@hopespringseternal2624 The Mets haven't been a CONSISTENT winner/championship contender. The Dodgers have. I think the Mets will probably get him because Cohen will outbid everyone but if he's about WINNING, it's the Dodgers.
I don't think this is going to settle soon, If Boras smells that there is still blood to suck this is not going to stop. The most I would go is : 14 years 640MM first 4 years 60M last 10 years 40MM No deferrals No opt out, no NTC. 2 years 140MM No deferrals, No opt out, no NTC.( only Dodgers interested choice )
@Jaybee82 With any Free Agent, the player has a choice - they want to have to want to come to the Giants. And the Giants just aren't a very attractive destination right now. They probably need to concentrate on trades rather than FAs.
All this deferred money, what happens if MLB changes how team can spend or gets a salary cap? You sign guys pay the AAV straight up and stop the deferred money.
Says a hater who didn't see his awesome performance in the outfield this year! Also was ranked 12th in his throwing arm getting many out at 2nd and home throwing dimes!
One problem to me in terms of the Giants is if we just let the dodgers sign everyone that makes them a even better team. Puts our chances of winning in the playoffs very unlikely
In the Boston area it's been reported that it's going to between the Mets or Red Sox. As a long time Sox fan I'm guessing the Mets. However Soto has strong ties to Ortiz so that might help but it's going to be about the money. Since this is going to hold up the market I think this is going to be resolved soon.
OMG!!! Dude if the DODGERS end up getting soto. This is going to be totally unfair. Sheeez what there line up is going to look like if they get soto looks video game like.
Soto is going to the Mets. After all, the Mets almost beat the Dodgers in the playoffs. Soto prefers to stay on the East Coast. Steve Cohen will not be outbid.
Good analysis old man!
Thanks
Appreciate the comments as always Craig!
Good topic
I agree people are sleeping on the Dodgers getting Soto. It's a real possibility, and a likelihood if Soto wants to win.
The Mets almost beat the Dodgers in the playoffs. That is not winning? He wants to stay on the East Coast. Dodgers will not get him.

Boras is smart put the 660 offer out there and let these teams try and outbid each other.

Nice
Everything still on table
Good video Dan!
Thanks Marty!
Great content
Would posey go 800 mil just blow all the teams away
I find it hard to believe the Giants are a real player for Soto.
I don’t think realistically they have a shot either.
And if they're not gunning for Soto, why not get ahead of the game and sign another big FA like Adames, Snell, Burnes, Fried, Hernandez?

If Giants are lowering payroll, they won't go for Soto.
I don’t think so either.
I don't see the Giants in this. They need a lot more than just one hitter.
@@paulgodbey304 Agreed.
Sadly I agree
My guess is he's gonna land on his feet right on top of a pile of money
Haha very true
Obviously
Is there any chance the giants do sign him?
None. Zip.
Posey is not that dumb to pay that kind a $$$$$$$$ for a .300 hitter/mid 30HR…lol…there’s no way he worth more than Judge.
Judge is 31 Soto just turned 26
❤
I the Mets or padres get Soto
@@Clownforto The Padres have financial issues, so I doubt they'd be in on Soto.
Giants don't have a chance. Come on. I keep telling you Blue Jay's or Mets. Mets for $701million. More then Ohtani
Agreed

I fixed the title thanks for the heads up
660 million is way to much for a DH!
He is not a DH.

The giants won’t get Soto that’s all I know.
So trye
I agree Liam
And they want to have expansion by 2030. LOL

He's going to sign with the Dodgers.
No he isn't. He prefers to be on the East Coast and the Met's owner will not be outbid by the Dodgers

We Dodgers don't need nor want Soto. We'd pay $100 for him not to come.
Good to know
he is going to be a met
I think that is the most likely landing spot
