I made a large farm of bomb peppers, they sell for 6 each and grow quickly.
A full stack (999) sells for 5,994... and you get good exp for farming.
My first farm was 100 of them growing so after 10 "farming runs" I had just shy of 6k then I grew bigger to 300 and they usually have grown by the time I have harvested and replanted it all.

You can still make a coral wood farm and turn it into planks then sell it

Nice video. I already thought of this, however, I did find out that if you want to REALLY make the most of the wood...you can make wood pickaxes, and then sell them. The pickaxes sell for 5 (takes 4 wood to make)
This will net you some nice crafting XP while still profiting more. However, my farm is so out here that i dont have to stop harvesting wood at all....theres ALWAYS wood grown, even if i spent 15 minutes harvesting it, so its a bit more of a pain for me to do.

Those are good options too! I’ve already outgrown this farm and using drills, conveyor belts ect and using an automatic farm now. This was mainly a decent beginner money farm

Im assuming they've updated this recently, probably in part of patch 0.3.3 at the end of March, where they also changed the repair items thing. You now get no coin for raw wood. wooden pick axe give 1 coin, as do wooden chests. As it takes 4 wood for an axe (5 for a chest) its basically 4:1 ratio at this point, but you also can work on crafting skill this way, if thats a goal for the player's progression.

I make mass torches with the wood which helps crafting skills and they stack so doesn't take up space.

Just cook a carrock with a glow tulip and sell the food. It worth 12 each.

aw man.. now wood is worthless and pickaxes sell for 1...

Rails sell for 4 a piece, easy to make and a whole stack is worth over 3600
