It's a subtle difference but I like the original better. I've had a non-working one for years and just got it repaired. Dated it and it's 1983. I was shocked to see the prices they are going for now $250-300! Thanks for the video.

The TS9 is the best pedal i have yet found for my rig and sound preferences( les paul /PAF/6505 crunch channel/hard rock)

the stock 82 sounds the best out of the two. more natural sounding. but that's splitting hairs too.

I had a close look at my Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer. I never used it, bought it around '94. It's still in the original box (no barcode on box - MB-TS1401, KU)
It looks like a Reissue probably between '90-'94
208447 silver label (no CE on label)
    TA75558P chip
    resistors coated brown
    "MAXON" on battery cover
2mm steel cover (pedal on the heavier side)

Analogman and Keeley both took some eq off the High End .I need to go back to the Original

The Analogman has slightly more “purr” at low gain.

They both sound great. Analogman is rounder, are you using both of them?

@@Hendrixlvr what boost/OD are you using now?

    • @Hendrixlvr
      @Hendrixlvr  5 лет назад +1

I have a Boss Katana, so now I just use the built in boost, (OD-1 version) and the volume on my guitar to go from clean to crunch to lead. Sometimes, depending on the gig, I’ll throw in the Analogman for a bit of a boost but most of the time it’s just amp and guitar 🤓👍

of course it's rounder, the mod turns a ts9 into a ts808, the ts808 is less harsh than the tube screamer, to the point you can actually turn the tone knob higher up on a metal amp without making the riffs sound awful. The mod supposedly also makes the ts9 more of a transparent boost than it originally was. I think this is for the novelty of having an official analog man modded pedal.

I'm sure opamp socket in Re-J sucks the tone. Sux!

This would have been a decent video, but this Boss Katana 50 amp is bloody horrible mate Try the viseo again with a decent valve amp like a Marshall or a Friedman or a Suhr 68. You got sucker punched buying this amp.

You asked for feedback, so here ya go ... 1) interesting topic/gear comparo. 2) it's too long. My suggestion - take what you want to highlight (differences, similarities, features, whatever) and demonstrate that in an under 6 minute format. Here's an example: ruclips.net/video/QX1hXdS2-Q8/видео.html. If link fails, search "boss katana vs fender blues junior". Great topics - keep em coming.
