    Always amazed at what you turn out. I thought I saw the TACP badge on your spindle housing. Spent my time as a Grunt in the Army but we would have TACP's or CCT's with us every now and again. Always good guys to have around.

    I don't make it down here as often as I used to. We're still watching, just more on the TV now. Another one that's just amazing. And these kinda salvage jobs are like your super power, brother. We should get you a reality show called "Bowl Rescue" where other turners send you their screwups and you turn them into functional masterpieces. Spoiler Alert: Nick Zammeti's submission will involve colored pencils somehow.

    You know, duct tape could be the American answer to Kintsugi. I love it like I love ALL your work, Ken. My favorite color combo is blue and gold, but that might just be my bias showing.
    A favorite bumper sticker I saw years ago - Duct tape is like the Force. It has a light side, a dark side and it binds the universe together.

    Kintsugi is truly one of the most beautiful art forms. nice to see something like that in wood!

    I think the bowl is truly beautiful. The gold looks like sunbeams thru the water. But boy oh boy that bowl made you work for it!

    Beautiful bowl, you got some patience with all the cracks and voids. Sound effects are funny. But you need to let your texted comments stand for a second or two longer, so I dont have to rewind and pause to read them everytime 😁

    The new technique turned out pretty good. I'd never heard of it before but once you explained it it made the gold repairs have a different meaning & I liked them 😉

    Man this one gave you a run for your money. I like how you fixed it with gold, reminds me of the time Bobby Duke fixed his accident. That's a beautiful blue color. Very cool bud

      I'm going to try this on a cutting board that cracked and I filled it with the same color it was originally. But it don't look good. So I will cut it and pour gold in it's cracks/

    Hi again Moonpie, I love the pour again another similarity in our thought process! The table I told you about when I did the pour on video of course, I poured 6 or seven separate colors so I could get lots of brilliant color separation! I'd love to have a lathe! Keep up the great work and beautiful pieces of art! I love the gold highlights you fixed the bowl with it really is gorgeous ✌ and Crafters 💘

    I have experienced the need for doing exactly what you went thru on this project several times and never knew the technique had a formal name! Thanks for sharing. And here all this time I thought that stuff like that only happens to me due my complete lack of anything remotely resembling luck…

    It was probably a pain in the bum every time you came to a void or crack but I admire you perseverance and the imperfections led to a really fascinating and unique piece. Beautiful x

    The gold repair does look better than I thought it would. Now the Kintsugi explains why you spent so much time saving it. On a side note, If I had a nickel every time my ex said who's f ing idea was this I could buy a couple bowls and a cutting board. PTSD is almost gone. lol And I agree with leaving the cliff notes up a little longer. Old man eyes take time to read.

    I like it and it seems to fit the definition of kintsugi. I have only seen it done on ceramic but close enough.

      I went back and started to cut and paste all comments but time ran out. lol. I've been wanting to try it for a while. I am thinking of purposefully over heating a cutting board just to make it crack.

    I like the sound effects and think you should add more. Maybe some NASCAR sounds while turning. I also think the Logo Coins look more professional than the burn-in. Just my opinion, do what makes you feel good.
