For how much overpay some patterns can command (Blue Gems are famous for this), its actually absurd how sparsely catalogued pattern indexes are. Sometimes I feel like tierlists only exist for Blue Gems and stuff like Crimson Kimonos. The other side to this is that if you are the first to properly view, index and rank patterns into a tierlist, you can (loosely) "set" market prices if interest surges in those patterns as a result. Diamond gems are a new thing that came with CS2 (only the Cyanbits were in CSGO) and look incredible, IMO much better than Blue Gems, so by creating the first tierlist your work could have some real impact on the future of the skins market. You can't peg the skins to a particular price point, but you can essentially justify overpay for some patterns over others, and in a clear hierarchy. That's bound to have some effect.
Daang, you looked through all the flip knife tiers?? How long did it take you to do that? I'd love to see something like this for gut knife for the more lower price combos but nice stuff man

These might be the best finishes for knifes, especially the karambit, but I'm kinda scared of getting one as Valve could decide to "fix" them. They look nothing like they did in CS:GO. Better than sapphires and blue gem case hardened.

I’m pretty sure both gamma and regular doppler finishes follow the same pattern index as the marble fade finish with a max fire and ice (will work for bayo, karambit, gutknife flip knife) showing max of a specific colour in the Doppler finish. For example the marble fade gut knife fire and ice (mostly red) becomes the mostly pale green of Doppler phase 3 (not gamma, just regular). So in theory you can find diamond gems and pink galaxies for the og fire and ice knifes by finding their max fire and ice patterns. I’ve been wanting a Talon Gamma Doppler for a while but since they don’t exist yet, the closest thing is looking at the Doppler phase 3 with the same pattern index as the (not truly) max fire and ice marble fade pattern. This could be an interesting concept to look into as opposed to going through all 1000 patterns, I know the talon is the only horizon knife that can display the fake fire and ice and subsequent fake gamma Doppler effect, but still cool imo
Karambit diamond gems wayyyy better... all tier 2 karambit blue gems have way more blue than tier 1 flip knive diamond gems... way too much green on flip knives. Great content btw!
If you made a computer program to analyze pictures of skins at different angles, you can automate the process of identifying whether a skins belongs in tier 1, 2 or 3. Perhaps look into this so that future videos are easier to make

@@YannickHollanda that image changes due to multiple factors, map, lighting, light brightness, so I would need 8000 images for that, I'd rather do it manually.
@@TheSlaid Some 3rd party platforms already have pattern identification. Dmarket, for example, shows the pattern variation of a skin. Simply load your inventory onto the site and let it do the identification for you. This would only work if you have the skin in your inventory though. If you don't have the skin in your inventory, I don't really have a solution. However, I'm sure there are much more effective methods than manually checking skins. It might be difficult to establish such method initially, but once up and running, the pay off will be immeasurable
