Fun fact: at 14:33 when the sign says June 28th, it got me thinking it might have been Markiplier’s birthday since he really contributed to game popularity. It in fact was correct. Mark’s birthday is June 28th, 1989. I’m sure I’m late to this aspect but I figured it was cool and oughta freak the hell out of him when he plays chapter two.

The lore heavily implies the kids were experiments, especially if you read some of the notes. The one in Ludwig's office says they need bigger test subjects than rats, there's a sign in the first chapter that says the employees adopt orphans and a sign in this one says they get kids from 2 months to 16 years. There's a note that talks about how they needed to add fake windows with lights behind them to simulate them being above ground because the kids were antsy, Mommy is supposed to guide the kids to the games and she's only nice to the kids not the staff (that's why all staff are instructed to be far away from her, and Stella's voice is recorded to guide kids through the games, instead of her being there), and all the games are tests of the body, memory, reflexes and physicality.

@@libbie.slayz2 I do think that Ludwig was trying to bring his family back, and it's possible Poppy is his daughter, seeing that she was locked away (for her own safety, likely) and her room seemed like an actual playroom, but I don't think Mommy was his wife, there's nothing to suggest it.

THEORY TIMEEE: So there is a very important detail a lot of people missed. In both trailers, Poppy says “Mommy doesn’t like guests” however, Mommy Long Legs is absolutely overjoyed to see us and she expresses it again and again. Notice the difference between “Mommy” as Poppy says in the trailer and the name of the main baddie in this chapter “Mommy Long Legs”. That might be irrelevant but still. I don’t think Mommy Long Legs as seen in this chapter is the Mommy Poppy refers to. I think the one she’s talking about is the claw we see take Mommy Long Legs’ body away.
Then again if you heard it she said “ he’ll make me part of him”

Chapter 2 was such an improvement of the first since the first was basically a test chapter with the only horror being the last segment while this one has multiple sequences with lots of tension and it’s been absolutely hilarious seeing peoples reactions. The caterpillar freaked me out the most.

Mommy Long Legs was the result of a woman called Marie Paine. She was extremely hateful and hostile towards employees because of what they had done to her, but she enjoyed being near children, perhaps because she was a mother of young children. Because of all the experiments on her, she hated any of the employees, or former employees because of the ones that used her as an experiment. The same thing happened to Huggy Wuggy, he was a man called Huggerson Wugson, and he was transformed because of an explosion in the factory. Hope that helps, any questions write them in the comments

@@auditplayz8577 I don't think I saw them in Lauren's video but I saw them in some other videos, they're kinda hard to see at first since the lights aren't so bright, but when the lights adjust a little better, you can see Bunzo hanging from Mommy's spider web, but what's weird is that when you leave the game Wack A Wuggy, he's gone and the Mini Huggies are up on the ceiling. Also, I know it happened because when you go in the game files, the noise you hear after you leave the game Musical Memory and Wack A Wuggy is called Mommy kills Bunzo and Mommy kills Mini Huggies

THEORY TIMEEEE: when mommy got caught in the grinder, she said '' hell make me part of him!" And when she died, the prototype grabbed her head. What mommy meant was that the prototype is trying to become the strongest toy, so he collects dead toys body parts and attatches it to himslef to make him stronger. But, how did mommy know this? Maybe she used to side with him to help him become stronger, and then she bettayed him, so he targeted her when she was dead for most parts of him. So maybe mommy took part in killing other toys for him...? (Just theory's)

I also have a theory. So, obviously, there are a lot of characters/toys/demons in poppy playtime. The first chapter was based on Huggy Wuggy. Now this one is based on Mommy Long Legs. So, I think that there will be a few chapters after this one and they will each be based on one of the toys. I also think that the last chapter will be sort of based on a "final boss". My idea for the final boss comes from Mommy Long Legs' last words (Mommy Long Legs' death: 52:06) which are, "What have you done?! He’ll make me part of him! You can’t do this to me!”. (Thank you TriforceofMalice for translating that) So, I think that the final boss is the claw that took Mommy Long Legs' head after she died, and it took it and will continue taking each and every toy's body parts to put them all together to make himself. TheorySSSSSSS: OK so the children are experiments (Huggy was a child/Poppy was the doctor's/porfessor's daughter) right? Thats, why there is all those tests=to discover if they are worthy enough to be an experiment... Mommy LL is a caretaker in case they get worried or anxious. (Thats why she has long parts=to keep track of them and grab them if they run away) Mommy started gaining feelings for the children, possibly knowing they were used as experiments. So she "protected them". I think any of the main experiments (Dino/CandyCat/Huggy and his girlfriend or whatever Kissy is) might have been her children she was trying to keep safe.
ANNDDD IMPORTANT when your in the maze w dogepillarthingy she says there were others (of staff and children) and she killed them, but they all died. Important thing is that there are others. MORE PEOPLE who didn't survive Kissy/SS?/Huggy/Mommy/Poppy/Clawthingy at the end that looks like an exoskeleton/etc. Were not the only ones. These children may be expirimented with BCS they found out abt their testing so they made them into toys are whatever to protect the secrets but still be cute and had them out to the world so kids and parents don't like suspect their stuff.
ANOTHER THEORY- the claw thing might be "daddy" (please don't s*x**l*z* that f*ckt*rd) Mommy does say "HE'LL make me apart of HIM" I kinda think all of the experiments were the porfessors/doctor's FAMILY. Mommy might be his wife, Poppy his daughter. Huggy?Beecat?Dino?Kissy?Dogepillar? might be friends OR the children that found out abt whats happening/OR they just need children to expo on. Like the player or past employee, we passed the tests and Poppy found us worthy and wants us to help her with her *possible* "father's" (profess/doctor/claw thingy at the end) old work.
AND the "daddy" I was talking abt MAY actually be the proffes/doctor guy. He exposed on himself BCS he wasn't getting enough children and Mommy was saving the good ones or keeping them for herself to care for BCS Poppy (her old daughter turned into the living devil ofc) left her. Poppy is willing to keep her father's work alive and has found a worthy expo that hasn't been killed by Poppy/Huggy/etc. SO she uses you. ALSO at the end, that may have been blood. I think were going to be an expo and we have to fight from being turned into a toy to kill others. And were possibly going to have to fight "Daddy".
I think Mommy is partially good. Now read over that again. PAY ATTENTION. Mommy is trying to save all the testers/expos by killing them so they arent tested on like her. She seems to be very scared of "he" at her last cutscene. Shes trying to save you the best way she can because she knows that the professor (her husband and/or poppys dad) likes to kill people like you for experiments.
