Does anyone know if this version was ever published? Definitely the best arrangement for traditional instrument that I've heard. I would love to perform this with my flute choir.
There weren't many layers to the music. You should have had one or two of the better players doing the melodies and then still have the other flutes for the extra bits so there isn't an awkward trying to play two parts at once. Also in the lower melodies you should have taken advantage of the bass flutes.
I've actually just set up a flute ensemble for my wind ensemble class and I'd love it if we could play this! This arrangement is amazing(: We are willing to buy the arrangement if you're up to it!
I play, have played for many years and love the flute! This is lovely but at some parts it was so flat and out of tune that it hurt. Starting at 2:23 and on, oh I'm sorry but "ouch".
4:52-4:56 wasn’t very well transcribed like for instance the last 3 notes are higher than the previous ones but this just dips at a climax very disappointing
You ladies sound great, but there were a couple of spots where you were off. If you listen to it and sing the words in your head you'll hear it. Also @ 4:14 you completely lost the melody. Other than that Great job.
+HeyItsBeppa actually it's kind of important as it affects tone quality and tuning so if they tune or start up straight and lean down it changes the sound and can put them out of tune.
What flute are you you playing on? Actually, it depends on the position it lays on the chin. As the first flute/ first piccolo of my college I feel I should know lol.
HeyItsBeppa the way it lays on the chin is a part of the flutes level. No one is going to lay their head at a 45° angle with their flute so having a slack flute will chang e how it lays. Oh and the flute I'm using is a Gemeinhardt.

We just did this as a section feature to wrap up our marching show... Everyone loved it! One of our directors favorite section features of the night!
