The kyogre was actually completely fair; When a timer strikes 0, it's not actually 0 yet: It's just less than 1 second, so if one second hasn't passed since the timer has hit 0 there are still a few miliseconds left before it's actually 0. Also he stopped to google colors at one point due to his color blindness, and it's like super ableist that this was even deducted from his time smh (I'm joking, but I do think it would be fair if he was allowed to stop the timer to google the colors of the mons - for both parties involved haha)

Exactly my thought, bro had two purples and his legend was outside the time, meanwhile chillin was passing on legit options due to not wanting a bad perception. I love them both but this one wasn’t the fairest standards

Yea I facepalmed when he did that. Probably the worst thing u could switch in there since it’s literally weak to both it’s typings 😂. Tbf tho it’s not like he had a switch in (I mean he didn’t know the moves he had but he didn’t have good switch in’s for water/dark types). Definitely could’ve done better tho.

I started watching you guys' videos a couple of days ago after watching a bunch of "Then we fight" videos from other creators. I have to say, since I usually have my earphones in to listen to everything while at work, so I don't always get to look at the screen; I love the way you guys do your videos! It's very engaging & descriptive & you talk about everything so it's easier to imagine the catching & the fighting than other creators! Keep up the great content guys & I've got a ton more videos to catch up on! 😁 You guys are great! 👏🤙

Lawyer weighin in for the homies: Ref said GG can catch the Kyogre so no cheat. The Musharna thing is quickggs weakness in color blindness but i don't think intentional. Chandelure is a close call. Chilln was definitely being very cautious with his picks and he was true to himself.
i wanted to know quicks thought process here.. chandelure is fire ghost... crawdaunt is dark and water.. both of which counter him and he didnt have water absorb or anything to reduce super effective hits... he lost both situations there instantly. edit: noting that having a move super effective doesnt matter if it's guaranteed you wont survive the turn

I wish y'all would pause the timer when doing recaps so you can actually take a proper look before going back out there. And also when it gets down to the last 2 minutes, there's always that rush of "oh no, no time to recap, I'll do it afterwards, let me just catch as much as I can before the time runs out!". Just seems like it would flow better to pause for the recaps. Love the vids guys, keep up the good work!

Challenge idea: Nickname challenge
1: catch 12 random encounters.
2: Nickname all of them and write down the nicknames on a sheet of paper.
3: Show your opponent the nicknames. Your opponent then chooses their favorite nicknames of the bunch.
4: You must use your opponent's favorite nicknames.

For the picking color challenge...the pokemon company has every pokemon sorted by color, in official "this is what color they are" categories, so you dont have to do the "is this blue is this red is this green" all the time

Challenge idea: you pick your (randomised) starters based on the number of their names' letter. For example, Mewtwo has 6 letters, Xatu has 4, Regigigas has 9, etc
The debate on whether it’s the correct color or not kills me. I love it. You guys need to get some spotters. Extra funny if the spotters are also color blind.

Chillin really got rewarded for his honourable decision with the amoongus the entire battle. I really got disapointed the kyogre couldnt pop off
Graphic design professional here 🤚, I'd say that the parts on chandelure that arent black are majority blue. The tips of the flames are 100% purple, but the base of the flames plus the light blue main body make it about 65% blue to 35% purple. Though you would be hard pressed to argue that there is more blue than black.
Though to be fair, a lot of art of chandelure outside of the game series is majority purple.

I would have counted the Amoonguss as red enough, it doesn't really fit in to any other color category, and the Lycanroc is indeed a very rich, deep red. Maroon is a shade of red.
The Musharna on the other hand is not even a blueish purple like Chandelure. With all the pink it's more red than blue. Your color blindness is forgiven though. Purple has a huge range is shades and can be confusing.
That Alolan Persian could have definitely been on the blue team though. It's gray, but is very blueish.

Quick lightweight cheated on this one. The timer ran out before he encountered the Kyogre.
He encountered it exactly when it turned 0 and the refs said its fine so I think its okey too
It was less than a second though. I think we can still count that as fair enough.
Could also depend on how "zero" zero is; does the timer turn to zero when it's truly zero, or does it turn to zero when it is at least .01 lower than 1 (00:00:99), leaving the time between time out (0) and 1 second remaining? If the timer turned a different color (lol) when true zero is hit that would clarify things immensely for this super serious, highly competitive, life-or-death challenge :)

Red seems like it has such a big disadvantage, having fewer choice, and fire being weak to water.
You might have done this before, but you should set up a spinner wheel with animal types + "object". That way if you get "Object" you can choose any non-animal based pokemon (like Stonejourner). This can include words like, "beetle", "mammal", "lizard", "fish", "crustacean", "bird", "dinosaur", "pet", etc.. best part is that you some can over lap, like Crustle is a hermit crab so it would fall under both crustacean AND pet (since people own hermit crabs). I think that would be fun! Obviously you can include as many words as you'd like

Consecutive Capture Challenge
(For Sw/Sh)
Rules: You each catch a dozen pokémon exclusively from random encounters (fishing, trees, etc.). Then, you form teams of six consecutively-caught pokémon. For example: you could take the pokémon from encounters 1-6, or 3-8, or 6-11, any combination as long as they were all caught one after the other. I think you could run it just as well evolved as non-evolved.
Red’s my favorite color, so I gotta cheer for Chilln on this one.

I have a challenge for you two: Do random encounters but with a twist, as even if they are babies, they will be fully evolved, but the abilities and moves are randomized, and in this twist... You have to get a total of ten Pokémon and take the best ones, and the ones you take you can only max out one base stat out of a full team. And example, is if someone got a tanky boy or girl, they would either max out the HP Stat or Defense or SP. Defense Stat, but can only do it one time on that one Stat. Another is if you get a slow mon that is not normally fast, could increase the Speed Stat, but only once to that mon and not the others.
For simple terms: Get ten Mons with random abilities and move sets, pick six of the best ones, even babies are fully evolved Mons for your team, random encounters by any means only, and for those you picked, have one stat maxed out to either HP, Defense, Speed, Attack, Sp. Attack, or Sp. Defense. This can be done in either Sword and Shield, or Scarlet and Violet Games.
Lol idk why but I was so personally offended by the "just need to be in an encounter by 00" call when GG was asking if it counts I was saying "ball has to be out" and when he came back with the judges ruling I pulled a classic quickgg WHAT!?! Lol I was so ready for the Kyogre to own the whole fight
I think the biggest determining factor is having colors as primary/secondary colors vs having color accents. That Shroom Pokémon is primarily white, with a secondary red color. Meanwhile like you pointed out Haxorus only has red accents so it wouldn’t count

Challenge ideas:
1. You can only catch a single type of all the types in the game.
If the pokemon is dual type you lose both types.
2. One pokemon from every Gen
3. One random pokemon from each route

An Idea for the next battles:
you both can catch what you want, legendarys, baby mystics, pseudo etc... BUT you have to switch 3 of your team! Everybody thinks of 3 numbers between 1-6 and chose them but dont tell the other. So at the end of the catch phase you tell your enemy the numbers you get and the other has to trade the pokemon he is getting in this run. if you outsmart your enemy he would get a baby, but if he outsmart you, than you are screwed :D

PS: I feel like a bunch of folks in this and past color-related challenge video comment sections don't really understand what color blindness means. Quick isn't CHEATING when he nabs a purple pokemon. He literally cannot tell the difference because he has a genetic condition, and in his brain it seems blue. It's a bad look to be calling him a cheater again and again and again, because it's literally a medical condition that he has no control over. Considering the timer, it's not feasible for him to stop and look up EVERY SINGLE POKEMON online and verify colorization, unless the folks constantly commenting want to grant him a handicap allowance to pause the timer every time for googling.
At the end of the day this should be fun, both for them and for us.
So lets cool it with the color accusations and just enjoy the video instead.
(the buzzer-beater legendary IS on the table though if you HAVE to grumble about something, since it seemed after the 0. ^_^ But I'm letting Quick have it for the precious seconds wasted when he DID stop to look up pokemon colors.) 😉

Video idea! Probably has to be done in Pokemon Showdown. Spin a type wheel twice to generate a poke and pick your favorite of those types. If you get fire and flying you can choose a Charizard or Talonflame or whatever matches the types you spin. If you spin two waters than you pick a water single type. If you spin something that doesn't exist than you spin the second type again. Still randomize the moves and abilities. One legand and one ultra.

New challenge, I wheel 0-9, which ever number you land on you have to catch a Pokémon within that range of the Pokédex for example 1 you catch any fully evolved 100-199 catch 8 make a team and fight it out!!
Saying purple is blue is like saying orange is red 😭I also love how quick was saying stuff like “oh that looks marune” when marune is an actual shade of red while purple is a completely separate color from blue 😂.

I have a red vs blue challenge for you, but with a twist. Take all the old exclusive Pokémon from the different versions and go to battle. Which versions have the better exclusives? You each get a list of versions exclusives to your colors and you catch the 8 first fully evolved ones you see and pick your teams.
