I always clean my fridge the night before I shop because when I get home I just want to put things away because I'm exhausted.
I’m sure it definitely helps cleaning the fridge ahead before grocery shopping!
This is always my goal but I often don’t get it done before shopping! 🤦🏻♀️
I'm the same way, I get rid of old uneaten food as well and anything we just aren't eating

Oh gave me all kinds of new ideas waiting on a house to come open on housing I'm disabled and living with my niece but I'm daydreaming for the day I'll have my own place again
We live so far from town, I have to take a cooler with ice to put all my frozen & cold items in. It helps when I get home too because that stuff stays safe while I'm unpacking.

I like to clean my fridge a day or 2 before I do my big grocery shop and I actually wash all the shelves in my tub because I find my kitchen sink too small and I end up with water all over.

I clean my fridge every month with hot water only. I clean both my fridge and freezer every month before or after we do our groceries because I like to have a clean fridge and frrezer.
Opening a clean fridge is one of the best feelings! 🙌🏻😉
How you cook and use Spam in your meals? Here is a tip I use that you might consider. I do a look thru when making my shopping list and go ahead and clean the fridge and freezer before I shop. I find I can get the cold items put away quicker and only have to move around a few items to make space. I live in a rural area and have to use insulated bags to transport my food so I have to put away the cold ones quickly. Just a thought. And I am still enjoying your content. You introduced me to the brisket, breaded cod, and chicken fried rice from Sam’s and for that alone I thank you! 💕

Yes! That’s what I do too! I take a look at everything and make my list, but sometimes we get carried away and distracted in the store and forget a few items on the list!😅 the thing I haven’t do which I always plan to but rarely ever do is to clean or wipe down the fridge first before shopping! I’m sure it helps a lot in putting away the cold items faster! Thanks for your tip, I’m sure other people here in the comments will find this helpful! 🥰 And I’m glad you found new items to try from my grocery haul! 😁 those 3 items are a staple here in our home!☺️

Yes we go to the store to pick up most of our grocery items including house hold items once a month or every 6 weeks then once a week for fruits and veggies since those goes bad faster! We do save money this way and we have less food waste as well! ☺️

Hi, new to watching. How often do you shop "big" like that and how large is your family? We are a family of 4 and I don't buy too many prepared items so thinking I'd have to tackle this differently. Thanks for sharing your method. It's great!
She had mentioned in other videos that she shopped like that once a month and then weekly she’ll get produce and anything she ran out of that she needs for that week, hope this helps

We shop big once a month or every 6 weeks if we still have a lot of leftovers in the freezer. Every once in a while we skip a whole month too to really get low and used up what we have, kinda like start over. And for produce items, I go to the store once a week to pick up fresh fruits and veggies! My husband and I both work a lot! He have 2 jobs and I work a full time job so having frozen meals or prepared items saves us from going out to eat when we don’t cook or too tired to make anything for the day. 😊

Ok, no shade whatsoever- but how do you use all that food before it goes bad?! Like so much bread, so much milk - and the drinks . . I’m sincerely curious because I’ve never grown up with that much food in the house and even as an adult I feel like I waste food with not even a third of that.
Also serious question how do you determine what to buy when (of course this is just what I see) it looks like you have so much already? Again not judging, I’m genuinely curious. I understand all families are different and seeing if something like this may be better 🤷♀️

Hello,
A lot of our food if you noticed are frozen food or food that can be freeze! Meaning they can last up to 6 months or more depending on what kind of food same with the pantry items and snacks. We don’t need to drink all the beverages fast just to finished them, they basically don’t expire except for the bottled coffees and juice. The bread and milk can also be freeze! I don’t think you noticed in the video that I put bread in the fridge to get more shelf life out of it, and if it gets close to expiration then we give some bread to our dog too, we have 2 big ones and they love bread!
With the milk. We really do consume a lot of milk here, about 4 gallon a month so 1 gallon a week. I drink coffee every single day and use milk with it. My son drinks milk everyday and also use for cereal or food recipe from time to time. Also, the milk that we get are lactaid, they last about 3-4 months, you can check it out in the store for yourself!
So we don’t really need to rush to finish them incase we don’t feel like drinking them is some days! We have a good amount of time before it expires!
And for your other question, we buy what we are already out of! Or we want to try something different that we’ve never try before! Yes! We do have a lot of food because we chose to have a lot of food in our home, anything can happen! Like another COVID for example! (I’m praying not! Of course!) And store can close again or run out of food like before!
We also rarely ever go out to eat so and it saves us money that way!
