mariojrz44 Of course! The best advice I can give is to make sure to get involved early. Take advantage of all the organizations Tech offers and be in one of them, this will help with making a lot of friends. A mattress pad is essential as you could see I had a giant one! All of Tech's sporting events are free to students which is so nice and should be taken advantage of. Communication with a roommate is key. Study for a test a week in advance! These were definitely my main pieces of advice that come to mind, I hope these helped some! If you have any questions feel free to send me an email! megantreger@yahoo.com
Don't stress too much! I was worried about them too before I got there, but you will get used to sharing a bathroom with other people and out of all the time I was living there I only had to wait for a shower to open up once. Everyone is on totally different schedules so it's never too crowded. I had brought a plastic stool that folded up which was really nice for showers for shaving my legs or just even sitting down on, not sure if that's something you would be interested in but just thought I would suggest it!
Vanessa Whitley I'm not sure where I'm living yet. I've never been in Gordon, but I do know that each dorm at Tech has an attached dining hall which is super helpful. Gordon has the moveable furniture so it will look different from my room, but you won't have to use a communal bathroom so that's a plus! I'm sorry I don't know much more about it, but if you have any questions about Tech always feel free to send me an email megantreger@yahoo.com also congrats on your acceptance!!
I don't know you're planning to continue living at dorm but if I were you I will move to places like University pointe (where I live) or center at Overton cuz you 'll have more freedom and it's more fun, just a suggestion
