love the bit about limitations based on narratives, and how formal elements are tied to those preconceived narratives. dropping that narrative allows for a much broader exploration within the work. thank you for sharing.
I love his open honest humorous way of talking about art , and life, it's refreshing not to hear an artist pontificating about tone, line , concepts to do with painting that most people don't understand. He's easy to understand and not trying to be intellectual or talk in a way that only people who consider themselves intellectual or art lovers understand. I wish more artists were as accessible and funny. I am a painter and I have a similar attitude. No more war , better paintings 😆
so great!

Gosch ich liebe Daniel Richter so, nicht nur künstlerisch ein Vorbild. Greetings from Germany, from Nordlicht to Nordlicht, höhö 🪱
Great interview. Better or bad, it's all good.
Yes
I really enjoyed that interview. I feel the need now to go make some better art..
He is one who tells you what is right and wrong...dont like that...He has nothing to say...the paintings...well
His paintings are brilliant. His recent work, not so much. But he's a great living painter.
ey mallah!
