I remember getting out of welding school applying for one job taking a weld test 2 days later and starting worked 7 days a week because they didn’t have enough welders. That was every place I went to. Second place I worked would give a weld test to any welder that applied and would hire them. Even if they didn’t have work for them, then they would come to the higher seniority guys and see if they wanted to go learn something. Running brakes, bridge ports, lathes, machining, programming, cad, getting cdl. You name it. It was a stressful place to work but for a person who wanted to learn as much as he could it was great!! Wish I would have got a CDL though. Only thing I didn’t touch. If you had a CDL that probably meant you were going out on the road and I didn’t want to be gone all the time lol

Materials are around $110 then some wear on my chop saw and some welding wire and gas and so on and so forth. So figured I’m $125 now I have building these down so I can cut tack and weld a set in just under 1 hour or can do 3 sets in just over 2.5 hours. So on these I’m making $150 a hour.
