A lot of unnecessary hassle in my opinion. After solder removal smelt them directly with appropriate flux like silica sand or boron oxide, you need to get it very hot, but time-wise and cost-wise in the long run - you will be better off. Induction furnance is the best choice, maybe some pit furnance topped with coke will also do the trick (oxygen-deprived outgas at the top will prolong the lifespan of graphite crucible). Leaching is wasteful, lenghty and generate tons of waste. And also, you will lose quite a bit of the precious metal in the process. Nitric boil will dissolve awful lot of ceramic salts and these will always crush out during processing and dilutions, making everything nasty and cloudy. Also, unreacted leftover nitric will decompose DMG in the process, and leave also some Pd in solution. Neutralize the free acid before using DMG, at least to pH >0.

DMG dissolves very quickly and well in 5% sodium hydroxide solution. DMG can also be dissolved in acetone. I prefer to dissolve it in sodium hydroxide.

Cuando tengas el Paladio puro, fundelo en un crisol nuevo sin borax, trata de hacer un pellet con el polvo martillandolo en un molde, de esa manera será más fácil la fundición. Lo mismo aplica para el Platino, en ambos casos el punto de fusión es muy alto y de nada sirve el borax ya que se evapora a esas temperaturas y te da pérdidas y cuesta más arrastrar el metal en el crisol.
