As a professional trainer I see it already. Dogs too attached to their owners who have separation anxiety and aggression. Socialization does not need to be people touching the dog or even playing with other dogs. Exposing a dog to new situations everyday and lits of excersise.

It is very similar to cats and kittens who are bonding more strongly with their owners. At least , my cats and kittens are showing signs of separation anxiety during this time when our son and I have to leave our house as well. They are use to being with my son and I for 24/7 now days. It is only normal life for them with my hubby who has not stopped working outside our house with his job.
Papillons are amazing dogs but they are so smart they need to work. My papillon does obedience, tracking, parkour and agility and we're always working on new skills - he gets bored easily and a bored papillon will get into all kinds of trouble! Too many people think they are just tiny dogs so they don't need much training or stimulation. But they are an extremely intelligent and active breed that absolutely loves learning and working. My River is far smarter than my previous Labrador was! He actually reminds me of a little border collie. Definitely not couch potatoes.
@@TaylorBrown-jh5ul I had to actively teach River to settle and be calm. He still isn't that good at it but at least he's got three gears now - asleep, pedal to the metal, and high speed but concentrating on me. :)
I'm a Papillon breeder and these are amazing dogs! btw I'm not the kind of breeder that sells the dogs to who ever has the money. Me and my family take a lot of time picking the perfect home for each of our puppies! And we stay in touch with the people we sell them to, and get pictures about once a month!
I am exactly same way. Though , I have equal happy reaction for Cat from Hell , Bondi Vet and Vet on the Hill. I love animals no matter if dogs , cats , farm animals to wild animals. Plus , each shows have amazing caring people who loves animals.
I have to say I really find it admirable that while Gail forgot some of Victoria’s steps to socializing Sunny, as Victoria said she tried to take control of the situation using some of their other practiced techniques. I’d imagine it’s a little difficult to remember all the tips tricks and advice, but it’s really nice to see genuine effort from the whole family
if anyone is reading this and thinking of getting a puppy: i recommend taking them everywhere, meeting other dogs, meeting people, like my mom took my doberman to pick up my little brother. the kids want to pet her and she loves all the attention. that puppy is turning 9 years soon and she is the perfect dog. soo friendly and soo smart. she still loves meeting people

My dog since vacation started has been whining above cliffs to jump in the water, and started humping on me he's 11, neutered, just not use to trips so gets anxious. I do too on trips, but after few days I'm settled and fine. But Riley is just not used to adventures. Plus your learning too.

That said, a production team goes and performs video interviews (the intro videos you see) to give Victoria a heads up and decide which ones she would like to take on (vetting the dangerous ones out) and set up protocols for difficult cases. During that time, it is easy for the crew to pass by neighbours and friends to get their take for the interview and ask if they would be willing to help in exchange of a wage. They would all need to sign release forms if they do help, so this method would be the most beneficial in the long run.

I love these vids! I watched the show when it was airing new and it's how I learned to train my current dog. She's also part papillon, but was just diagnosed with a terminal condition so I'm pretty down. Now she gets away with everything because don't have much time left. Before though, while she was a little yappy, she loves every person. All humans are her favorite thing.
I’m surprised. Papillons’ have the sweetest disposition. They are a breed with high intelligence. Mine loved to meet new people and never snapped at anyone and she was a rescue dog.
Little dogs in my opinion are very overly pampered and indulgend too much; as Amber explains below they are treated more like kids than dogs which is wrong and causes intense aggression. It is not a little dogs fault if they misbehave, it is often times the upbringing. Since they are babied on too much, little dogs often are more difficult to train and one has to be very patient and willing to go through various errors to train them, but it can be done! Victoria’s persistence never fails to impress me and even the most terrible situations she can bring to light! :) 👍🏻🐕
Exactly it is the owners my 4 have never been aggressive but i train them and also let them play and be dogs i think it messes w them to always be carried around an not be able to act like a normal dog

I used to watch this years ago, when it was on TV. Around that time, I met someone and their badly behaved dog in a park and, despite me usually being afraid, I used the calm, firm, deeper voice and got the dog to come back to us and sit, when the owner couldn't (he sounded like he was pleading with his dog!) That naughty hound was bothering a couple having a picnic, but I clicked my fingers, gave her a command, and was amazed that it worked, so was her owner. I'm scared of dogs, so if I could do that, anyone can!

We have that same problem when our guest stands up and goes down hill. Our dog Rex is a horrible barker. He gives me a headache at time. Going try this to help. Our dog Blue is just follower
I cannot tolerate small dogs that bite because they aren't properly trained. Cesar Milan put it well. Small dogs get away with biting because they are not considered dangerous. Owners tend to train larger dogs not to bite.
PRIVATE small dogs can also inflict a lot of damage too though. Because they are not trained, theyre more like firecrackers with their aggression than large dogs, who people are usually more wary of. While a large dog would have a higher chance of inflicting death to an adult human, a small dog could do the same to a child. Its a shame many people cant see that though
I dont know if it was because i had big dogs before my small ones i always have trained the small ones i have an i have never had any aggression issues w my small ones but i know ppl that think they can just get a small dog an dont think they need to train them then want to ask why mine behave better an non aggressively 🤦♀️
My old pap got some traits like this dog, hates children, anti-social (doesn't like fellow dog mates), doesn't like to be cuddled and pats, has a mind of its own.
My family's getting a dog. I'm so glad my mom isn't like this. She sais she'll give the dog a good home food and life but in no ways attention and pets rubs ect, that's OUR job. I do wish sometimes she would love dogs like we do, but then I watch this.. and her perspective is way better. ..

Here's how I feel about my 2 kids & 2 dogs: I'm a mother to my 2 kids (Ashlynn & Zachary) & 2 fur babies (Chelsea & Gracie). I LOVE all 4 of them & think of all 4 of them as my kids. My 2 kids ALWAYS come before my 2 fur babies!!! My dogs eat actual dog food & dog treats. All 4 of my babies are LOVED, TAKEN CARE OF, & EXTREMELY SPOILED!!!
Pirategloom prob jealous. You can train your dog that he doesn’t have to be jealous when you’re petting another dog. There’s a vid of this in the channel. I think it’s with a couple with 6 pugs

I live in the same problem, my grandmas spoiled dogs are agressive towards everyone when they don't get what they want. It's been a month I've been training them and I got bit badly many times I don't care tho, they'r behavior is 30% better now before month ago.

I’m always surprised when I see people with dogs that bite. Or are snappy. I noticed by dog stiffening up and her hackles flaring all of a sudden with her food or a big treat and I immediately said heck no and have done all sorts of research and have started the work to work it out of her.
I've just discovered her channel. I absolutely love her training. I'm in the process of her online training course. When my 7 month old wakes up that is...lol I've started with 3 commands slowly. Stay sit and dukes.(shake a paw) he's doing quite well. But I need to get better treats. I would love to know what treats she uses. I'm thinking dried liver treats because my dogs love those.

Typical small dog syndrome. People bond to the dog and treat them like children, which only screws up the dogs more, because they know they are not children. It makes the dogs neurotic. Why you see such crazed small dogs, people don't tak the time to train them. They just baby them.
Wow. I have a dog jack Russell Corgi mix and if she sees another dog or pet she barks at them when i walk her or in the yard of anyone walks by the yard have a dog with the person walking! I am been dog training what i know how and doing my best but am special needs adult has seizures, aneixty attacks sometimes,depression disorder and developmentally disabled but she is my Emotional Support dog and try to be a service dog to me for for health reasons! What i should do? Thank you

Mine also loves new people too.His problem is he thinks they've come by to throw his ball for him and he gets to be a pest.We hide his ball a lot.

feuriger Stern ...Caesar Milan is just awful I think....he trains by bullying whereas Victoria trains by reward...much better.

I think they did really well with the dogs but it always worries me when I see owners moving too fast with the training.
Today I just saw a Papillion But it wasn’t spoiled it was well trained and too overprotective oh my gosh why does this happen regularly
Papillions are a very protective breed in general. It's something you need to be prepared to train out of them early on.

Absolutely happy to see this, as I have papillons.
I’m always surprised when I see people with dogs that bite. Or are snappy. I noticed by dog stiffening up and her hackles flaring all of a sudden with her food or a big treat and I immediately said heck no and have done all sorts of research and have started the work to work it out of her.

I've just discovered her channel. I absolutely love her training. I'm in the process of her online training course. When my 7 month old wakes up that is...lol I've started with 3 commands slowly. Stay sit and dukes.(shake a paw) he's doing quite well. But I need to get better treats. I would love to know what treats she uses. I'm thinking dried liver treats because my dogs love those.

Boiled chicken, it's what Victoria uses 90% of the time
She normaly uses chicken, but without any salt and seasonings, cus most seasonings are harmfull to our pets.

Typical small dog syndrome. People bond to the dog and treat them like children, which only screws up the dogs more, because they know they are not children. It makes the dogs neurotic. Why you see such crazed small dogs, people don't tak the time to train them. They just baby them.

Wow. I have a dog jack Russell Corgi mix and if she sees another dog or pet she barks at them when i walk her or in the yard of anyone walks by the yard have a dog with the person walking! I am been dog training what i know how and doing my best but am special needs adult has seizures, aneixty attacks sometimes,depression disorder and developmentally disabled but she is my Emotional Support dog and try to be a service dog to me for for health reasons!
