You've Done all you can to keep it American as Possible!!!! It's not feasible for you to get or switch to US Ti it would slow everything down way to much and in the End the Final Price of the Knife would just be to much!!!! Appreciate you keeping it 💯 Jonathan!!! LOVE My Gen 1 and it's staying in my collection till l die!!! :) 🇺🇲 👊🏻

No need to apologize and thanks for the clarification. Your knives are great regardless where the titanium comes from, IMO. If we applied this US made standard to cars, there would be some pretty disappointed Ford and Chevy fanboys, frankly any “US” brand. Thanks again.

Just got my 2nd Gen 2 3.5 and it’s even better than the first 3.5 with fastback milling I got when they first came out! Still love my Gen 1 3” as well 😁 have to ask though why does my newest model have an F stamped on the blade? Totally just curious.. finally got the model I’ve always wanted the smooth atomic finish Eknives hooked it up 🙏🏻🙏🏻 thanks for the transparency and the awesome products

    • @McneesKnives

@@hanjupp I explained the reason above. It actually costs us more to do it this way. Endmills aren’t cheap and are slower. The waterjet didn’t charge any more to cut another line.

The material on the lock bar on my gen 1 is a joke. The lock bar feels so weak (no tension) when disengaging the lock bar, it’s very easily over extended if you’re not careful.
When I messaged customer service they told me $400 for scales and I’d have to send my gen 1 in and pay shipping both ways.
For a American made company you’d think customer service would be better and more helpful

    • @bawihmung3544

What happened to the hollow ground blades? Jonathon I love u to death bro. The best customer service I've ever experienced. My spring broke in my titanium auto and he sent me one then face timed me and showed me how to put it back together! Who does that!!! Just bought the 3.5 grad frag I'm EKnives and I thought it was going to have the action like the older ones and sadly no. It makes me sad because the older models had really early detents and the fall was a thing of beauty!! The detent is really late now and then u add the ramp and it makes detent feel even longer like walking through mud. I'm really hoping the detent ball wears down the ramp so it doesn't get hung up like it does. The older models action made this knife one of if not the best folding knife I've ever had the pleasure of opening and closing. And now not so much. I want to love this gen 2 so bad and I'm not gonna give up on it I've only had it 5 mins. Maybe I'm just use too the old action and I need to get use to this one. Them I'm sad because my older model I had was a flat grind and then it changed to hollow and man I was so stoked and had to have one and then I finally get a new model and it's a flat grind! That's my luck. Man I don't know why u got away from the old formula because it was already perfect and all that needed done was the magnacut from the 20cv, do titanium hardware, mill a little pocket for the clip and change the flat to a hollow and BOOM the first flawless knife! Also the older model 3 inch had one of the best actions I ever felt as well. It was too small for my hand but that didn't matter because I couldn't put it down that's how addicting the action in those older models were! Geez I'm so sad.... no not sad just disappointed/ shocked. I don't know if I'm gonna be able to handle this action on the gen 2. Damn man I wanna love this damn thing because ur amazing and everything about ur company and you are the best out there! I did notice they weren't sold out instantly. Man U move the blade over to get past the detent and you go to let her drop ABC she bounces on the ramp. So unsatisfying. I'm not trying to bash the knife or anything like that I just wanted to let u know because I care. Ur honest with us and I want to be honest with you. I really really really hope it breaks in real good. Maybe you redesigned it to where when you break the detent alittle and you have to really snap ur wrist to get it over that ramp instead of breaking the detent and leaving ur hand over and it falling shut. Man but a really early detent and tilting ur hand over and it falling closed is just so good!!! I was expecting one thing and got another! I guess I can send it off for a hollow grind and stuff.

You are not the first person I've read opinions on the detent being fairly late on these Gen 2's. I REALLY want one, but now I am wondering if I should try and find a Gen 1 on the resale market. At north of $500, I have a lot of expectations for this knife, it really aught to be damn near perfect... Do you have any updates? Did it break in? Did you even end up keeping it?
