I know that narratively, this is a rap battle, but in music theory (and the actual composition here), this is called Call-and-Response. *I've got like, a made up story of what's going on during the game's "Weeks" as you play:*
I like that the Dad is the first opponent on what looks like a 'anyone can perform' stage in a club as if he USED to sing a lot but retired and only just returned to it to vs you and as the songs progress he begins to get back into the rhythm of things and the Mam is the later on as the hardest one looking like she's a famous singer who, on her way to her next concert in her limo's, decided to rap-battle you on the hood of the moving limo. Then, both the parents now being well-acquainted with singing once more at the same time, decide to tag-team against you in the Shopping Centre while Christmas shopping. Then as soon as they finish their second song, some Lemon dude pulls you into a secluded unused part of the Shopping Centre to start threatening your girlfriend and you in some weird other language. Saying stuff that sound like, ACTUAL WORDS. How is he supposed to understand that? Anyways, not understanding a word of the Lemon guy, he just assumes he wants to Rap-battle, so he does, ignoring the blood decorations and decapitated head on the Christmas tree behind them because he's blind.
