Sharing an old motel bed with the angel Castiel on a rainy night after a hard hunt. You can hear the heartbeat of his vessel, and even though he doesn't sleep, his breathing slows to match yours as you drift off, safe in his arms. The Storm rages on outside, but your safe in his arms.
Supernatural story follows two brothers (Sam and Dean Winchester) who are out to kill every evil thing in this world. When Dean was 4 yrs old and Sam only 6 months old; their mother (Mary) was killed, their father (John) was determined to find and kill the demon who killed his wife. Raising the boys as "HUNTERS" of all things evil. Their motto: SAVING PEOPLE, HUNTING THINGS, THE FAMILY BUSINESS. After John's death the boys continue the family business with the help of a few other hunters and Supernatural allies like the angel of the lord Castiel and king of hell Crowley, traveling cross country, killing as many monsters as possible and saving as many people as they can. And at the same time they learn that "Family don't end with blood". They will do whatever it takes to save each other and their "FAMILY". Going up against demons, vampires, werewolves, shapshifters, Hellhounds, Leviathans, Djinns, Ghouls, demigods, witches, Wraiths, Ghosts, Wendigos, spirits, Changelings, Jefferson Starships, Clowns, Scarecrow, the four horsemen, angels and even Archangels like Lucifer, Michael, Gabriel and Raphael among other things. They lose family and find new people they call family. They have gone to heaven and hell for each other and will do it all over again. Cause that's what FAMILY does and "Family don't end with blood". Follow the adventures of the awesome son of a bitch Dean Winchester and Sam Winchester who lost his shoe and is deathly afraid of clowns, on their journey to avert the next apocalypse and save the world. Don't forget the number 1 rule: No chick flick moments!

Why would I feel like Cas would be the one to pretend to be asleep so youd go to sleep? Like you know he doesnt sleep, hes an angel, he doesnt need it. But like it makes you feel comforted knowing hes there and his slow breathing so hed pretend to be asleep just for you.
Cas is definitely the one to pretend he was asleep to help you fall asleep, i think it would be comforting for him and you like he's just that amazing

@Galaxy Wolf most likely. I commented this before I finished the show or got to the part where Castiel becomes human/looses his grace. But it would make sense, and it could be like ever since he became human he didn't sleep well because he just didn't get it but he sleeps perfectly fine with you because hes comfortable/safe

I know angels don't sleep and Cas only slept while he was human but just having him laying next to me, listening to him breathing and just feeling his presence would be enough, knowing I'm safe while he's watching over me.
It is currently 5 am, I just watched the last episode of supernatural, cried my eyes out and man, I need this video more than ever.
He doesn't sleep but I could fall asleep knowing an angel is watching over me. :)

This is good, finally something to help with my anxiety and slight paranoia... I tend to freak out at the slightest noises when it’s late and dark outside, but having a person in the same room with me always ends up calming me down, only thing is is something called quarantine and I don’t even really know anyone in real life, so this helps a lot
After a rough hunt I'm tired out..and VERY glad that Cass doesn't snore :-)
Pov: Cas had just lost his grace and so obviously the first person he would come to would be you; his human. He quickly explained the situation and you spent the entire day teaching him how to be human; eating, going to the bathroom, etc.
Finally, you guys had reached the point of sleep. He was exhausted from having to learn so much so after you had both changed into pajamas and laid down, he was out like a light.
You couldnt help but sit there for a while and listen to his breathing, heart beat, and his occasional content sigh. You wished you had been able to do this before and would be able to again in the future; but you knew even if you could, it wouldnt be many more times.
Maybe sometime in the future you could convince him to just lie down with you and relax. He might not be able to sleep but that didnt mean that he couldnt cuddle you.

Cas hears me crying softly on the bed trying not to wake Sam and Dean. He climbs into bed beside me doesn’t say a single word just guides me to his chest. He starts breathing softly and slowly to help me calm down. I feel his strong arms around me, and for a little while I don’t feel so alone. He whispers softly do you want to talk about it? I look at him with tear stained eyes it’s been two weeks since she and I broke up why can’t I stop crying and move on? He wipes my eyes simple answer she meant something to you. How about I watch over you while you sleep?
