My Boring Bars are always off center. FeatureCAM simulation is ok but I can't make them to show off in the right position. Any advice?

Hi, Are you using FeatureCAM's standard Boring Bars or Solid Models from manufacturers?

I am using the FCam bars.
This is weird, sometimes it flips my block over. Rotates it 180 deg around its axis.

When you are running your champher mill around the areas on the inside, the turret was crashing into the chuck.........so no crash detection?
Hi Jason, Yes, we have full collision detection, but you can switch it off and on. It must have been off when that video was made. I have just watched it again and yes the jaws catch the tool holder block at around 4:54 - good spot!
Who do I speak to or what course do I take to get my simulations to be this good? I'm pretty good at FC, but I want it super clean like this.

You will need to obtain your machine model from Mori (if this is what you use) and you will also need the solids of the tool holder blocks too. Then this can be created as a ‘machine design’ file (.md) inside FeatureCAM. We do this for our users in the UK.
@@IndiecamCoUk Yes, I too know Dwight very well. He has been my go-to guy for years. I have spoke with him about other stuff, just not alot about the most effective way to do sims.
Would you have recommended workflow procedure when setting up a new MD file? As there isn't much in the way of good explaination. Do you have any training videos for how you do things?

Hello. How did You get model of DMG MORI NLX for FeatureCam?
Our customers acquire the solids from DMG Mori themselves, either by purchasing or negotiating, then they send them to us and we turn it into a moving working machine.
