Good lord have mercy Dave was sending that old 'Burb. I had a 2003 2 wheel drive and i put a camburg long travel on the front. The thing actually boogied pretty good.
I personally have had both I prefer the tailgate style you got a whole truck bed and I had no issues pulling it up when going to bed and no proping doors open cause of wind was nice and the glass opens so you can set stuff in without swinging the doors open to each their own I guess 🤷
There's no way in HELL that OBS Suburban was $2500. Those same trucks were going for $10-12K during the car shortage in the middle of Covid. The used car market exploded and the prices went wild. Either California has cars for dirt cheap or the show lied about the price.
Old stuff is cheap out there because of the emissions stuff Cali has. Plus it’s a bunch of woke folks wanting to drive a bunch of boring shit that gets 50mph. So they punt this cool old stuff for cheap.
two guys, out in the middle of nowhere...wearing sn95 bandanas and staying 6' apart. this is a good reminder of just how ridiculous things got during covid 🤦
I’ve owned both a Durango and a obs Silverado, obs is a far better truck. But for 2500 I’d go with a zj grand Cherokee (what I currently use as a desert beater).
I’ve owned both too and I can’t assure Durango’s are better. K1500 has a weak 4l60e the 12 bolt is weaker then a dodge at 250k this truck is on its 2nd motor and this one is knocking too. Being in the rust belt the truck needs all new break lines and my Durango just can’t hold a A/C charge. I’ve owned the Durango for 12 years as well you can tow this Chevy out my driveway 😂
@@Pits750 Oh I agree. I wasn’t grown here. I see what you mean first hand daily. It’s horrifying. 95-The Turnpike on the east coast is rough. Pretending you are driving a 120mph tank is the best attitude to have. Defensive and offensive at the same time gets you home safe…
Well, consider the death rate percentage per population. California was 3rd for some reason. Fl was in the low 40s. All of my family caught it, I haven't. I live in Cali, they live in Texas.
@@thadude9013 Didn’t say the virus was a joke, just saying the way it was portrayed by the government was completely a farce. How the hell is a bandana going to stop a virus?
@@thadude9013 Hospitals got 10k for every death they could classify as a "covid death". As you can imagine, an enormous amount of fuckery ensued. I think in a few years when we actually go back and look at the real records (if they haven't been scrubbed) we'll find out just how badly we got played. But, maybe you trust the government to restrict itself.....in which case, good luck with that
Weak economy when they just finished building the engine meant they had to limit the fuel/air intake for the cars from that era. Thats why all the US cars from that era have big engines but small power.
Roadkill is an awesome show!!

General mayhem is probably the best episode they ever did

yeah it was nuts. i lost 2 family members from that because they refused to wear anything, let alone a bandana
Thank you.
You can hardly find a 90s Suburban anymore. At least not in Pennsylvania where I live. Not for $2500 if you do find one.
If that's bourbon was in my area would probably go for 5,000
now it will, this is basically pre pandemic

No. Market is normalising.
@@AB-80Xif you’re in the rust belt and it was somewhat sorted, it would be worth way more than $5k
Man i love those burbs.
My 79 gmc pathfinder van begs to differ
those were great old rigs. my grampa had a HD chevy van from that era, it was a tank

Can’t believe they wouldn’t even go near each other. Here in south FL EVERYTHING was wide open. That’s that cali weird I just don’t understand.
Prolly cuz they kept them and drove them 🤣💀
I've been to Florida, y'all can't drive, all magnets to each other

This episode was shot during Covid so the Covid guidelines made them “mask up” to protect from Covid 19 not knowing that it definitely seems weird
My stock 99 Land Cruiser would dust both
those old yotas were tough as bricks
It might be reliable but it’s slower then both of them 😂
even my 6.5 is faster
Bandanas- lol. What a joke that whole thing was.
Millions of people died cause of the ‘joke’

Not a joke, a complete and total scam.

Suburbans are just to big to do wheeling
How did GM manage such little horsepower from that V8?

They're both garbage compared to a Jeep in every way except speed. 4-wheeling isn't about speed.
This is a joke, right you want money for this it’s a joke. It’s so bad you can’t even watch this garbage.
Good thing you don't have to huh, but thanks for letting everyone know your opinion, I'm sure everyone will take it to the bank
