A bit of topic. Vietnam's early history is dominated by China, which tended to regard its southern neighbour as a province - albeit a somewhat unruly one. In 111 BC the Han Dynasty formally annexed what was then called Nam Viet - and the country remained part of China for a thousand years. Vietnam absorbed Confucian traditions but never lost its separate identity and in 939 the rebel Ngo Quyen lured the Chinese fleet onto spikes concealed under the high tide and set up an independent state. The independent Vietnam was ruled, like China, by a series of imperial dynasties. The greatest of these was the Le (1427-1789), established when Le Loi - who still has a street named after him in every city - expelled the latest set of Chinese oppressors. The Le dynasty expanded south to take over the Champa kingdom, inhabited by people of Malay origin, and establish the boundaries of modern Vietnam. French colonialism The first French were missionaries who dabbled in politics. The Vietnamese emperor s execution of the more troublesome of these prompted Napoleon Ill to send troops. They attacked in 1858 and eventually established the colony of Cochinchina in the south of Vietnam, with Saigon as capital. The French gradually eroded the power of the emperors further north, while keeping them as puppet figureheads. In 1887 French Indochina was formed from the colony of Cochinchina and the protectorates of Annam (central Vietnam), Tonkin (northern Vietnam), Cambodia and Laos. The French justified their rule of Indochina by the idea that they were bringing into light and liberty the races and peoples still enslaved by ignorance and despotism'. In reality Vietnam was treated as a huge plantation fuelling French industrialization. Many thousands of Vietnamese died labouring in appalling conditions on rubber plantations; rice was exported despite the starving local people. There were periodic revolts - but the resistance was notorganized enough to succeed against a ruthless French security system. Vietnamese nationalism awaited a rallying force. Ho Chi Minh Born Nguyen Sinh Cung in 1890, Ho left Vietnam at the age of 21 as a galley boy on a French freighter. After three years at sea he worked in New York and London, beginning a lifetime habit of changing his name to mark each new phase. In London he was Nguyen Tat Thanh but in Paris, where he spent six years, he marked a new political commitment by calling himself Nguyen Ai Quoc ('Nguyen the Patriot'). He joined the Communist Party and travelled to Moscow in 1924, where he was known as Comrade Linh. In Canton for the next three years he was Ly Thuy, a mobilizer of Vietnamese students. In 1928 he was with Vietnamese dissidents in Thailand, wearing the shaven head and saffron robes of a Buddhist monk and the name Thau Chin. In 1929 he assembled rival factions in Hong Kong and launched the Indochinese Communist Party. He was arrested and imprisoned but escaped by persuading a prison guard to report him dead. He spent the 1930s drifting between China and the Soviet Union, awaiting the right moment. The Second World War provided it. The Vietminh In 1940 Japan occupied Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh founded the Vietminh (the League for the Independence of Vietnam) as a broad-based nationalist movement to fight the Japanese - and he returned home for the first time in 30 years to organize resistance from a cave in the northern hills. Japan surrendered in August 1945 and Allied leaders agreed that Britain would occupy the south of Vietnam and China the north. But the Vietminh marched down from the hills to liberate Hanoi before the Chinese arrived. On 2 September 1945 the Democratic Republic of Vietnam was proclaimed, with Ho as President. His inaugural speech quoted from the US Declaration of Independence and reflected his hopes of US support. But even Moscow failed to recognize the new republic. The British ruthlessly suppressed the Vietminh in the south and helped the French to re-establish their old colonial system. The French return forced the Vietminh back into the hills and a long war ensued. Ho's guerillas were backed after 1949 by newly Communist China while the French war effort was paid for by a US now agonizing about Communist expansion. Frustrated that guerilla warfare never allowed them to use their superior firepower, the French decided in 1954 to lure the Vietminh into a battle_at Dien Bien Phu, a valley near the Laotian border. But the Vietminh mobilized an army twice as big as expected and hauled heavy artillery to the top of steep hills surrounding the valley, something the French had considered impossible. After 55 days of intense bombardment Vietminh troops over-ran Dien Bien Phu and the French colonial period was over. During the First Indochina War. In the early 1950s, the Vietnamese Communists confronted formidable enemies and Ho Chi Minh avidly sought advice and weapons from China. The PRC began to send their advisors and later form the Chinese Military Advisory Group (CMAG) to assist the Viet Minh forces led by Wei Guoqing and Chen Geng. CMAG and Viet Minh began training for their first campaign. In September 1950, the Border Campaigns were launched. And between April and September 1950, China sent to the Viet Minh 14,000 rifles and pistols, 1,700 machine guns and recoilless rifles, 150 mortars, 60 artillery pieces and 300 bazookas, as well as ammunition, medicine, communications materials, clothes and 2,800 tons of food. In addition, a “political advisory group” was also sent from China to northern Vietnam in 1950, led by Luo Guibo. Luo went to Tonkin to “pass on China’s experience in financial and economic work, the rectification of cadres’ ideology and working style, government work and mobilization of the masses.” Between 1951 to 1954, the Chinese helped the Vietnamese in training their military commanders; reorganizing their defense and financial systems. They also helped the Vietnamese to mobilize the peasants to support the war through land reform campaigns. Overall, there was a massive transfer of the Chinese experience of making a revolution to the Vietnamese. After the Geneva Conference In the years following the conclusion of the 1954 Geneva Conference, China desired a peaceful international environment in order to focus on domestic reconstruction while Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) faced two fundamental tasks: to reconstruct the north and to unify the south. To rebuild the north, the CPV immediately got assistance from China after the Geneva Conference. To help the DRV “relieve famine, rebuild the transportation systems, revive agriculture, reconstruct the urban economy, and improve the armed forces,” Beijing agreed to provide rice, sent a team of economic advisers and experts to North Vietnam. In December 1954, China sent more than 2000 railroad workers to the DRV to repair railway lines, roads, and bridges. During Ho Chi Minh’s official visit to China in 1955, Beijing agreed to provide a grant of $200 million to be used to build various projects. After that, they also established a manpower exchange program. Between 1955 and 1957, in addition to assistance from China, the Soviet Union also played an important role in helping DRV reconstruct and develop its economy. When the 15th Plenum of the VWP Central Committee in 1959 authorized the use of armed struggle in the south, Hanoi kept asking Beijing for military aid. Under these circumstances and in response to Hanoi's requests, China offered substantial military aid to Vietnam before 1963. According to Chinese sources, “during the 1956-63 period, China military aid to Vietnam totaled 320 million yuan. China's arms shipments to Vietnam included 270,000 guns, over 10,000 pieces of artillery, 200 million bullets of different types, 2.02 million artillery shells, 15,00 wire transmitters, 5,000 radio transmitters, over 1,000 trucks, 15 planes 28 naval vessels, and 1.18 million sets of military uniforms." It was China’s aid to North Vietnam from 1955 to 1963 that effectively gave the North the resources needed to begin the insurgency in the South. Confronting U.S. escalation The catalyst for the Vietnam War would be the controversial Gulf of Tonkin incident in August 1964. “To confront the increasing U.S. pressure in Indochina, Beijing stepped up its coordination with the Vietnamese and Laotian parties.” To counter these U.S. overwhelming airstrikes, Ho requested Chinese Anti-Aircraft Artillery (AAA) units in a meeting with Mao in May 1965. In response, People’s Liberation Army (PLA) forces began flowing into North Vietnam in July 1965 to help defend Hanoi and its major transportation systems. The total number of Chinese troops in North Vietnam between June 1965 and March 1968 amounted to over 320,000. “The peak year was 1967 when 170,000 Chinese soldiers were present.” In the same year the PLA and People's Army of Vietnam (PAVN) & Viet Cong (VC) made an agreement under which the PLA provided the PAVN/VC with 5,670 sets of uniforms, 5,670 pairs of shoes, 567 tons of rice, 20.7 tons of salt, 55.2 tons of meat, 20.7 tons of fish, 20.7 tons of sesame and peanuts, 20.7 tons of beans, 20.7 tons of lard, 6.9 tons of soy sauce, 20,7 tons of white sugar, 8,000 toothbrushes, 11,100 tubes of toothpaste, 35,300 bars of soap, and 109,000 cases of cigarettes. In total, the agreement included 687 different items, covering such goods as table tennis balls, volleyballs, harmonicas, playing cards, pins, fountain pen ink, sewing needle, and vegetable seeds. Such allowed Hanoi to use its own manpower for participating in battles in the South and maintaining the transport and communication lines between the North and the South and played a role in deterring further American expansion of the war into the North. History of the world: Japanese and Mongolian defeated China almost in every battlefield .
Many thousands of Vietnamese died labouring in appalling conditions on rubber plantations; rice was exported despite the starving local people. There were periodic revolts - but the resistance was notorganized enough to succeed against a ruthless French security system. Vietnamese nationalism awaited a rallying force.
Ho Chi Minh
Born Nguyen Sinh Cung in 1890, Ho left Vietnam at the age of 21 as a galley boy on a French freighter. In 1940 Japan occupied Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh founded the Vietminh (the League for the Independence of Vietnam) as a broad-based nationalist movement to fight the Japanese - and he returned home for the first time in 30 years to organize resistance from a cave in the northern hills.

The French return forced the Vietminh back into the hills and a long war ensued. Ho's guerillas were backed after 1949 by newly Communist China while the French war effort was paid for by a US now agonizing about Communist expansion.

Luo went to Tonkin to “pass on China’s experience in financial and economic work, the rectification of cadres’ ideology and working style, government work and mobilization of the masses.”

They also helped the Vietnamese to mobilize the peasants to support the war through land reform campaigns. Overall, there was a massive transfer of the Chinese experience of making a revolution to the Vietnamese.
After the Geneva Conference
In the years following the conclusion of the 1954 Geneva Conference, China desired a peaceful international environment in order to focus on domestic reconstruction while Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) faced two fundamental tasks: to reconstruct the north and to unify the south.
Confronting U.S. escalation
The catalyst for the Vietnam War would be the controversial Gulf of Tonkin incident in August 1964. “To confront the increasing U.S. pressure in Indochina, Beijing stepped up its coordination with the Vietnamese and Laotian parties.”
To counter these U.S. overwhelming airstrikes, Ho requested Chinese Anti-Aircraft Artillery (AAA) units in a meeting with Mao in May 1965.
Such allowed Hanoi to use its own manpower for participating in battles in the South and maintaining the transport and communication lines between the North and the South and played a role in deterring further American expansion of the war into the North.

how cruel the ancestors of these eastern peoples were.

A great movie market😅😅😅
國軍👍👍👍
Oh my goodness the authentic look on both sides from uniform to tanks and armored cars to nationalist helmets is great!
日本軍は中国戦線ではほとんどの戦いで中華民国軍を打ち負かしていました。
Yes you’re totally correct. The fact is that the Japanese and the Mongolian defeated China easily in every front. But Chinese movies show you otherwise.
おっしゃるとおりですが、共産党政府は中国を中傷する発言や映画などを一切認めていません。
