There are BJDs in darker resin colors and even some fantasy colors such as purple, blue, etc. Unfortunately, not every BJD company does fantasy shades or even darker skin tone colors. There are several reasons for this: one is that darker resin is harder to sand down properly without leaving it patchy and weird looking. It’s also pretty expensive. There are, however, many doll companies that offer BJDs in darker resin shades. I implore you to research about BJDs, though. It’s a very fun hobby.

@@Gucocdyrs No, they don’t at all. Darker resin is resin, nonetheless. You can do faceups on darker dolls as you would lighter ones. It just costs more to make the doll itself because of the extra additive for pigment. I have many BJDs from different doll companies, but most of them only offer lighter skin tones because darker resin costs more to make
