I keep coming back, even after 3 years when i have nothing to do with this game. That's how you know this ost is something else.

God, this track. It's amazing, it's definitely got an emotional feel to it, as if it's a sort of "the calm AFTER the storm" vibe, or a scene of someone trying to understand anothers' issues or problems. If that makes sense. It almost gives a feel of "everything will be okay, no matter what happens", and that (in my opinion) goes well with this mod.

even though the writing for the mod was a tiny bit messy i still love it. more than any other just cause of the sheer sorrow and despair throughout the whole thing. its exactly what i want out of a story something where for once there is no happy ending it just gets worse.

Natsuki was a bit too.. kinda dumb. She shouldve just seen that everything would be okay. Instead she ended up dragging everyone she loves down with her to her level of sorrow with her death. The mc shouldve just tried to listen to sayori at the end and be with her.

Well jesus, he found her god damn suicide note after an entire YEAR. Hell, I would kill myself too.

Tbh, the game is kinda a real one for that. Even though we were the ones on the screen to watch, we can see on epilogue that both mc and natsuki were assholes. Their relationship wasn't supposed to last any longer, they basically fucked up in everything. I kinda feel bad for Sayori in Redux and Epilogue, she tried so hard for both of them. But mostly mc. She basically did everything for him, and he didn't even care at all... imagine the stress she had to pass. She had to go through natsuki's death, which was a close friend and lover of mc, mc's grieving and not being able to still not move on nor having any interest to live. In fact, she saw all that with the one guy that she loved her entire life basically killing himself because he couldn't be able to move on. Can we blame mc and natsuki? No, but we gotta agree at some point that they were assholes. Mc tried everything to save Sayori, and he did it. Sayori tried everything to save mc, and she didn't. Not to mention that she was still able to go all through that makes her prob the best character in the mod. She was strong asf, she actually moved on, even after her friend's death and the death of the one that she loved the entire life. God damn, Sayori didn't deserved all that. I feel really bad about her.

@@AzzGuyi would say the only reason sayori didn't kill herself after the pain of watching nat's life fall apart before her eyes & then her death, was because mc was all she had left, and he needed round-the-clock supervision. so that became her life. he was all she was living for anyway, and he threw that away because of his own guilt and his own sorrow. in my mind, sayori would not have lived much longer than mc at that point. the greater character arcs you see as the story progresses certainly makes it easy to call them all assholes (and tbh they definitely are), but the reason i loved to sympathise with them was because i was writing them as humans living in the moment and making those choices for their own reasons.

@@rs6000_ yea, that's probably what made me like about the mod the most. The development was perfect, and at some point you can understand that even though they were assholes, they were humans just like us, they were supposed to make mistakes. After all, imo, they were basically blinded by their egoistical needs. I'm not saying that they were 100% egoistical, but prob MC. I think that, at some point, MC turned selfish. And i think that when he called the police, at that point, he forgot about basically every consequence. He just needed to "protect Natsuki", yet didn't listen to what she actually wanted. Not that she had some any other choices either, but more about the fact that he included Natsuki's abusive relationship, when he could just simply say that someone came inside his house, destroyed everything and he knew who it was. Even though Natsuki said she could forgive him earlier, i think that dialogue pretty much changes everything on that choice. She wouldn't feel the pressure of having to admit every year that she suffered to a bunch of unknow people. And that could maybe avoid Natsuki's death. Either way, even though MC was everything that was left behind for her, he still couldn't care enough for her. It's totally understandable his reasons, but he didn't even tried to actually move forward. And we can completely understand Sayori's feelings torwards MC at epilogue, because even though she gave everything to him, he simply decided to give up. And at that point, you realize that: even if 90% of the time you were watching his vision, he was still a bad person, no matter what point of view. The mod was perfect, and even if the ending wasn't a happy one, the mod could still be peak at everything. Thank you for actually working on this masterpiece, this mod is probably one of the greatest, it nailed everything; enviroment, delevopment, story, and heck, even the animation was good, because you could interpret everything EXACTLY how it was being said. I hope Nothing Without You is just as great than Exit Music Redux turned out to be.
