We were using our Inspire to get a nice aerial perspective for the explosion, and I noticed all the pigeons on the telephone pole. Flew the drone at them and scared them away, and got a nice shot in the process! -N

Yeah, I don't know. Seemed too quirky to be on par with a quality CorridorDigital video.
The cars didn't follow any set of pre-determined physics. They moved like those finger-sized skateboards and BMX bikes you move with your hands. Kinda dumb.

I do completely agree that I was waiting for better overall quality. I get that it might be like that in the game, but CD videos are usually good for anyone, familiar or not with the game(s) or movie(s) depicted.

Would be even more fun with real cars. Possibly if the remote car had a camera attached to it.
Either way though I would be much better off sticking with the video game version. I would probably end up in a serious wreck if someone hire me as driver, and there is no way I would be able to afford a remote vehicle that could do all that.

Cool idea, I get that the cars are light, but I don't know about the cars movement with the rocket jumps and boosts but they just seemed a bit off IMO. I think that the movement didn't really seem to match with the big effects. Not sure if it's just me.

Corridor Digital could have used their RC controllers, or with a different sponsorship Nvidia Shields. Burying the disclosure in a slightly vaguely worded sentence in the video description is not good enough. Clear and conspicuous.

there's a couple of frames around 45 seconds where you can see the arrows they used to hold up the RC cars when taking the shot that were accidentally missed during Post Production haha :D I only noticed it after watching it like 3 times and pausing looking for it.

I don't know why but hearing that unnecessary sound effect when Sam raises his eyebrow makes me laugh every time.
You could totally do this in real life. The rockets would need some sort of start/stop mechanism, so the cars would probably need to be bigger. Definitely should be done in a contained, concrete arena so that any fire would be contained. This would be pure epicosity.
