The REAL spoiler at acoustic open mics is sadly the audiences. Talking loudly DURING performances kills many acts especially the quieter acts. The best open mic in London England is “THE LIBRARY “ (Highbury & Islington.) it’s a pub with a designated playing room a floor above the bar. The rule is NO CHIT CHAT during performances. Gotta be there early MONDAYS (6pm) if you want a spot. Sign up is at 7pm. Two songs. Once you play there you’ll never play anywhere else with such a respectful audience.
For musical open nights, there are a few more: - Hey, I haven't bought a tuner yet but they tuned my guitar at the music shop when I bought it four years ago so it'll be just fine... - Thank you, everyone. I'm just going to take my guitar out of its gig bag and spend the next five minutes tuning it up. Oh, it looks like the battery in my tuner has failed, can anyone lend me a tuner? Or a guitar... - Ok, for my next song I have to retune my guitar, just talk among yourselves for a bit. (BANG!) Looks like I broke the e string, can anyone let me have a spare string. No thanks, I only use D'Addarios... - Wow, if I do a song I get a free beer. Hold on, let me see if I can remember how to play Frere Jacques... - I think I normally do this next song in G. ... No, sorry, that's too high, let's try D. ... No, still not right, let's give C a try... No, I think it's G after all... - I'm just going to program 15 layers of backing track onto my looper pedal. ... Whoops, sorry I played that last one wrong, so I'll have to start again... - I'm just going to play a selection of my favourite George Formby numbers on this plastic ukulele that I bought for £15....
This was hilarious xDDDDDDDDD the funniest one was the hit plug and run one
