I had this conversation with a friend last year and I theorized Nobara could come back and do a resonance with the last finger but then he reminded me that the finger is immune to attacks like what Gojo demonstrated in the early chapter. And turns out, the solution was a freaking binding vow all along lmao
they are not immune, they are indestructible and what nobara did was she did not attack physically on finger but attack the soul of sukuna with resonance
@@SemekiIzuio and also she can maximize resonance power by making a binding vow to have 0 physical damage on finger and full soul damage. equavivalent exchange straight forward and simple but still people complain.

Todo should've join the fight earlier, Yuta should've switched earlier, Yuji should've used his domain earlier and now Nobara should've come back earlier
honestly, from what i’ve heard about gege’s thoughts about jujutsu kaisen in interviews, the dude’s probably just tryin to end the series as fast as possible so he can finally create somethin he wants without any of his editors breathin down his neck
@ben0789 its not about topping it, its about treating your next work with a lil more respect and not rushing it to its ending by ignoring plot points or taking advantage of vague shit with little to no explanation.
@@pluto9111 why would he write Yuta copying Cleave if it did basically nothing in the fight? To mislead readers to think the finger won't be used again? Why would he even had to mention it? The same way he kept Nobara out of the picture, he could have just pretend finger wouldn't appear in the story again. It makes no sense if it was his original plan. It only makes sense, if he had no plan for the finger, but didn't want it to be unresolved plot point. Only later he thought of using Nobara to end the fight and decided to retcon his previous use of the finger.
While having the question of Nobara's vague fate finally answered is great and her coming back is cool (eye patch and all) I have 2 big problems with how it was implemented: - Her disappearing for half the story just to be used as a plot device in the last 5 chapters is quite disappointing considering how much she could have been developed as a character instead of being left in the fridge for plot convenience while Yuji and Megumi got all the plot development and relevance all to themselves - She being in a coma all this time just to conveniently wake up at the perfect time to be used as a plot device is an extremely lazy excuse on Gege's part, especially when you compare it to how well done Todo's return was.
I'd argue Todo's return wasn't well done either. Gege doesn't have any excuse for sidelining him for so long without any updates until he actually shows up so close towards the finish line.
People ( Chibi included ) calling Gege a genious is bit exaggerated… This last arc has really uncovered a lot Of his fallencies as a writer, especially if we compared it to the beginning of the story
Her status was always "unknown" which to me was really weird considering that Gege doesn't shy away when it comes to character deaths, as far as I know she was the only character whose official status was never confirmed so that was my hope for her coming back.
@@shinkenji5885 The thing that make me don't like about Nobara return is they make everyone sacrifice and fight become underwhelming. So we just need to stall Sukuna long enough to Nobara to wake up. It not even a plan at all
@@Jame-zz4tu no bro sukuna is so strong that the whole jjk verse had to weaken help, this only affects him because he has been beaten down by the whole verse if they tried this earlier it would not go in there favor
I seriously Mappa gives Jujutsu Kaisen some extra treatment storywize for JJK at the end like Thousand Year Old Blood War is getting, making it a lot better then the manga.... As you said, it will be a tonal whiplash to see her comeback in like the last episode. Hell, just show that she is lying in a bed in a comastate under the culling games or something so people know that she is not completely dead I don't know... But yeah, I love Nobara, but this is WAAAAY to late
@@NeoZero369 Because, as Chibbi said, she comes back out of nowhere. The only time she gets mentioned after her "death" is when Yuiji talks with Sukuna in the previous chapter. This is why It would be for the better if they gave us the "confirmation" that she was in critical condition, but there was hope that she would survive. If that had been the cause in the manga... while there would still be complaints about fridging and timing for obvious reasons, at least the "came out of nowhere" would not be a thing.
The saddest part about this is anime only JJK fans will not know she is alive until the last episode of JJK. That is like 5-6 years right there which sucks for the JJK community.
I agree with you on this one. I think its another piece supporting how Gege is a poor writer. He flips flops on so many concepts he introduce and has been terrible at writing characters. He did great setting up the world but I felt he wrote himself in hole and did not have the creative drive to write himself out of it. It felt that he was mentally done with the series after the Shibuya Arc
I just saw this as Yuji being pessimistic (well it's not like he had the cog mentality to begin with) about most things including Nobara's state. Though I agree Gege could do things a little better (Sukuna's consecutive binding vows seemed quite childish to me)
This was planned from the beginning if you were paying attention. The story is mostly experienced from Yujis perspective and Nobaras fate was specifically hidden from Yuji because of his resonance with Sukuna.
@@josecavazos6138 so what just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean it’s bad writing Gege left it open, ended on purpose and set himself up for success there’s no red herrings for nobaras come back nor does it break the power system or is it a plot hole at the most it’s lucky but as I said Gege always planned for it to go down like this and so he’s earned this outcome if he didn’t plan nobaras come back, then it would be bad writing

I think thats a great thing to note that how when it gets animated, shes just gonna be randomly showing up at like the second to final episode lol. Puts into perspective as to how fucking weird it is to bring her back now To those who may forget, a seasonal anime like JJK usually adapts like 4 chapters an episode. So yeah its very VERY likely that Nobara’s return will happen in the episode before the final episode of JJK. Thats….insane. Like really imagine being an anime only and experiencing that. Like I think the anime reactions to her return will be VERY different from the manga reactions. For us, we’ll be sitting with this reveal for the next 4 weeks. For anime only’s, they’ll have it revealed and then boom next week the series is over lol. Its gonna highlight even more as to how….out of nowhere this choice is lol.
I feel like alot of people defending this choice must not consume alot of literature or stories…or just will not critically this story because in any other series this decision would have been met with the craziest hate and Mickey Mouse claims. Again, really think about this, Nobara has been gone for basically half of the story and then just randomly shows up 4 weeks before the series ends. In anime format, that is more than likely the episode before the final one. Do yall not see the issue here lol? Its not that Nobara being alive is an issue. Gege made it ambiguous as to whether or not she was alive (though in outside interviews he would all but say she died). The issue is that she has been absent literally for most of the story and then boom shows up in the last 5 chapters. I legit don’t get how so many people are not seeing the problem in the writing here. And if you’re defense is “ah but in the story shes been gone for a couple of months” I need you to understand that doesn’t mean anything lol. One Piece’s arcs past the timeskip all take place within a couple months. In universe time matters not, its how long you are gone from the narrative itself. In universe time only matters when you’re trying to explain maybe why a character is still acting a certain way after a bunch of chapters. Thats when you go “oh well its only been like a week in universe”. Its not a defense for why a character is absent from the half story only to bring her back in the final 5 chapters
@@STGAoehonestly I just presume a majority of Jjk fans are incapable of criticizing anything of geges work or come up with the most stupid criticisms possible.
@STGAoe This is unfortunately an issue that persists throughout the entire Shinjuku Showdown. We have so much happening from chapter to chapter that when it gets adapted, it's gonna be over stimulating. Characters die or come in, and then we just move on like nothing happened. Were potentially gonna get Todo, Choso's death, and Yujo all in one episode.
Honestly, I think people don't realize that once Sukuna is defeated there would be no story to tell. Once he dies there will be no real plot device to explore the Heian era. Yuji is strong enough to crush most cursed spirits, Maki and Hakari can also take care of special grade threats. Tsumiki is dead, the Zenin clan was destroyed and the Kamo clan was taken over, so there is no political party in jjk that can act like a new antagonist. (Megumi has no reason to keep being a sorcerer) Uraume is pretty much dead since he will get jumped by the whole gang now. The culling games will finish with no merger happening, thus millions of people will be saved. Righ now, the only way to keep the story going is to write about the backlash from the culing games and the exposition of Jujutsu to the rest of the world. In essence, if Gege wanted to expand his story more than this he would have done so before the Shinjuku showdown.
@@Sntra101 Not really. Bad writing would be to make illogical twists that aren't justified in any way for plot convenience. Gege has been quite consistent throughout the story, it just that he didn't want to expand in the lore of JJK. The story is finishing well, all the antagonists have been defeated, the main world ending threat avoided and the MC crew grew to take the place of the previous generation. Wasted potential? Maybe, it depends on who you ask (I, for example, would have liked an arc focused in the heian era and another in clan politics). Bad writing? No, making twists that can be properly justified based on what has previously been established and hinted is not bad writing.
@@germangallardo7732 Consistently using "Binding Vows" as a way to explain why Characters can just go against the abilities that are pre established in the story. Binding Vows literally create a way to bad writing to be "Justified" there are so many things in the Shinjuku showdown that are straight up ass pulls and are justified with "Binding vows"
@@snuggs5714 The main problem with the binding vow situation is that we, the readers, aren't given the information about what did Sukuna exchange for the benefits of the vow. The only one we got to know was the major one, aka the world cutting dismantle, the rest of Sukuna's restrictions remain a mystery. But every other vow has been explained, either explicitly by a character or implicitly (like the soul dismantle that I, at least, understood as losing the range of dismantle for greater precision against souls)
Idk it’s been teased this entire time. The fight idk is finally ending after an entire fucking year. Oh she also has a soul CT that would help in the fight. If you actually read you’d probs not cry
Her coming back so late makes it seem like she's an asspull and that's what it is. She's an asspull. Should've kept her dead or introduce her back into the story a whole lot sooner. Though this whole fight feels like both sides are just doing nothing but asspulls so I expect something crazy to happen again next chapter. This is worse than O' MY RUBBER NEN.
Nobara coming back was very much expected with all them theorys coming around and that one music video giving heavy foreshadowing bout her hitting sukuna It was gonna happen, all that leaves now is gojo losing an eye which will yuta related
JJK has been a laughing stock for months in the Chinese community now People are calling it the "water dumpling fights", characters fight Sukuna one at a time, and get their ass kicked one at a time, just like how you're supposed to drop the dumplings into the pot one at a time
Nobara is one of my favorite characters in JJK, but I am not happy with this outcome because she literally got sidelined for over 140 chapters with no one mention her name. She only had two arcs during the whole series. People are saying the trio are reunited and I'm like when was Yuji, Megumi and Nobara were a team together the past 100 chapters. Yes, I understand there were hints, but it is still poorly written. Imagine if JJK was going for over 800 chapters then Nobara show up being alive after being absent for over 530 chapters I am not going to be excited for that. Most JJK fans care about fanservice than good writing because this feels so forced right now.
@@pluto9111He had an issue with the way a character was used in the series so you tell him he should drop it? What kind of ridiculous reasoning is that? Did he state that he hated the series as a whole? And what does his reasoning for reading the series have to do with his point, he explained his point and it made sense, whatever reason he gives for why he reads the series does NOT change that. You come off as very defensive here, except without actually defending anything since you didn’t give a counter-argument.
@@lordagentm3211 I think what we’re arguing is just a matter of opinions this is not bad writing and I’ll explain why 1. it was blatantly obvious the author kept nobaras death ambiguous on purpose. It was never confirmed and there’s multiple points in the manga where this very comeback is foreshadowed. So within itself because it was planned and there’s multiple instance of it being foreshadowed, it’s not bad writing for her to come back in general, so immediately that argument is invalid to me 2. this would be bad writing if it wasn’t planned, but it’s not and there’s proof if you go back and reread nobaras death chapter after she “dies” Nitta the medic dude with the white gloves essentially put Nobara in stasis; that is such a specific scene where as an author it’s pretty obvious he’s setting up something. Gege wrote a specific character with a specific power system that would keep Nobara alive and he verbatim tells Yuji “don’t lose hope, it’s not a 0% chance, she still might live, but it looks like she’s dead, but don’t lose hope OK , there’s still a chance.” And that’s just one scene for shadowing her comeback, there’s actually more later on in the manga. why do you think an author would do that? It’s almost like it’s planned 🤯✍️ so the argument and calling it bad writing because it wasn’t planned immediately also invalid 3. the other argument, I see a lot is how convenient it is, which makes it bad writing, which is it convenient yes, but this was planned from the beginning and regardless of it being convenient or not, it’s not a plot hole. It doesn’t break the power system there’s no red herrings with this chapter, is it lucky for our heroes yes, but Gege planned it so he earned this outcome. To call it bad writing is purely an opinionated when it comes to the conveniency of the comeback, at the most, it’s lucky but it’s not a plot hole. The comeback is supposed to be shocking and a misdirect which if you don’t like that, I guess that’s valid that’s an opinion, but it’s not bad writing in general. So the “convenient argument” of the come back being bad writing again immediately invalid. 4. And lastly, for my own opinion, we’ve been watching our heroes get their ass kicked and die for over a year now finally when the author throws us a bone, everyone starts throwing a bitch fit if you’re going to be a hater for the final four chapters, you should drop the series. I’m not saying that specifically what you’re doing, but that goes for anyone who’s unironically spreading toxic hate. Just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean it’s poorly written. The story itself could be objectively perfect and you could still think it’s a zero out of 10 because you don’t like what transpired. Bad writing is something that is objectively proven either by plot holes, red herrings, etc.. every comment I see is purely an opinion and cannot give an actual reason why it’s bad writing. This fandom does not deserve Gege and this amazing story he has drawn and written for us, we take everything he has done for granted if you’re not a real fan of his just leave bro let us enjoy our last four chapters like damn. Thanks for coming to my TED talk of why this chapter is a fucking perfect 10 out of 10 amazingly written comeback for a character
Seriously I think this twist feels annoying because we wanted Nobara to live because she was such a great character and had massive potential, but instead she came back as a very last minute plot device. I mean I am glad she is alive the fact she has been assumed dead and we have had basically no build up towards this is weird
As an anime only, I have no idea whats been going on in Kenjaku's plans or anything like that, but to know that the series ends in 5 chapters, and Nobara comes back 5 chapters from that end is terrible. Her entire potential, character growth, impact, hype, etc. Was snubbed in Shibuya for no reason, and I don't get why she should be now treated as the last minute "I'm the only one who can do it" character for whatever is happening in the Manga. She was set-up to grow like Yuji as a student, yet treated like Todo, and I just don't get it (I hope they didn't do the same to Todo and he regrows his arm or smth)
Honestly it made sense why she came back to deliver an attack on Sukuna that really stunned him for as her CT was very effective on an opponent like Sukuna given his current state but I do agree she should have came in sooner. One could counter that argument with where the last finger was located as they figured the location was a stairwell in a hydroelectric plant 3 hours from Shinjuku so logistically speaking it makes sense why Nobara showed up late given Utahime and Gakuganju where at Shinjuku to kick off Gojo vs Sukuna and then went to the power plant after Gojo lost and picked up Nobara along the way and who knows if she just woken up and was told what was happening and she jumped in to help out. While Nobara'a state wasn't specifically mentioned it was hinted at in the story with mentions of soul attacks and soul resonance (Nobara's main attack) throughout the fight with Sukuna and Yuji and when Todo returned it was a certainty she would be back.
i don't like it , i also don't like how jjk ends in 5 chapter, it's giga rushed and just feels bad overall, how sukuna is defeated as well just feels very underwhelming
honestly i staright up dont understand people that love this twist or even love nobaraXD i mean the fuck did she do for yall to be so hyped and happy by her comeback? i mean i get that she was a good character but cmon man out off all the cooler shocking and interesting things that could have happaned at the end nobara coming back with a cliche eye pach is not one of them for sure. still hoping gege pulls hig biggest troll in the next chapter and kills everyone via merger or sukuna to save this marvel like ending
When you give up all hope of Gege writing well by this point, you accept whatever hype he creates as the best shit ever. Yuji's smile did it for me, he needs this victory lap to rub it in Sukuna's face.
The only hype she gets stems from her not being Sakura. The anime/manga fans see a female character that isn't in love, has a tomboyish to bitch attitude, one decent fight scene and thinks shes the best thing since sliced bread. She got some drive to her and a cool technique, but the over hype she gets is unnecessary
To me its a bit annoying gege tried to paly it out like she was dead for so long after setting up that she could be brought back because of that guys curse technique, felt kind disrespectful but oh well.
This is Team 7 level reunion boys. After being gone for 1300+ days, it did make my belief that she was alive waiver with only 5 chapters left to go lmao.
I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to all Nobara fans: I heard so many theories last year on Nobara coming back to use her technique on Sukuna's last finger, but I chalked it all up to copium
few days ago, i was talking to one of my friends who's anime only, and i asked : did you get anything spoiled about what's to come in the anime ? he told me no i was more impressed than anything tbh
Ahh yes the "what Sakura should have been" character is back for the final few chapters to do absolutely nothing at all. Can't really understand whats the point of this.
@ashtonderojas821 So she was sidelined for over half the series, and then her whole character got reduced to a plot device/ a hype moment when she came back. Were literally at the finish line and she's only NOW coming back
Nobara was taken out by Mahito in chapter 125, so it's been 142 chapters since then. She's basically been MIA presumed dead for over half the story. While my heart is doing cartwheels and I'm absolutely over the moon for my original Best Girl to be back, my mind and logical side of me is laughing my arse off that Gege would decide to bring her back at the last minute. There were several times you could've brought her back. She could've returned at the end of Shibuya, when the Culling Games started, when Sukuna took over Megumi, and after Gojo died. I'll take it, but writing wise, this could've happened months if not over a year ago.
No, this was planned from the beginning. If you payed attention he was basically telling us that she would make a comeback. Notice how Yuji never got a straight answer whenever he asked if Nobara survived EDIT: The plan was to internationally keep her survival hidden from Yuji because of his resonance with Sukuna. Anything he experiences Sukuna knows about so that would have completely foiled her surprise attack. This whole time Sukuna thought Yuta ate his finger to get cleave but it turns out Rika actually ate Itadoris finger since Sukunas technique is ingrained into Yujis body so this was a fake out by Yuta to set up his downfall. To me, this great writing!
Dawg when this series ends it's gonna get hit with the craziest wave of "This series fucking sucks actually lol" from anime fans harder than naruto ever did and im ready for it😂
It's already happening, but yeah, once the anime ends, people will turn on this series hard. Doesn't matter how good the animation is. You can see it happening with Demon Slayer right now.
@@sonicwithglasses131 It's never been good, but people were initially blinded by the insane animation. We can see that's starting to wear off in these last 2 seasons.
I don't see why people have a problem with this? Her condition was left vague on purpose, so that Gege could always have her as an ace up his sleep. It's called not writing yourself into a corner. People acting like they knew for a fact she was dead and Gege resurrected her and broke his own rules 🙄 Moreover, it's implied that other characters knew of her condition but kept it a secret from Yuji so as not to compromise their strategy. A strategy which they had a whole ass month to prepare, btw. And do we know everything they did during the time skip? NO. So that Nobara was incorporated into their strategy as a contingency is well within the range of possibility and believability. Also, Gege brought back Miguel and LaRue of all people and folks were surprised but ultimately okay with it. And only one of those two even did anything relevant. But all of a sudden Nobara is where we wanna draw the line? The fvck? 🤨 And I bet if Gege had ended the series without addressing Nobara's fate, you'd be the same mfers whining about how he did her dirty. But he brought her back AND made her relevant, right at a crucial moment, when the MC needed her, and _that's_ what you're gonna complain about? Smh Sukuna gets chapters upon chapters of plot armour, but Gege gives Nobara a little moment in the spotlight after depriving her for so long, and _now_ we have a problem. Smh Y'all don't deserve good stories. On God. Because it's damned if you do, damned if you don't when it comes to writing for you people. And for the record, I'm not a Nobara fan. My favourite character is Sukuna. But I believe people should be fair in their criticism, and that's not what I'm seeing in the fandom right now

Honestly even though it is sort of whiplash for readers it does kinda make sense for the manga since it’s been like three months since she “died” (in the manga’s time not ours) although still unsure how I feel about it
It was obvious she was coming back. I’ve been saying this for a long time. Gege ALWAYS dodged around the question if she was alive whenever it was mentioned in the story. She was not shown in the airport scene with Gojo and everyone else he held close to him that has died. I agree with Chibi that Gege should have done something more with this character. However that’s where Gege falls short as a writer. He put a lot of really good ideas and doesn’t flush them out (war segment, “the fallen” + angels, Heian Era, Tengen (only shows her in a sketch how she looks like back then), never showing other Gojo members, ect… I could go on. 4 more chapters clearly isn’t enough, but it seems like Gege just wants to get this story over and move onto his next manga he’s mentioned.
I'm going to be completely honest. When I saw what happened to Nobara, I stopped watching the anime. I didn't even want to go on reading the manga. I put the whole thing on hold. Now that I know. I'm once again prepared to continue my JJK journey.
I feel like Gege's health might be a factor here, which is why things seem rushed. Otherwise, another 10-15 chapters would probably have given Jujutsu Kaisen a more satisfying closure.

If only Akutami would’ve at least decided to expand out more chapters like 10 or 15 in order to have Nobara come back, defeat Sukuna once and for all and do some slice of life chapters for a happy ending. That’s how I would’ve done if I were in Akutami’s shoes. Then maybe this whole thing with ending in 5 chapters wouldn’t have been in issue.
From all of the deaths of jjk, i always thought that Nobara's death was the most weird one. That's why i always believed she was alive. Why would you give that hope that "she is in a kinda stasis but don't get your hopes up", and then death off screen? Isn't that way too weird even for jjk?
I swear, Gege lost the plot long ago making Gojo die for no reason. My dude had such a tunnel vision of just killing him off, made writing Sukuna SO hard since he just offscreen differ the most powerful dude we know. Feels like the last year has just been a scramble and finally shounen jump told him to end it and its just a shitshow now. I 100% agree with your take. This 5 chapter left BS is ridiculous. There was ALREADY so much left to answer before Nobara even came back.
@NeoZero369 you really read my comment and thought "he doesn't want Gojo to die". I said he died for No Reason. Want to know how to do a op character death well? Look at Yamamoto from bleach. You gonna tell me offscreening Gojo and almost offscreening Kenjaku is good writing?
So she gets to live with some dumb explanation but Kashimo had to be offed smh? I would've gladly preferred Nobara being present for most of the series over Maki but at least give a proper explanation. We know the ending's gonna be rushed to hell but with how it's going, it seems like this fight will end the manga and there won't even be an any actual conclusion.
They did leave it ambiguous, she could come back at any moment when she was most needed for the plot. But I do agree that with 5 chapters left is crazy.
@@rodrigop2198 I don't know wtf is wrong with Gege. Just put the manga on hiatus if u don't even give a shit about anymore. Y ruin the story by rushing it?

While im not caught up and I feel bad for people who got spoiled. Personally I'm not even upset. For me, a story is best told when even if you know the twist the author is able to do the build up and execution correctly. I mean I got spoiled stuff from deep in one piece but that never stoped me wanting to see how the author got there and did it. Thats my view
Yeah, but them killing characters for shock value is why the series is mid to me. Them bringing back characters is undoing all that edgy cringe “I’m 14 & this is deep” writing & progression that Gege was so obsessed with. It was always Shonen by being cringey edge.
I remember seeing a poll not too long ago asking how people would feel about bringing her back to life. I was shocked to see how many fans were on board with the idea; something like 65% of people supported it. I wanted Nobara to stay dead. Yes, I really liked their character and thought they were underutilized b4 they died, but that's what made her death so shocking and impactful. I thought JJK was the manga that gave deaths real weight and meaning and helped stop the constant use of fake-out deaths in Shonen manga. I guess I was wrong. This was still an amazing chapter that potentially ended the fight once and for all. I was just a bit disappointed regarding how they handled her character.
It might be a bit short sighted but I like how he subverted expectations not perfect but pretty cool The only issue I have with it is her waking up litteraly half an hour or something before that seems a little too well timed hopefully it’s atleast explained in a way that’s believable
i think seriously at this point gege should just start to plan for a part two. that would make nobara's last minute return make sense and still answer a bunch of questions and finally wrap up the story. the choice to make the story last only four more chapters is kind of wild imo
Honestly even though it is sort of whiplash for readers it does kinda make sense for the manga since it’s been like three months since she “died” although still unsure how I feel about it
I have a feeling Jujutsu Kaisen is gonna get a Part 2 like Chainsaw Man. That's the major announcement Gege Sensei is waiting to make I suppose. Well, let's see what he brings up!
I like to criticise works but sometimes we should stop putting ourselves in the author's head and just accept the story as it is. Or write your own manga
Nobara's entry back into the story just makes complete sense to me regardless whether people like it or not. Because one- her death was never explicitly stated, only hinted at what could be the possibility of her status. And two, for the people who keep suggesting she should have come in earlier, don't forget, literally everyone's either dead or leveled up since the Shibuya arc. She would have only been killed with everything going on. Plus with the way her power affects the soul directly, its the perfect combination to Yuji's power against Sukuna.
in recent years ive taken a stance towards preferring "dead" characters to stay dead. i wont metion another series but you can guess which one or ones. Because its like, i shed a tear for you and the development for both story and the MC or characters affected by the death shouldnt just be ignored or kinda reverted because the presumed dead character is back just like that
She was away half a story just to return in the very end. And I am not sure it is a good idea. I would prefer her being dead. If revive her do it earlier....
Yuji could still probably die because the only real solution killing sukuna is the vessel die with sukuna which would either be megumi or if yuji eats last finger and separate megumi and sukuna. It does feel Shonen jump or an editor has intervene to end it a certain way though. I don’t really have a problem with it since bunch of others characters have died like choso, higuruma and gojo
Personally it was obviously that she would be back💀 LITTRALLY the chapter after her eye got blown out we where told its possible that she could be saved ...... and obviously that wont have been in the story just for her to never come back Also people complain that she has been gone for yrs but they seem to forget it has only been 2 months in the manga not yrs
Yeah, I might sound pretentious but this was so obvious to me that she would come back. Also I am surprised that so many people are shocked at how fast this is all happening when Gege's pacing has always been lightning quick.
Idk bringing back a character that’s been MIA for years for the last 5 chapters out of literally nowhere sounds like an asspull to me. Would make more sense if this happened way sooner
I agree with the both of you, some are upset at Nobara when in truth what they are mad about is the 5 chapter announcement. If the announcement of the end wasnt said I gurantee Nobara comeback would have been easier to process. But rn people are clouded and freaked out JJK is ending very soon and taking it out on Nobara plot twist when there was a lot of logic the possibility of her return. Like dont people read manga? If the body was never shown dead to us then the possibility of a return would always be present
in our perspective its a long time but besed on the story its only a couple of weeks or longer. so for me its not a big issue for her return and i can get if you have that kind of injury its no some dragon ball stuff that just eat a senzu bean. gege is just realistic on thier timeline and not based on our time of reading
All i wanted aside from Megumis puddle assist, was Yuji to 1 v 1 sukuna until the end......and get insight on his damn domain. But at least divergent fist made a return. Not sure if his dismantle or the divergent is his sure hit
I dropped the manga because i got sick of the writing but i think its fair to say that with how many people have complained about the doom n gloom bringing her back like 4 chapters before the end seems like an ass pull n not what was planned
being a nobara fan i am glad she is back. my inner fanboy of nobara is happy. i am also an anime only but i don’t care for spoilers. i’m glad she’s back.
Reading the title of today’s video, I already agree. I would’ve personally thought it would be cool if her hammer had turned into a CT rather than her to actually come back…. I do like the OPP reference though 😭
JJK anime only here, I just kinda gave up avoiding spoilers with JJK since the KitKat event, it’s basically impossible to hide from as long as you’re on the internet lol
I used to get really excited for spoilers/leaks a long time ago. Nowadays, I hate them with a passion and avoid them like the plague if I'm still actively into the series, as it just kills all my motivation to finish watching/reading a show, movie, book, manga...etc, whenever a character dies off. It sucks even more as an anime-only watcher. I get that people get excited for their oshi or favorite series, but it really ruins it for the lot of us. That being said...Yuji came back after dying by getting his beating heart literally ripped out...That was okay because it was early on. And a few people IRL _have_ survived Nobara's eye/brain peircing injuries before...so anything was possible. The part that gets me was not having her back sooner. I may not have dropped the series if it weren't going to end in less than 5 chapters. Give us another 100 chapters, maybe half or a quarter of that, and then this will be far more satisfying, despite so many other character deaths. Maybe a few epilogue chapters too.
It was a horrible decision to bring her back at the very end. Slap in the face (no pun intended) to JJK fans. You leave the main heroine’s alive or dead status up to debate for basically 100 chapters and then decide to bring her back during the last five?
I had this conversation with a friend last year and I theorized Nobara could come back and do a resonance with the last finger but then he reminded me that the finger is immune to attacks like what Gojo demonstrated in the early chapter. And turns out, the solution was a freaking binding vow all along lmao
This final arc really shows how insane binding vows are and I love it
they are not immune, they are indestructible and what nobara did was she did not attack physically on finger but attack the soul of sukuna with resonance
People dont seem to comprehend, _she is not destroying the finger_
The BV was simply allowing for her soul resonance to pierce it with Curse Energy
Binding vow is basically the asspull of JJK

While having the question of Nobara's vague fate finally answered is great and her coming back is cool (eye patch and all) I have 2 big problems with how it was implemented:
- Her disappearing for half the story just to be used as a plot device in the last 5 chapters is quite disappointing considering how much she could have been developed as a character instead of being left in the fridge for plot convenience while Yuji and Megumi got all the plot development and relevance all to themselves
- She being in a coma all this time just to conveniently wake up at the perfect time to be used as a plot device is an extremely lazy excuse on Gege's part, especially when you compare it to how well done Todo's return was.
I'd argue Todo's return wasn't well done either. Gege doesn't have any excuse for sidelining him for so long without any updates until he actually shows up so close towards the finish line.

nobara would probably come back alive in the second last episode of the anime jjk part 1
Mappa ain't peiriot
@@NeoZero369 Because, as Chibbi said, she comes back out of nowhere. The only time she gets mentioned after her "death" is when Yuiji talks with Sukuna in the previous chapter.

I think thats a great thing to note that how when it gets animated, shes just gonna be randomly showing up at like the second to final episode lol. Puts into perspective as to how fucking weird it is to bring her back now
To those who may forget, a seasonal anime like JJK usually adapts like 4 chapters an episode.

(Megumi has no reason to keep being a sorcerer)
Uraume is pretty much dead since he will get jumped by the whole gang now.
The culling games will finish with no merger happening, thus millions of people will be saved.
Righ now, the only way to keep the story going is to write about the backlash from the culing games and the exposition of Jujutsu to the rest of the world.
In essence, if Gege wanted to expand his story more than this he would have done so before the Shinjuku showdown.
which is why its bad writing

@@lordagentm3211 I think what we’re arguing is just a matter of opinions this is not bad writing and I’ll explain why
1. it was blatantly obvious the author kept nobaras death ambiguous on purpose. It was never confirmed and there’s multiple points in the manga where this very comeback is foreshadowed. So within itself because it was planned and there’s multiple instance of it being foreshadowed, it’s not bad writing for her to come back in general, so immediately that argument is invalid to me
2. this would be bad writing if it wasn’t planned, but it’s not and there’s proof if you go back and reread nobaras death chapter after she “dies” Nitta the medic dude with the white gloves essentially put Nobara in stasis; that is such a specific scene where as an author it’s pretty obvious he’s setting up something.
It’s almost like it’s planned 🤯✍️ so the argument and calling it bad writing because it wasn’t planned immediately also invalid
3. the other argument, I see a lot is how convenient it is, which makes it bad writing, which is it convenient yes, but this was planned from the beginning and regardless of it being convenient or not, it’s not a plot hole.

She was set-up to grow like Yuji as a student, yet treated like Todo, and I just don't get it (I hope they didn't do the same to Todo and he regrows his arm or smth)
most jjk fans have no idea what kenjaku was doing
The real plot twist was the heavenly vow we made on the way
Honestly it made sense why she came back to deliver an attack on Sukuna that really stunned him for as her CT was very effective on an opponent like Sukuna given his current state but I do agree she should have came in sooner.
As an anime-only I can say that I can probably write the full manga with the amount of spoilers there have been throughout the last year for this.

It didn't feel planned at all Gege folded under press 😂
Fuck shonen jump
Nobara coming back is definitely fan service
you quit sound biase but explain.
No, this was planned from the beginning. If you payed attention he was basically telling us that she would make a comeback. Notice how Yuji never got a straight answer whenever he asked if Nobara survived
EDIT: The plan was to internationally keep her survival hidden from Yuji because of his resonance with Sukuna.
Nah I wouldn't go that far. Sukuna is enough fanservice lmao
Did you even read the leaks
Fan service: giving the fans what they want.
Gege knows Nobara is a fan favorite and they want to see her back (whether it's planned or not).

@@blackmanwithcomputer but demon slayer isnt really good tbh
@@sonicwithglasses131 It's never been good, but people were initially blinded by the insane animation. We can see that's starting to wear off in these last 2 seasons.
thank god mappa giving all their budget to csm instead of jjk
I don't see why people have a problem with this? Her condition was left vague on purpose, so that Gege could always have her as an ace up his sleep. It's called not writing yourself into a corner. People acting like they knew for a fact she was dead and Gege resurrected her and broke his own rules 🙄
Moreover, it's implied that other characters knew of her condition but kept it a secret from Yuji so as not to compromise their strategy.
The fvck? 🤨
And I bet if Gege had ended the series without addressing Nobara's fate, you'd be the same mfers whining about how he did her dirty. But he brought her back AND made her relevant, right at a crucial moment, when the MC needed her, and _that's_ what you're gonna complain about? Smh
Sukuna gets chapters upon chapters of plot armour, but Gege gives Nobara a little moment in the spotlight after depriving her for so long, and _now_ we have a problem. Smh
Y'all don't deserve good stories. On God. Because it's damned if you do, damned if you don't when it comes to writing for you people.
And for the record, I'm not a Nobara fan. My favourite character is Sukuna. But I believe people should be fair in their criticism, and that's not what I'm seeing in the fandom right now
I mostly agree with you & most figured something like this may happen. My biggest issue is why couldn’t this be done while Gojo was fighting? Seems weird to wait till now.

I'm a believer of equivalent exchange, so if Megumi dies then all is right with the world
Honestly even though it is sort of whiplash for readers it does kinda make sense for the manga since it’s been like three months since she “died” (in the manga’s time not ours) although still unsure how I feel about it
It’s been even less then three months. It less than two months after she “died”
Fans: I thought you were DEAD
Nobara: rumours of my death were......greatly EXAGERRATED
Now I’m wondering why Yuta didn’t copy Nobara’s technique for free hits.
He’d have to eat a coma ridden girl, he’s only a monster if he has consent.
What part of Nobara is she giving up in a coma for him to eat and for nobody to heal??
Shhh , dont question gege writing
I'm going to be completely honest. When I saw what happened to Nobara, I stopped watching the anime. I didn't even want to go on reading the manga. I put the whole thing on hold.

I think it’s the main factor as well as stress from shonen jump.
On the flip side one piece is on a streak of great chapters

She technically didn’t die and the healer with reverse curse technique could have made her come back … but it should’ve take her a week to recover not such a long time.. so this rug pull suks
I'm honestly happy Nobara is back
Knowing GEGE, she'll probably be killed off [again] just for more shock value.

I knew she'd be back from the second, when Todo's friend told Yuji that he used his technique on Nobara as well.
I agree that it sucks she returned this late, or maybe that she got "killed off" at all.
Lets be real, we all have been waiting for this video all day LMAO
Thank you for not putting any spoilers in the thumbnail!
Yeah, but them killing characters for shock value is why the series is mid to me. Them bringing back characters is undoing all that edgy cringe “I’m 14 & this is deep” writing & progression that Gege was so obsessed with. It was always Shonen by being cringey edge.
I still don't know what kenjaku's plans are?
No one should like the return of "Sakura" right before the finale "episode" after she was out more than half of "story"!
It might be a bit short sighted but I like how he subverted expectations not perfect but pretty cool
The only issue I have with it is her waking up litteraly half an hour or something before that seems a little too well timed hopefully it’s atleast explained in a way that’s believable
i think seriously at this point gege should just start to plan for a part two. that would make nobara's last minute return make sense and still answer a bunch of questions and finally wrap up the story. the choice to make the story last only four more chapters is kind of wild imo
Gege have said that they want to do a idol manga after this, so if there will be a "Shippuden/Z/Boruto" for this, it will be done by someone else.
@@isakwolff5491 so be it lol there's just too much to be done in 4 chapters

I like to criticise works but sometimes we should stop putting ourselves in the author's head and just accept the story as it is. Or write your own manga
For people curious about how long Nobara's been missing. It's been 4 years since Nobara died. The chapter she died in was released back in like 2020.
Nobura coming back was a beautiful silver lining in the stormy shitclouds that had been Yuji's life for a long time now
Nobara's entry back into the story just makes complete sense to me regardless whether people like it or not.
Personally it was obviously that she would be back💀 LITTRALLY the chapter after her eye got blown out we where told its possible that she could be saved ...... and obviously that wont have been in the story just for her to never come back
Also people complain that she has been gone for yrs but they seem to forget it has only been 2 months in the manga not yrs
@@SemekiIzuio I think your right about the 5 chapter thing, I think there are a lot of things that people wanted to happen that probably won't.

Chibi hates this but loves MHA ending lol what
in our perspective its a long time but besed on the story its only a couple of weeks or longer. so for me its not a big issue for her return and i can get if you have that kind of injury its no some dragon ball stuff that just eat a senzu bean. gege is just realistic on thier timeline and not based on our time of reading
Even if Megumi and Nobara survives it’s still bittersweet, literally almost everyone else is dead..

I bingeread a hundred chapters to catch up with JJK after the news it is ending. And so now I'm here 😂
Reading the title of today’s video, I already agree. I would’ve personally thought it would be cool if her hammer had turned into a CT rather than her to actually come back…. I do like the OPP reference though 😭
At this point I can predict that Gojo will somehow revive next chapter
Chibi is Foaming from the mouth and cheering
