- With just a few weeks to go before EU elections, the far right in France is on track for a comfortable win, if the polls are correct. The National Rally only just beat France's ruling party, Renaissance, in the last EU elections in 2019. This time, a wide gap has opened between the two, potentially striking a serious political blow to President Emmanuel Macron and his idea of a more powerful Europe. The National Rally has struck a chord with its campaign about purchasing power, standards of living and crime in French cities. We take a closer look.

You cant stop an idea that's time has come
What idea? Nationalism? Isolationsm? History shows that it does not work and eventually kills millions and curses most of the population to starvation and slavery... unltil it is overthrown. Aren't we intelligent enough to stop repeating the same mistakes over and over again and expecting a different outcome? (which is the definition of stupidity)

I am also becoming a pessimist, I don't think either that we can stop stupidity. And this seems to be the time of stupidity. Any hopes for saving the planet from global warming can be forgotten.

@mmarques2736 It's not stupidity... no matter how it seems. I've listened to very intelligent people say the most incredibly bizarre things, e.g. repeating Fux$ News nonsense. They are trapped in an informatoin bubble called "confirmation bias". How to burst that bubble and let in the light is the major issue of our time.

Europe's far right, centre, or left will not legalise marijuana and use that taxation for public health, and housing, which doesn't leave voters much choice for parties to vote for 😁👍
As a former left wing voter (I was voting left for the last 20 years) I must admit that the most reasonable thing to do nowadays is to vote right wing! It's disgusting what the woke leftists did to our societies!!!!!!
