I just picked up a old 2010 Briggs flathead powered I believe mtd mower off the side of the road this morning. Got home pulled the cord fired right up. Might need a new carburetor or just the governor spring. But ran smooth but blew a good amount of oil out of the muffler enough to leave a quarter size puddle on the deck. Any ideas what it might be from? Head gasket bad? But I love this series and might do this to my little free one as I plan to keep it as my back up mower incase my Honda ever goes down.
When it's below 75 degrees I use a shot of starting fluid when starting my TVS-100 engine. Good engine, though I think it might just be the altitude. I like the Ford blue, it's good contrast with orange and yellow ha.
my brand new firman t07571 took a dump I need a new motor they say there Kohler .firman won't tell me witch 1 do you know .I want to buy predator 420 if it's swappable TKS Tony TOMA
I'm excited to see what kind of transmission you use with the vertical shaft motor. Always wanted to do something like this.

Connect a bike gear to the shaft then another one (attached to the wheels) perpendicular to it
