Beth, I recognize someone who has a gift for teaching! My mom had it for teaching me literally anything that could be taught, and I learned her gift for teaching math and science subjects [doesn't hurt that I love both]. You are a wonder to watch and listen to, that you explain things so well, and stepwise, even giving enough of the "why" behind what's required [that's always important to me]. Thank you for sharing your gift and skills.
I started this pattern last night but wasn't sure if I was doing it right(been crocheting for a few months only) but thanks to you now I know exactly what to do! I have actually learned so many awesome tips from your great videos!! So thank you so so very much!
AWESOME!!!!Now I can make the case I want!!!I read you comment on house work.We r one in the same.My boys are still young so I make sure their clothes are clean & the house in fair order, but when u have a 2 yr old to run after most of the time.My husband is always telling me not to worry so much about be spottless.Lol!Most important is spenting time with my family.
This tutorial was amazing ! Thanks so much for your help. I'm almost at the spine now and getting a little nervous haha. But I'm sure I'll get it with the help you gave and the printed instructions. This is a gift for my Confidential Cupid :)
I tried to do this from the full video tutorial and from the written notes but really messed up. So glad I found your wee video about the most crucial part (the pocket) of the project else I would not have been able to do it. Thank you so much. So easy to follow your instructions.
Great appreciation for putting this instructional video on here. I now have this figured out, thanks to you. I thought the free loops were the opposite side of the starting chain & it just didn't make sense to me reading "repeat rows 2 & 3".....the starting chain was not going to work. lol
@aysleek I let things go. Some things that seem important are not so much. and the things that really matter I do. My house is not the cleanest place to visit. I often will simply rinse the dishes and leave them for tomorrow. Who needs to vacuum when no-one has used that room? Bathrooms and kitchen and laundry are the chores I concentrate on. My husband & older son do their own laundry. I crochet while watching TV. When my boys were little, I did much less crochet.
Hello Beth, could you please help me? I am having a very hard time with The Aluminum Crochet Hook Case pattern Row 40, the "Outside Cover Spine". I have tried everything and i just can't get it. +Gama Cappucino Do a treble crochet or and use a larger hook when ever you get to the part of making the pocket for the hook that you need larger. I've made quite a few like that for my hooks and my family.
Please help. I am wanting to use a bigger hook and a triple crochet to make a larger pouch. Do I start the row with the sc and then do a tc instead of dc?? Or do I start the row with a dc, then increase to tc??? How does this work?? Thanks in advance for the help.
I think your followers want you to do that work, since you helped them so much. It is so important to learn correctly, so please, consider it. And this is December 3, 2019 at 11:39 p.m. Best wishes!

@katzrule34 Are you a member of Ravelry? The pattern is archived and the link goes through the way-back machine. The links work for me.
I'm sorry, I never finished the case. There is a group on Ravelry who did a crochet along.
It's on the Learn Crochet forum.
@HairNMakeupJunkie I use Pinnacle studios version 14.

You are making a crossed dc. You will cross over the dc you just made and dc in the skipped stitch.
tried finding the pattern and nothing shows up when I click on that link for the free pattern up there.
thax
Now I understand the first part. It would be nice if you could do the entire pattern.
It is not my pattern.
I meant neither link works for either of the free patterns listed up there.

This is what I want to know too. Nobody seems to be able to answer how to do it bigger
+Gama Cappucino Use longer stitches.
Do a triple crochet stitch on 3....that's what I did and it holds mines perfectly!!! hope that helps!! :-)
