportation though, parking was crazy.
Wow I am happy to hear that Sunset will have night market too.
Delightful. I'm considering moving here from Virginia.
Watch out for the usual offenders.
Young black people. They stick out like a sore thumb. Stereotypes are there for a reason
I loved Chinatown back in the 60s
This is cool. Manny is making a name for himself.
North Beach would be fun too.
Great question on security.
If no cops present, I will not go.
They won't be, the city just voted against funding after our wonderful mayor just endorsed it!
Police will be there, they even mentioned this in the video 🙄
But if you’re scared, stay home you ❄️
@@oliverolson2261 Wonderful mayor? She is the reason things are so bad in the first place.
Must be an election year.
It’s nice!
It won't be long before the problems start creeping in from beyond the city when they see us recover.
I hope the people actually support the cops when they inevitably have to solve another problem permanently.
All the money is useless if we let the problem-supporters riot again.
We need one in Bayview.
Potrero Hill, Visitacion Valley, and Tenderloin.😊
Good luck
Just don’t get bipped pay for secure parking
Night markets are not suppose to be expensive. These are all bootleg ones that's designed to take more of your money.
I buy my dumplings from them
Americans from the red states were San Francisco's biggest tourist population but they will not come anymore for many reasons. Now SF has to rely on mostly international tourists whos numbers are no where near what SF needs. Soon the wealthy people will have SF all to themselves and not have to deal with pesky tourists.
Great, more chance for car breakins. Try being tougher on crime so you don't have to create the wheel. Seen the city fall since 2009, it's no surprise.

As someone from the Bay Area and not living in San Francisco HELL NAWW...I would rather go to BURLINGAME or PALO ALTO than shop in Chinatown SF at night.
not very gigachad of you for being scared
I wouldn’t go all the way to go. But if I was there for some reason I wouldn’t mind taking a look
@@itsjammbi6 - You guys don't get our money anymore. Deal with it.

How about making housing affordable again? Ban real estate speculators and re open art spaces and non profits in those empty office buildings.
The city needs to prosecute criminals and clean up crime to get tourists back. I guarantee this will bring in hooligans from surrounding areas. Locals don't want anything to do with these little markets. The food isn't up to city standards and the cheap MIC tchotchkes aren't a draw. The city needs to prosecute criminals and clean up crime! What adult person wants to drive into the city and have their car broken into? Are there any grown ups or marketing professionals making decisions?
How are do know that locals don’t want to go to these? Do you live in SF or even in the area? They’ve had night markets in the Sunset and Chinatown and they were packed.
They even showed this in the video but I’m sure your smooth brain couldn’t even comprehend that before regurgitating the same tired old talking points.
Anyway, have a day you crybaby ❄️
❤❤❤
Thank you Manny!!!!
The money is going into someone's pockets.
That’s how money usually works my guy 😂
You already know.
Is there money in your pocket?
Amazing !! All being done in Election year! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The Sunset Night Market was held last year 2023 which was not a presidential/senate/congressional election year.
@@RaymondHng You keep thinking that Ray!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@smoothoperator1083 I'm not imagining that. The Sunset Night Market actually happened on Friday, Sept 15, 2023, 5pm-10pm on Irving Street between 20th Ave and 23rd Ave. I live in the Outer Sunset. My supervisor Joel Engardio spearheaded the effort.
The city has been destroyed by Democrat politicians and many residents STILL vote Democrat. How dumb can you be???
@@RaymondHng Tell your supervisor to do it after the elections bud. And to help you and everyone. Because that is you pay your taxes for. Rake a stand against these people. Be on their case 24/7
How long before a group of the usual suspects ruin it for everyone else?
San Francisco weather is cold nighttime. Therfore, it's not suitable for me to enjoy walking in night market. Even summer months.
Duh?
Low 50’s my guy, put on a jacket and you’ll be ok.
I rather be a little cold than sweating my 🍑 off anytime
So many problems in this city right now, but let’s waste some more money on unnecessary BS.
It’s a grant from a non-profit you 🤡, they can spend their money how they want.
And yeah helping out struggling communities and local businesses is “unnecessary BS” 🙄
What a loser take lol
Ok now how many victims will there be
None
Sounds like you got some “victim mentality” going on there my guy. 😂Since you’re so worried, why don’t you do us all a favor and stay home you ❄️
@@hsuehhs1lol hard to believe
@@Lymeng25 how many victims were at The Fourth of July parade?
The Democrat propaganda media doing another commercial for San Francisco
what could go wrong? 🤣
Well, what?
Who's supplying the bulletproof vests and weapons to the attendees?
If you're afraid, don't go. Would you go to Gaza now?
Reminds me the time my friend applied for a gas station at Richmond and one of the requirements was to have a bulletproof vest on
@@MMaStrongestFighter Was his name Leland? He wore one while on duty for fun at the gas station on Geary during the 1980s when I worked there. They all brought their own guns. Just gun nuts. Nothing has changed, just less gang shootings.
