RIP Dean Martin (June 7, 1917 - December 25, 1995), aged 78 And RIP Marty Feldman (July 8, 1934 - December 2, 1982), aged 48 You both will always be remembered as legends.
48 is way too young to be goin around dying all over the place. The poor sh-t. Apparently he smoked like a chimney, drank like a fish, and ate like a pig. He had a short life, but he enjoyed it.
For those of a certain age, "Marty Feldman's Comedy Machine" was essential viewing in the very early 1970s. It hasn't been shown for nearly fifty years on any TV networks to my knowledge, but it was up there with Monty Python. Gone, not forgotten. Marty left far too soon.
I remember 'Marty Feldman's Comedy Machine.' I watched every episode but felt it was not as good as his earlier shows for the BBC. I think some sketches were rehashes of earlier Marty BBC sketches. There was also an attempt to copy some ideas from Python e.g. animations. But celebrities featured in many episodes. I remember Roger Moore and Groucho Marx appeared in different episodes.
I’ve been rewatching it. Surprising to see Barbara Feldon turn up in a couple of shows (after the end of _Get Smart_ ). Also Art Carney and Orson Welles. And regular guest Spike Milligan providing his own brand of complete lunacy. The cut-up animations were done by Terry Gilliam, who was responsible for the exact same thing in _Monty Python_ . Also so far I’ve spotted 3 or 4 skits that were copied from the earlier _At Last, The 1948 Show_ , which also had Marty in it.

I was just watching a sketch with John Cleese and Marty Feldman, and I began thinking about the differences and similarities between American and British comedy. That's when Dean Martin popped into my head. I, then, began scrolling again, and immediately came across this sketch. `Amazing when things like this happen.
I was a civilian aboard the USS Anzio many years ago doing some communications research. We did a port call in Portsmouth, UK and I was craving a steak. My engineer and I hit a pub that had a reputation for fantastic steaks. I ordered mine blue, ultra rare. I’m loving the steak and half way thru it my colleague asks “how’s that mad cow disease?”. Mad cow disease was very new and only thing we knew is it came from cows obviously. First half was incredible, last half I couldn’t eat.

Two old school legends, one a classy American crooner, the other a madcap English comic performer.
Simply brilliant, Marty Feldman has never gotten the acclaim he deserved, if he was on tv in the 70’s you made sure you were there to watch it..
Nobody like Marty Feldman, ever. One of a kind! Loved watching his show long ago. The All Time Zany Greatest!!!

Marty was one of the greats
Marty Feldman, one of my childhood heroes, a pure genius!
Back when 📺 was worth watching...now to see great material like this you gotta watch RUclips...thanks by the way!
A very underrated comedian. His sketch about 2 drivers heading for the same parking spot had me rolling on the floor.
Gone is the greatest character actor since WC Fields. We all miss him.
a lot of them was great in there way

He was great in Young Freinkenstein with Gene Wilder and the rest of that great cast

A part that was written especially for him after Gene saw him on TV.

The waitress was trying so hard not to laugh😂🤣😅
Marty Feldman was a vegetarian. He was evacuated to a farm during the war and witnessing the slaughter of animals converted him to vegetarianism.
and marty also said when he worked in a vineyard...that he saw at first hand..the brutality to the grapes
@IanFromCalifornia ...he said that...but i think it was just sour grapes
Alot of good it did him he died of a massive heart attack should have just enjoyed his steaks and ribs
A lacto-ovo vegetarian, to be precise.
Wow, the way he lifts his hat with his eyebrows! Never seen anyone else do that!

Seventies humor is pretty different,Marty was almost a cartoon character come to life
Marty Feldman was one of my favorite when I was à tee nager...
Loved Dean Martin both as a singer and actor. I think my favorite movie was he was Matt Helm. I would watch the Dean Martin show w my dad.
I love his music, he had so much style and charisma. A real crooner, not like music today. Give me Dean Martin over Dean Lewis any day.
Marty was a sadly under rated comedy genius.
He was never under rated by anyone.

The next time that Dino plays on a bar jukebox, I will recall this.
