Cilian is not the most talkative, I think he appreciates being interviewed with someone like RDJ, who is more at ease with answering when the topic veers off to somewhere that’s not really about the work
RDJ is like a social skill master. The way he smoothly defers to Cillian as the main actor and maintains his value etc. and also be funny and entertaining. All that is invisible skills that I don’t think people appreciate.

I am huge fan of Cillian and a big fan of RDJ as well and the way RDJ talks about Cillian and how much he admired his acting skills so humbly in almost every interview, its really so heartwarming. I have tears in my eyes man. Plus its a huge bonus to see RDJ bring his wit and sense of humour to all these interviews in contrast to CIllian's calm and cool personality. What an amazing duo that I never could have imagined coming together

RDJ is the perfect interview partner / hype man for Cillian, he does a phenomenal job of addressing the questions while promoting the project and more importantly praising and shining a light on Cillian and his performance.... love that energy and you can tell that Cillian is enjoying himself more in this interview .... Two absolute kings at the top of their game!

I just think they wanted to give it to Brendan Fraser due to his own personal history which was quite sad and when he made his comeback they probably felt like they had to give it to him. Anything is possible but there is more likelihood they gave it to him because of what I mentioned above, rather than some fat man loving agenda.

Both are deserving of Oscars for their portrayals in this amazing film. The fact that they are both so likable off screen is probably the reason that on screen the chemistry was so amazing. Great performances from the whole cast!

he has always had that , none of these actors got nominated for a drama and for a comedy in oscars and then went on to being the lead actors of biggest franchise of all time. its just few kids who have seen just iron man which again has great acting .

Thank God for Chaplin, TT and this amazing role: he most def deserves a nomination now, the Oscar even! Hopefully, like Matthew MacConaughay and Adam Sandler, after this he will choose his roles carefully and keep up the great work.

Some day he could win a oscer. Iv not seen it yet but if you have Matt Damon or Robert saying good things about Cillian I know without them saying anything how great he I'd and Nolan is like Albert Einstein of movie making no cgi all effect done infront of camera. All films done under budget. He gets actors to share rooms rather than having a home for each one because who needs a mobile home for few hours waiting Id prefer to share myself. Even Florence Pu I saw her first in little women because my x want to watch it and I said this actres is so good at American accent then I see her doing Eastern Europe accent very great actres. NOLAN + MURPHY = EXCELLENT. Because iv seen Batman Dunkirk The dream film Inception. All are brilliant films and Cillian keeps learning from working with Nolan. Also I bet Florence felt save doing scene of romance with Cillian because he cares about people. He's just a gfeat person who loves his wife and kids and he is from Cork my home town

@@anasshahid224 thanks mate. Stayed up to watch the other night. First oscers iv watched since Billy Crystal hosted and man Jimmy aint a Billy. The way he went after Robert Downey was not nice. We at home here where thinking this guy is the worst host ever. But thankfully Cillian won he deserved it. It had me going to the cinema. Not even Dune 2 got me to go to see that. I'll go probably because I loved dune 1. But Christopher Nolan when I see him bringing a new movie out I have to see it in cinema. Other films I'll watch on Box office channels on sky

The movie trailer looks great. I am a history professor and just made a 5 minute overview lecture for my students about the Manhattan project and Oppenheimer. I hope the movie is good and historically accurate. Nolan did a great job on Dunkirk
Thanks for doing that! I think it's one think to read about it a book, but another to see a movie, which gives you goosebumps every minute because Nolan makes Nolan movies.
I think because you learn about it in an emotional way that part of history really sticks with you.
So thank you for shifting the attention to Oppenheimer, so the listeners might be experiencing that history in cinema.
Im becoming a physicist myself and so excited for everyone to talk about how physicist can work in this society. This movie seems like it will teach a lot about that

In 1982, I watched Sam Waterston play Oppenheimer in the 7-part BBC series and was inspired to write my song, “The 3 Dreams of J. Robert Oppenheimer.”
The only book I could find about the Manhattan Project was Robert Jungk's personal account, Brighter Than A Thousand Suns. I checked that book out with a copy of John Donne's Holy Sonnets. Although I did not know that I would regularly perform the song at many anti-nuclear rallies over the next couple of years, I could not have imagined that a decade later I'd become friends with two physicists who'd worked on the Manhattan Project and knew Oppenheimer, one of whom I was shocked to learn (when I finally asked him exactly what it was he did at Los Alamos) that he was Edward Teller's assistant.
