My favorite thing about this church is that they don’t just believe in the separation between church and state, they emphasize as dominant among their tenets, a belief in the separation between church and state
This is a very outstanding program. I will make sure to hit it again at least once a year. Dr. Desmond Ford was a man sent from God and his message and Ministry had blessed most of us. Praise the Lord for such a man!
Does the beautiful message of love proclaimed by Jesus Christ still guide his followers to the path of harmony & safety? Hi Peter, I was a high school student under the tuition your mum in year 7 back in mid 80's. I have very fond memories of her classes. I am keenly interested in the Ford saga currently and i want to thank you for your interest in putting this program online. I am not sure where I stand on Des ideas, however, i am absolutely convinced that Des was treated unfairly and not in a good Christian light. The heartbreak i feel for the way in which Des has been treated in all of this, its an absolute tragedy. I am humbled that Des managed to maintain his faith through all of this.

I'm an adventist, but when i heard my mom talked about EGW got a vison about jesus moved from one room to another, i thought to myself this is trying to find excuse for the missed prophecy.....and i was a teenager at that times.......and as i grew up i learnt about this investigative period i believed in this until my read the paul letters, and john's bible......all of this i learnt because in my small church i was asked to be sabbath school teacher....so i have to learn and study the bible so i can answer question not only from the people in my class but from me myself. Dan. 7:13 "I saw in the night vision, and, behold, one like the son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came" (not to the earth, but) "to the Ancient of Days, and they brought Him near before Him." Thanks to Mr Ford, a man who really follow the advice of the apostle Paul in 1 TH 5:21(test everything and keep what is good) The investigative judgment is not good and not scriptural....it is a false doctrine...a deception similar to the Sunday worship.

Why is it Adventists use the year day interpretation for the sanctuary doctrine but absolutely denounce similar interpretation of the genesis account. Every date given in scripture is literal.

If I am walking down the street in summer time and a women approaches me who is not covered up enough but it's walking in step with her to have a 2nd look is sin. @@SDAQandA here in USA the legal denomination for the SDA is General Conference Corporation of Seventh-Day Adventists. So it is a business, but own by the government since it is a 501C3 Nonprofit Organization which receives the benefits of the government for compilating to the rules of the state.
Unfortunately the are many things Dr Ford expresses in his exposition which are dangerously atheistic or evolutionist. I can't believe he doubts Genesis record of evening and day principle. If Genesis 1 and 2 do not present a 24 hours literal day then the 4th commandment of the Law of God is incoherent.
Wow, very good presentation. So many things could have been asked or followed up on. However, after listening to Mr Ford for myself I am convinced this man was out of touch with reality. He mentioned Pastor Burnside, one of the greatest Evangelists from the South Pacific who strongly disagreed with Ford's views to his face. There were also the Standish brothers and Pastor Kent all of whom, like Burnside saw through Ford's false and destructive teachings. Ford's view that creation week not being literal days is bizarre and everyone watching knows that's true.

And the audience was full of those who wanted to use Ellen whites writings to further dig negatively at Des Ford. So how apt for me to read a ‘thought’ from Ellen herself that counselled against that very kind of attack and called for divergent thinkers to debate in a kind and healthy fashion. You may not realise but the meeting did in fact start with prayer and a word from Gods holy book. We couldn’t fit the whole thing in due to time constraints so we Edited the video to get straight to the the topic. Yes dinsasaurs fits in the Bible! The Bible itself simply doesn't say how old the universe, or earth, is. But it does plainly say "In the beginning GOD created the heavens and earth." "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth". Genesis 1:1 "And there was war in heaven:" Revelation 12:7 "And the great dragon was FORCED DOWN, the old snake, who is named the Evil One and Satan, by whom all the earth is turned from the right way; he was FORCED DOWN to the earth, and his angels were forced down with him". Revelation 12:9 "An impact on earth millions years ago that caused the dinosaurs extinction(Alvarez theory). The Alvarez team went on to calculate the size of the assume asteroid. The answer was about 10 km (6.2 mi) in diameter, about the size of Manhattan. Such a large impact would have had approximately the energy of 100 trillion tons of TNT, or about 2 million times greater than the most powerful thermonuclear bomb ever tested. Lev 16:10 “But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.”, Rev 20:3 “And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.” The reasons: “to make atonement with him” is not the same as “that he should deceive the nations no more,” The places: “and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.” is not the same as “And cast him into the bottomless pit,” The word “bottomless” “abussos” G12, is found 9 times in the NT, not once in reference to the earth. If the anti-type for the scapegoat is to be found in Rev 20:3, why are the reasons and places not the same, because the anti-type is not in Rev 20:3. There is Biblical, and Ellen White support that the symbolism of Day of Atonement points to Jesus and the Jews as the “scapegoat”. In the past 2000 years, the Jewish people are in the “wilderness of the nations” and are the scapegoat. And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face. (Eze 20:35) S.D.A. theology is dynamic, static theology is darkness. Reasoning for Esau Jacob typology in Leviticus 16:5, (ram represents Isaac, see Gen 22:13). New Testament is the fulfilment of the Old Testament, Jesus and Christians can be found in the writings of the Old Testament, in Jewish tradition Esau represents Christians. “For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. (Joh 5:46)” And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner: This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? (Mar 12:10-11) But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will provoke you to jealousy by them that are no people, and by a foolish nation I will anger you. (Rom 10:19) Reasoning, based on Hebrew: Lev 16:5, “And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids H8163 of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering. “ the word “kids” above, in Hebrew, is H8163 “saw-eer” This word “saw-eer” H8163 is used in Genesis 27:11 And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy H8163 man, and I am a smooth man: (Gen 27:11) In this story Esau is “saw-eer” and Jacob becomes “saw-eer” when Rebekah places the skin of the kid of the goat on Jacob. “And she put the skins of the kids of the goats upon his hands, and upon the smooth of his neck: “ (Gen 27:16) Jacob is told to escape: “Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran;” (Gen 27:43) But the goat H8163, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness. (Lev 16:10) The word “scapegoat” is a combination of two Hebrew words: “aze” H5795 goat, and az-al' H235 to depart, we know this word as azazel. There is no support that azazel is a name of a demonic spirit, KJV correctly translates this word as goat of departure. In the Syriac Aramaic of the Peshitta Bible, the word Azazel is rendered Za-za-e'il (the strong one against/of God), as in Qumran fragment 4Q180 The name Israel given to Jacob in Gen 32:28 can be translated as “God fighter” , or as in the Peshitta “strong one against/of God.” “And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.” (Gen 32:28) There is more if you are interested. Daniel 8:13-14 is to read: “Perpetual Sabbath will return to the Law of the Sanctuary/Christian Church after 2300 days/years”.

"tamiyd" in verse 13 is perpetual, "kodesh" is Shabbat from the Hebrew root of that word in Genesis 2:3, "tsadaq" is restored to the Law. Therefore the correct interpretation of Daniel 8:13-14 is: Perpetual holy Sabbath will be restored to the Law of the Sanctuary the Christian Church. Hiram Edsons vision in the cornfield was also about the Sabbath, alluding to the statement of Jesus in the cornfield that He is Lord of the Sabbath. Daniel 8:13-14 was fulfilled in seed form in 1843 when Rachel Oaks, Frederic Wheeler, and Joseph Bates agreed on the truth of the Sabbath. Joseph Bates wrote a book "The Seventh Day Sabbath, a Perpetual Sign" where he states that the Sabbath needs to be restored.
Mr Ford, you can't just use the new testament for a doctrinal proof, where do you suppose Jesus and the disciples quoted, new testament? You must combine both as a continuation, there is no old and new by the way, this was coined much later. That's why there's nothing like a new testament Christian as I've seen them around, you must take the whole scriptures or non, otherwise; KJV Isaiah 8 20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. Hi Peter, I was a high school student under the tuition your mum in year 7 back in mid 80's. I have very fond memories of her classes. I am keenly interested in the Ford saga currently and i want to thank you for your interest in putting this program online. I am not sure where I stand on Des ideas, however, i am absolutely convinced that Des was treated unfairly and not in a good Christian light. The heartbreak i feel for the way in which Des has been treated in all of this, its an absolute tragedy. I am humbled that Des managed to maintain his faith through all of this.

I am convinced this man was out of touch with reality. He mentioned Pastor Burnside, one of the greatest Evangelists from the South Pacific
who strongly disagreed with Ford's views to his face. There were also the Standish brothers and Pastor Kent all of whom, like Burnside saw through Ford's false

The places:
“and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.” is not the same as “And cast him into the bottomless pit,”
The word “bottomless” “abussos” G12, is found 9 times in the NT, not once in reference to the earth.
If the anti-type for the scapegoat is to be found in Rev 20:3, why are the reasons and places not the same, because the anti-type is not in Rev 20:3.
There is Biblical, and Ellen White support that the symbolism of Day of Atonement points to Jesus and the Jews as the “scapegoat”.

There is no support that azazel is a name of a demonic spirit, KJV correctly translates this word as goat of departure.
In the Syriac Aramaic of the Peshitta Bible, the word Azazel is rendered Za-za-e'il (the strong one against/of God), as in Qumran fragment 4Q180
The name Israel given to Jacob in Gen 32:28 can be translated as “God fighter” , or as in the Peshitta “strong one against/of God.”

Daniel 8:13-14 prophecies the restoration of the 7th day Shabbat in the Christian Church,
The meaning of Dan 8:14 is: "...Shabbat will return to the Law of the Sanctuary"
Key words in Dan 8:13:14 are: " tamiyd", "tsadaq", "qodesh"
The word "qodesh" is derived from the root word "qadash" first used in Gen 2:3 in reference to sanctification of the 7th day rest.
The word "tamiyd" means perpetual, Shabbat as part of the Decalogue, is perpetual.
The word "tsadaq" means: to return, or to restore the legitimate Biblical Law, the Decalogue.
Fulfillment of Dan 8:14 began with the formation of the Seventh Day Adventist movement.
Vision in the cornfield given to Hiram Edson is also about Shabbat, see Mathew ch 12 where Jesus proclaims that He is Lord of Shabbat.
The significance of the Day of Atonement is the most influential idea given to Adventists, all of the present Adventist theology is based on the typology in Leviticus 16:5, as understood by the early Adventists.

Genesis ch 27 uses the same Hebrew words as found in Lev 16:5, Esau is a hairy/goat, and Jacob becomes a hairy/goat when Rebekah places the skin of the kid of the goat on Jacob.
Jacob escapes, becomes the scapegoat, when Jesus is sacrificed for the sins of humanity, the Jews become the scapegoat when Jesus is the goat sacrificed.
In this typology in the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur, we have represented Christians, Jews, and Jesus the Good Shepherd.
There are many other Biblical and historical proofs to substantiate the above.
This "new light" typology would make possible Christian Jewish reconciliation, one purpose the Seventh Day Adventist Movement was called to, the other purpose is to restore the Biblical Law the Decalogue in the Sanctuary the Christian Church.
