Such an awesome night, so happy I made it.
An awesome event and a truly amazing community. A pleasure to meet everyone!
Love the high end cool tools.
Very nice to see the results of all your work, thanks for sharing this special event. Charles
John! Thanks for the great vlog and sorry to hear that you didn't get a chance to have a demo of our Alicona InfiniteFocus G6! I hope we can make that right soon ;)
Also, the optical 3D measurement device you saw there is about half the cost you mentioned. We will have a our micro-CMM (THE 1st fully optical 3D CMM) at Kern soon. The investment for that machine is closer to the number you mentioned in the video :)

At 5:20 the host shirt pattern makes the youtube progress bar bend 🤣
Nice event!
Yoooo... Yoooo YOOOO... Adam?! It's crazy - awesome - to have a diamond turning machine at a community college.
Nice immobilizer on that guys wrist in the beginning, I had the same thing, someone tried to squeeze by when I was working on a lathe, wrist got caught, wonder what happened to him
Is the voltage of the outlets the same?
They even had the right mustard is that even normally available in the US?
2:50 says serious setup, shows a LS9-16, state of the art desk from 2006
Maybe that's why they had so many technical issues 😂 John's talk went well but everyone else had glitchy screens
I must correct. I do work in bavaria, or more specific: franconia, and we almost never do "weißwurstfrühstuck" (white sausage breakfast; which includes white sausages, pretzels, sweet mustard and usually "weißbier" also called "hefeweizen"). Really... maybe twice in the last 6 years. Not every day at 9:30. We don't even have breakfast break.
Maybe in southern bavaria, "oberbayern" they do that every day. But I highly doubt it.
Kern is located in southern Bavaria. From my experiences in the factory, and talks with other colleagues, this is not a daily occurrence, but traditionally takes place every Friday. Kern serves pretzels and a variety of sausages every Friday, and it’s a very cool tradition!
