I'm a younger guy, but I remember watching The Price is Right when I was a kid with Bob Barker as the host, and he MADE this show. Lord I miss him as host. Such a charming and great host.
Drew is great and still is doing great and is the perfect person to get that baton handed to. He's so wholesome and nice and personable and I hope that he does it for as long as he can.
Drew Carey was the most random choice they could've made for a replacement to host the show, but it somehow ended up working like a charm. Everyone knows Bob is untouchable, but Drew has definitely done his own thing and the fans definitely don't mind it. I'm far from an avid watcher since I'm not a kid home sick from school anymore haha, but when I do catch it, Drew is solid. Not everyone can be the GOAT. Doesn't mean you're not still great in your own right.

I was 12 years old when this aired and I remember my friends and I being in utter awe at that truck. They just don't make them like that anymore. And this showcase was spectacular either the truck crashing into the living room.

Good god, this brings back unpleasant childhood memories of when I was a toddler/preschooler; when I was under the weather (which was a lot, because I was a sickly kid who grew up into a sickly adult!) Kinda reminds me of the tv we had at the time. 19” tv, just no remote. I remember it costing about $500 back in 1984. You can buy a 60” for that now. It’s amazing that tvs are so cheap now compared to then.
19" was huge... but sadly... no Stereo. Stereo TVs didn't become mainstream till the 2nd half of the 80s and if it was a Stereo TV in the 80s, they made sure everyone knew it!
