    I got my 2023 Bolt EV a couple weeks ago. I’m 61 and I have owned many cars though the years. The Bolt is by far the best car of the bunch. I’m very impressed with it.

      You think you like it now, as you watch your gas $ savings every month, you really start to wonder why people are fighting EV's.

    I have driven Cadillacs for years. I have driven Corvettes for many years. Well, in 2023, I was able to get a 2023 Chevy Bolt. I love it. It is so roomy, it is comfortable, it is quiet, it is reliable, oh, and it is fast if you know how to drive with one foot!

      Thanks for your comment. Even though theres hundreds of different EV cars now, Im glad we bought the. Bolt.

    The 2023 endurance run allowed the Bolt to show off its performance! It beat out expensive EVs with AWD, including a Tesla.

    Hoping to pick up a pre-owned Bolt this summer. Need to replace my daily driver and I have heard over and over that these make great commuter vehicles. We may not have flying cars yet, but I look forward to the day when I can plug my car in the same way that charge my phone each night!

    2 years ago (December 2021) we bought an used 2017 Bolt EV here in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴. The car was imported from the US and only had 22,000 miles (34,500 km). I was undecided about a Hyundai Kona electric and the Bolt. I saw a video you posted about how spacious the Bolt was, filled with sound equipment and music instruments. Also I remember you said you are a tall guy and that you feel great in the seat. After that video I realized the Bolt was more convenient for us than the more expensive Kona. Now with 46,300 miles (75,000 km), very happy and zero regrets I will like to send you this huge thank you message. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience.

      You are so welcome. The Bolt really is a great small car. Im glad it worked out for you. Isnt it nice to not have to buy gas?? Thank you for your comment. Im so happy it all worked out for you.

    Great video fellow Bolter! I've had my 2019 Premier since brand new and have never been happier with my car. My hat's off to GM for creating this masterpiece!
    Yes, the Cadillac Lyriq looks nice... except for the price. The same goes about the Blazer EV. Personally, I can't wait to test drive a new generation Bolt that Mary Barra promised to roll out in late 2024 or early 2025. Meanwhile, my Bolt keeps me as happy as can be. :)

    I bought my 2023 Bolt EUV 2 weeks ago and really love it. My wife has a new Kia Soul and the Bolt is a more comfortable ride compared to that car. Both cars are comparably the same price (the Soul has all the bells and whistles). I get free charging where I work at (I work at a University where there are quite a few charging stations on campus). My Bolt is a basic model, with no upgrades, but it's okay. I use it mainly to drive to and from work (10 miles daily). I paid $32,000 U.S. with a $6,500 down payment to keep the monthly payments on the low end. I qualify for the tax rebate, but I never have a tax liability.

    I bought a used 2019 Bolt Premier for $13,000 (After the Federal Used Tax Credit) with 55,300. It's a great car. I put at least 100 Miles on it everyday for work. I've had it for 2 and a half months and already put 5,000 miles on it. I just need to put better tires on it when these ones are blown out. They aren't good in the snow, not the Bolt's fault though.

    I drove new Cadillacs that cost a fortune ($70,000)! They were nightmares (in the shop 24 times in 3 years). All had AWD and they drove my mpg way down (22 mpg down to 17 mpg).!

    Driving 25,000 miles/year, I should save over $6000 US charging my Bolt vs buying gas for my 16mpg Xterra.

      Thats prob right, I save $8000 a year CDN. We def save money. I know so many people that were fighting buying an EV, but after they did, they say the same thing. It's great to drive by gas stations.

    Perhaps the most uncomfortable seat/headrest in any car. I pulled mine out & straightened the connecting rods some so I wouldn’t end up like Quasimodo.

      Ya, my truck is more comfortable. I do'nt find them that bad, but I have a bad back from an injury, so if I drive for more than 3 hours in any vehicle I have to stop and get out. My former work commutes was around 45 min each way, and I found them fine for trips under an hour.

    I’d like one too but got my Toyota Venza for 6000 two years ago and it’s paid off. 30 thousand dollars vs no payments even with 191,000 miles makes it hard to justify a bolt. Unless I’m missing something.

    • @daryledean
      @daryledean  11 месяцев назад

      Hey, that actually is a great way to go. I was telling a guy a few years ago, that depending on how much you drive, its probably a better way to go to get a dependable cheap used car. Im saving $8000 a year in fuel, so if you buy a cheap car for $6000, and spend $8000 more than me in year 1, thats only $14000. And in year 2 its $22000 you've spent. I'll probably add this discussion into my next video coming soon. For me, I had a Camaro to trade in, and thus I didnt have to spend too much to avoid gas stations.

    • @jeffehlers9893
      @jeffehlers9893 11 месяцев назад

      @@daryledean I spend about 3500 in fuel each year. About 300 miles a week. Would love a Bolt but not sure that would be smart. Everything is a risk. My Venza is gradually losing value. But right now no payments vs 500 dollars a month for 6 years.

      Keep your eyes peeled. Gm is releasing all the Bolt buybacks to various dealers (with new batteries installed). Average selling price is $15k to $18k US depend on options.@@jeffehlers9893

    Would you buy basic or full package
    How does battery cost

    • @daryledean
      @daryledean  Год назад +2

      If you have the money, the Premier has a ton of great features. But, the basic one has a ton too. (both are great) The batteries were free, but if you are asking what it costs to charge....it will run you about 2 cents per KM to drive if you charge at home, and it is arounds $15 to charge at charging stations (for a full charge)
