This ship has seen it all - a gloriously luxury life, a starring role in a Hollywood blockbuster AND now like all Hollywood stars, some pretty major mid-life cosmetic surgery. How on earth do you chop a ship in half, add a whole new section and weld it all back together and make it look so good? Well, step aboard Windstar Cruises 'brand new' Star Legend and we'll show you one of her brand new suites, a mid ship Star Suite on deck 6. this suite did not exist before the stretching, so essentially this part of the ship is brand new. Come and see what we thought.

Winstar is my favorite raise line
Great videos thank you! Excellent videography!
Thank you ☺️
Very nice, though on the upcoming cruise I don't think we will be spending much time in the suite, it is certainly inviting.
We agree but you might find it too nice a place to NOT spend time in. Try room service. It's really good. :)
@@visitwithus Normally I would agree with you, but this cruise is so port intensive, it's pretty much going to be somewhere to sleep and shower.
@@lvthud well if it's just sleep and shower, the shower is powerful and spacious and the bed is ultra comfy. It's a win-win! (oh by the way, you get a mention in the new Chat With Us - keep an eye - out next Wednesday). :D
Windstar is my favorite. We had one of these cabins in May
Very nice
Sure is 👍
Thanks for watching.
I did not like the internal curtain, before the renovation it was opaque and now you can see through it. You could close half of the suite and change clothes while your partner was in the other half, but not now.
If you tell your steward your fav drinks, they will keep that particular beverage stocked. We were upgraded to the classic suite which had a full balcony but an obstructed view from the lounge.
Thanks for watching and your informative comment - would love to see inside a suite 😊
Having travelled in this vessel in it’s Seabourn days I much prefer the lounge area next to the small balcony. Rather ugly bucket chairs. But I am sure its still a lovely experience. Thanks for the video.
Thanks Richard. Well, more than half still have the lounge area by the balcony so there's a choice. :)
Yes, we prefer the sitting area next to the open doors of the French (or Romeo/Juliet if you’re Italian) balcony!
Agreed. I too prefer lounge area next to balcony. Lovely looking suite, nevertheless.
This makes you appreciate a proper balcony. The room was very nice, especially having the bed close to the balcony. Great video and the bonus of having your charming wife included.
We'd agree the balcony is not ideal but you can still stand on it and gaze at the view. :) Helen is 'charming'? Depends if I've cheesed her off or not... 😂
The inner corridor and door at the front is designed so you can combine the two cabins into one. Ideal for families.
Correct Henry. It's a great feature and we wish more ships had this.
@@visitwithus It certainly is!! By the way, I love your voice Rich!! You could be a BBC Continuity Announcer!! Look out Phillip Schofield!!!
@@H.R.B. 😂 Thanks. We hope you’ve subscribed because you don’t want to hear me cry. 😆

@@H.R.B. Thank you so much! We have a very exciting year coming up too so thanks for joining us. 🙌😀
Good review. That French balcony…Like being on a river cruise…except you can step out. It’s like an overweight French Balcony… The safe’s location did not look too practical. I would probably have to kneel to set up the combination. Hope the bed was comfortable.
Nice to be docked at the WTC!
Always the best spot in Barcelona 👍 Thanks for watching 😊
Ooh I love a good mini bar. And that’s a great minibar. Extra points for double sinks and great brand of toiletries. I’m with Helen on towel sizes btw. The cabin looks very elegant and calming.. I do like that balcony. Ok not one to eat breakfast on but I do like it.
Yes, it would be difficult to eat breakfast on that balcony. Perhaps holding a croissant? 😆
Never quite certain whether we prefer the bed next to French windows or the sitting area. Decisions! Thank you 🙏. OTBC!
Book two trips and have one of each! 😆 OTBC!
It is as lovely as when it was Seabourn Legend. I would cruise on her again. Thanks for the excellent video, as always.
Thanks Micheal. Really appreciate your kind words. ☺️
Ooh la la…really like that inner corridor. Lovely suite..love the bed by the balcony. Thx for the tour
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching. :)
Hi Richard how does the bed compare with Princess?
Hi Ken. The bed is lovely so I'd say about the same. I'd say Princess have the edge on pillows though. There's nothing quite like a Princess pillow! 😆
The new suite cabin looks very nice, the French balcony is a bit of a surprise being so small, but, I know it's an old ship and that a larger balcony would not have worked. Thanks much for sharing.
Thanks Lou. When you look at pictures of when she was the Seabourn Legend, they've done really well with the balconies. :)
Love a curtain across from The bed. Great for none sleepers.
We agree! It divides the suite beautifully. :)
A most inviting stateroom. Where are you headed?
We went from Barcelona to Lisbon via the Canary Islands Ken. Voyage Review coming soon. :)
WOW! Do they have any singles cabins?
I don't think there are any single cabins Catherine, but you should check out the single supplement - it may be reasonable. :)
Weird balcony but better than nothing
Well, when the ship was first built there were no balconies, so the windows were extended to full length and a small mini balcony was installed. Like you say, MUCH better than nothing. :)
Nice video! Very informative.
Glad it was helpful! Thank you! :D
Thanks for another fantastic video 😀 What a stunning suite that is 😍 An unusual balcony, but a rather charming one! The bathroom looks brilliant as well
For the money their cruise cost I would want a balcony a real balcony.
Thank you M&J. It was a lovely place to stay and the balcony? Well, it worked! :D
Well that's the choice you make Doug and many others would agree with you. :) There's not a lot Windstar can do about the configurations on these ships though. They actually started life with no balconies at all!
@@visitwithus it's nice to have something different on offer - there are plenty of ships with normal balconies available, and this is a fun change 😀
What a beautiful suite
We thought so Andrea. Thanks for watching. :)
