So much wisdom, my friend. It”s easy to tell that you are living your best life! A meditation practice is key to listening to our soul”s wisdom and not the mental chatter of the intellect and ego. For sure. ✌🏼
A timely reminder especially regarding women. Because they can be so flakey it’s easy to fall into the trap of dating multiple women so that you always have an option when one flakes on you. All this does is bring a world of complication and stress.
i've dated some flaky filipinas (and american women).. and once i see that, i'm done. i walk. flakiness will only complicate my life as this woman can't be counted on to show up on time, stick to a plan, or much of anything else with consistency.
My ex girlfriend remarked she had a storage unit she was paying $60 a month for. I asked what was in it. She said miscellaneous items, old furniture and some camping gear. I asked her what it was worth if she sold it at a garage sale? She said about 3 to 5 hundred dollars. I then asked her how long she's had the storage unit? She said about 5 years. I asked her if she's considered selling and/or donating this stuff, that I would help her do it, because she's paid $3,600 and counting to store it. She started cryng and said, "I don't want to talk about it anymore." Sigh...
I have been living my life according to the KISS (Keep It Simple Saint) method for many years and highly recommend it. As Always, May God Bless you and yours! 😇
All good points. Kiss is a great way to go. Your suggestions also take critical thinking. Which we both know some folks lack. Haven’t tried the morning moments of clarity the way you describe exactly. At this time I will get an answer to a problem or an idea, I haven’t laid there and worked on it for a period of time as I have get up and pee 😂
I fully endorse your philosophy. I also bought a new coffee machine recently but made sure to sell my existing one on Facebook marketplace. Generally speaking, if I haven’t used something in the last twelve months, I sell it or donate it to a charity.
annually, i go through my clothes and same thing.. if i'm not wearing something with regularity, i give it away, donate it, whatever. except for my two leather jackets, which i keep in california for winters there. :)
Simplicity , yup, that's the key. Some of the best advice ever. As for tracking money, I have found Quicken works well as long as I keep up with it. I can see where I'm overspending, and if I am spending more than's coming in. The toughest part is dealing with cash expenditures and entering them in a timely fashion before I forget. Where you use a lot of cash on a daily basis that notebook you mentioned could be handy. Otherwise, Quicken keeps me on track.
It amazes me how many folks will complain about not having enough money, but simultaneously refuse to sit down and write down what they're spending each month to see where the money's going.
a buddy of mine, in calif, sat down one day and figured that every morning on the way to work... and after work, both he and his wife went through the Starbucks drive-thru. each was spending at least $6 per visit. that's $24 per day. $720 a month just on Starbucks.
@@Lifebeyondthesea LOL...yep. This first thing money management advisors say is you'll save a sh*t-ton of money buying all your food and drinks at the grocery store (stop eating out and make your own coffee). Had a Buddy at work that bought starbucks drive thru every morning. He said he wasn't really that big of a coffee drinker, but he had a crush on the window server cause she was cute and had a great rack...smiles!

Many a time I have awaken with a solution to a problem I did not even know I was thinking about.
Anyone looking at my waistline could tell you, more is not always better. I keep trying to be a gut minimalist...

Yellow legal pad budgeting. Can't beat a classic.
That, and daily post-it notes for daily schedules...smiles!
One of the most important rules in corporate life: KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid/Sibling/Sister/etc)

it's frustrating when a person won't look at the facts, and keep on with a bad decision.

We're about the same age, and I agree wholeheartedly.

I actually totally agree with you about simplicity .
I'll try the "window of clarity" in the mornings. Thank you so much for the suggestion and for the videos. I've learned a lot from them.
Very good advice. I have been working on simplicity and a stoic type mentality
