Kinda sad that the Pillowtown vs Blanketsburg episode didn't make the top 10. That episode really shows how much Community can do when it's forced to use so little. Also, they absolutely nailed the PBS documentary style for the episode. And the bit about the confusing battleground names is top tier.
I’m surprised the Contemporary American Poultry didn’t make it on here, despite being mentioned several times. It sets up Troy’s monkey for one of the show’s best episodes, it allows Abed to leave his scope for even just a moment, showing that he wants to connect with people even more than he lets on, and the one to pull him out of his delusion is Jeff, the person that he had the best relationship. I do love the My Dinner with Andre Dinner with Abed Episode, but this is the one I CONSISTENTLY rewatch. On top of that, it has really solid jokes and even perfect character moments, like Pierce not allowing Travis in, or them naming the monkey thanks to a poll.
Yeah, this is the one episode I always show people who haven’t seen Community. It’s the start of all the amazing full-episode parodies, and it’s just so much fun the whole time. One of the best for sure
This was also the first episode of Community that felt truly special. Before, the show just felt like a sitcom about a college but that episode made me realize how creative they could really be
Documentary Filmmaking: Redux is one of my favorite episodes. “Mr. Guzmán, Luis, thank you, and can I just say, I loved you in… innnnnnnnnnnnnn- IMDb.” and “Ok, you get this wrong one more time? I’m segregating the school.”, SUCH UNDERRATED LINES. And then to end it all off?, the dean, just burnin his university degree and rubbin the ashes on his completely naked body while wailin like a wild animal, fuckin perfect episode in my opinion. Ironically enough, for all of its flaws, the season 4 paintball episode actually had one of my favorite jokes of the show. Strong agree. The puppet episode is the only one is my pick for worst episode and the only one I skip. The emotions all ring false, the “revelations” feel out of character (if not full character assassination), and the guest stars and songs are cringey and wasted.
One of my favorite Troy lines(from different episode) is "the first time I got punched in the face I was like 'oh no' and then I was like 'this is a story." Troy rocks
Yeah, I've tried multiple times to watch the pupper episode, in different mindsets. Sober, high, drunk, high and drunk. Never even gets a chuckle from me.

I had to keep pausing that episode because I was sobbing too hard to hear the dialogue. It’s uncool for a show to be that adept at making me laugh while ripping my heart out.
I agree. It's my 2nd favorite episode (the 1st being *Advanced Dungeons & Dragons* since I'm serious about my nerdom 😁). No matter how many times I watch it, I cry when Abed "dies" in the lava, and then again at how Britta understand the seriousness of helping Troy to revive him. It's beautiful. By now, many people may have noticed, but the very next episode after Troy leaves, at the end Professor Hickey is home watching the news. The lower crawl on the news reads, *"Actor LaVar Burton and non-celebrity guest captured by pirates."* I had seen that episode 6 or 7 times, but happened to pause it to grab something and when I came back, I noticed it. Laughed myself silly!!! 😅🤣😆
I have a weird love for seasons 5-6. They're like the underdog seasons, especially 6, and they take liberties that most shows that long in the tooth really wouldn't. Also Elroy Patashnik is my favorite member of the group.
I love remedial chaos theraphy. I love that we get to see how the different characters react to the same situations, like Pierce giving the present to Troy, and then not doing it and so on. I also love the fact that in every single timeline Jeff shushes Britta singing but when he’s the one leaving they end up having the best time singing to the music and the vibe of that is just amazing
love this show. it never did get the appreciation that it deserved while it was running, and glad to see that it's getting that recognition now, despite some lows. the highs were SO SO good
You mentionned the first paintball episode because it has its own visual identity, but the second one completely nailed it by turning it into a Werstern Movie. With its own aesthetic. I find it a bit better. I think this one is my favourite ex aequo with the pen episode.^^
I'm with you! And especially because *_literally No Black People complained about it!!!_* They just decided that we *_should_* be offended by Chang's makeup as a Dark Elf. I hate that SJW crap when others decide to ruin everything on our behalf. 🙄 I bought the DVD box set so I can watch it constantly.
Abed's Christmas was dumb. Really, he doesn't understand Christmas? And I am supposed to think it is good because of old school stop motion animation? And the lame Lost reference. No.
Wow didn't realize how much people hated on season 6. For me a lot of my favorites are in season 6, although it's a bit hit or miss overall. basic email security, wedding videography, and rv repair are three of the funniest episodes of the series for me.
I absolutely disagree with G.I.Jeff being one of the three worst episodes, I think that’s one of Season 5’s absolute best episodes because of how it relates to Jeff’s existentialism. (Edit: I also disagree about Virtual Systems Analysis)
yeah i cannot relate to anyone who dislikes that episode. it's in the top 5 for me. i think this dude is just flat out wrong. Dude seems to have missed the point of the episode AND missed the jokes. his takes on season 5 and 6 basically ruined his retrospective video for me. What an absolute waste of 55 minutes.
Cooperative Calligraphy is the best episode in Community and nobody can change my mind. Abed tracking the cycles, Pierce saying the thief is Troy, and the self-awareness that it's a bottle episode are all peak comedy.
One of my favorite bits in that episode is that one can actually see the monkey take the pen if one slows it down in the right place. A really nice touch.
For me, the #1 episode of Community will always be Pillows And Blankets. Just the memory of Annie's texts about where to buy the emojis sends me. 🍣🎂🛑⛄☂
For me, in that episode, my favorite parts are Keith David explaining the different locations that don't match the names (South Hall named after General North). And then, when Abed totally destroys Troy with the email saying he cries easily.
I think the context of G.I. Jeff most likely airing after an episode of Access Hollywood and shocking anyone that didn't know what it was and likely *immediately* turning it off makes the whole conceit/premise incredibly hilarious
"We finally figured out a way to make paintball cool again." If there was a line that was least earned in the series, it's this one. They managed to trash both paintball and the darkest timeline in one episode.
one episode i think should be in the top 10 is virtual systems analysis. it’s one of the episodes that explores abeds mind that people often don’t talk about but it’s done beautifully. the way every actor is playing themselves being played by abed is so fun and interesting to think about and you get to see super cool development with abed and annie’s friendship!! i’ve analyzed it a couple times for essays haha this list is great though there’s so many that i’ve never thought to rank high on a top 10 list that now make so much sense for yhat
Best episode for me will always be S2E1. Britta and Jeff get into a competition to prove who can love the other more. Annie is having a mental breakdown over Jeff getting together with Britta, completely oblivious to the fact they hate eachother at this point and are just playing a game of love chicken trying to make the other confess they don’t love the other.
Nice list. Two misses though: 1. GI Jeff episode deserves to be in the top ten of Best shows simply for the code names: Tight Ship, Buzz-Kill, and Three Kids 2. Top 10 needs to included “Digital Estate Planning”. That episode is non conventional, well written development of characters, full of twists, and funny as hell.
Yeah, i feel Gi Jeff Is way overhated. I didn't even watch a single episode of GI Joe but i enjoyed that one. Even if it's true it's not the best gimmick episode of the show
THANK YOU! I feel like Regional Holiday Music is the single most underrated episode of the show. It’s not that it’s insanely good (I mean it is but whatever) but I audibly laugh so loudly every time I watch it. Every second of it is funny. Shirley’s “I’m scared to go into the study room, there’s so many top hats in there” line is so unexplainably funny to me, and every song slaps. Remedial Chaos Theory is the best episode imo (Basic Lupine Urology is a close second if not tied first) but RHM takes the cake for funniest.
My favorite episodes of the series: 1. Epidemiology 2. Cooperative Calligraphy 3. Mixology Certification 4. Basic Lupine Urology 5. Remidal Chaos Theory 6. A Fist Full of Paintballs/A Few paintballs more 7. Studies in Modern Movement 8. Digital Estate Planning 9. Intermediate Doc Filmmaking 10. Cooperative Polyagraphy
Documentary Filmmaking Redux has to be the funniest episode for me, it's not my absolute favorite but it cracks the top 3 for sure, such a creative and utterly hilarious episode that gets way too overlooked.
For me accounting for lawyers 2x02 is my favorite episode it has 2 of my favorite gags in the show between the Troy you have to believe and the chloroform easily one of the most rewatchable shows in the series
I remember seeing the advertisement for modern warfare and watching it when it aired in 2010. I immediately knew it was something special and bought the first season on DVD as soon as I could. It's probably tied with its always sunny in Philadelphia for my favorite sitcom of all time. Scrubs is up there too though.
Terrific list, heartbreaking though it is to see no Epidemiology on here, the Godfather of all "Critical Plot Points Introduced in Absurd Episodes" episodes.
Season 6 is legitimately my favourite season. Frankie is my favourite character. Not the best, but my favourite. The show really gets back to being wacky and out there again, and in such a spectacular fashion
i found the G.I Joe entertaining but i understand why it’s on the list it just feels kinda hollow compared the other animation episodes. i’m kinda shocked that puppet episode isn’t on the list i really hated that one.
I agree with pretty much everything but Intro to Recycled Cinema. I dunno, I just have a lot of fun with that one. Maybe it was the fun ways they got so much mileage out of the limited chang footage. Maybe it was Annie. I dunno.
He's pretty wrong about that one. It's a hilarious episode. Grifting 101 is the one episode from season 6 I think it's an absolute stinker. And personally, I would have had Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, Repilot and the puppet episode in the bottom 5
Cooperative Polygraphy is one of the funniest episodes in the series imo. When he puts the thermos of sperm in front of Jeff and casually tells him not to drink it, absolutely kills me every time. Pierce was the funniest character in the show and it was nice that the writers found a way to give us an entire episode of him after his departure.
Garrets Wedding. RV road trip. And, gasp, The Puppet One, are some of my favorites that come to mind. I dont think any of these are the actual titles.... Good video, thanks.
In collective calligraphy (number 6 on this list) you can actually see the monkey stealing the pen if you pay close attention, it doesn't just disappear. Another piece on the massive pile this show is godly.
Idk why but perhaps my favorite line is in like Ep2 when Jeff says, "Troy sneezes like a girl" and Troy responds: "How about I pound you like a boy that didn't come out right" without missing a beat.
I'm pretty shocked that Intermediate Documentary Filmmaking and Documentary Filmmaking: Redux didn't make it into the top 10 - they are what The Office wished their episodes were. Also I just loved the whole Troy and LeVar Burton dynamic (and the whole ott commercial with Luis Guzman - it really felt like the whole show had been slowly building up to something like that with a real celeb)
I love the fact that clip episodes are normally a cheap way to get an extra episode, but community spends more money on a clip episodes than on normal episodes.
Thanks so much for this Best and Worst list. I adore this show, it's so wonderfully quirky, but sadly behind the scenes drama tended to overshadow the show itself.
so glad you mentioned fringe when talking about professor professorson! the casting definitely adds to the episode so much if you know him as sam weiss
Thank you for Regional Holiday Music. Everyone talks about Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas, but honestly it's really only notable for its gimmick. Regional Holiday Music is just so, so good. The jokes and the music are so good.
For some reason, one of my favorite jokes in Community is during the presidential race episode. When Troy and Abed show the details of each candidate, Starburns' ethnicity is listed as "Cambodian"
"Bwain huwty undewstand cwissmas..." is probably the funniest part of the entire show. Though I do really enjoy the gag at the end of the series where the family is playing a board game. Gets WAY too real and it's amazing!
I'm personally mixed about Jeff taking anti-aging pills in G.I. Jeff. On the one hand I think the theme of aging and things naturally coming to an end was thematically appropriate for community at the time because the show was also naturally dying out and thing were becoming less non-sensicle, so a desperate grasp to when times were good and things didn't have to make sense made it feel like the characters were reacting to it the same way as the audience did and it made me like the maturing cast of characters a litte more. On the other hand I dont think Jeff would be stupid enough to take anti-aging pills and even the concept of them existing and knocking you out is somehow more implausible than seeing the world in claymation to the point where it feels forced and not particularly subtle.
16:07 - well, the Dean is forcing the students to compete in ridiculous Battle Royale style games, in order to win something they hunger for. That reference made complete sense, I hate this episode and I'm not trying to defend it but that's a faulty observation.
Great list! Can't really argue with any entries on the top side, although, to be fair, I could probably come up with another equally deserving list with no overlapping episodes. I was especially glad you zoomed in on the 7and7 scene from Mixology Certification. "It's a high school drink for girls," is a classic Winger quip sitting atop a vast sea of sadness (I mean, who says that to someone after the story Troy just told?) in the realm of "Denny's is for winners," "Clothes make the man, Troy," and of course, "See what happens when I leave you guys alone?"
if i recall correctly in the Netherlands all the episodes are streamed. We also show them on tv. Until the internet i didnt know some south park episodes were banned but here its on. Greetings from Amsterdam
Mixology Certification is one of my favorite episodes because it just feels so normal. And that's not to undersell the value of the wackiness of the rest of the show, but I really just like seeing a glimpse of these characters in an everyday environment. It feels honest.
Your videos are great, man. The crabs line had me laughing out loud at work. The scripts for your series recap videos have to be absolute monsters. Good stuff
Hearing Dean Town Rap as the outro had losing it as a huge community fan and a huge Vulfpeck fan. I love that our lists are so different, it's interesting to hear other people's favorite and least favorite episodes!
Modern Warfare hooked me up to the series. I began watching It randomly just looking for a new comedy show and when I got to the First paintball episode... Dude, what a gift. I'll never be able to be surprised by that again, but that made community one of my favorites shows ever.
Advanced dungeons and dragons is the very first episode I watched and it will forever be my favorite. Everyone says remedial chaos theory is number one but it’s cathartic to see someone agree with me finally.
I can excuse not liking GI Jeff but i draw the line at the ham girl episode. Dan Harmon has said its one of his favorite episodes. Its so wacky and yet so creative, sort of what Dan was doing with Rick & Morty at the time.
It also has one of the funniest moments in the show imo, when Jeff says “Let me use a metaphor I can understand.. every day I work out” Abed’s sarcastic “really?” gets me every time.
Conspiracy Theories & Interior Design will always be in my personal top ten. It was the first episode I watched of Community. The way it introduces you to most the characters makes them feel like they are your friends. You get a good feel for each character.
Does anyone else like Intro To Recycled Cinema? To me it's one of the most memorable season 6 episodes along with ladders, the finale, the wedding episode, and the email hack episode. It being the 2nd worst episode of the series is a blistering hot take for me.
Loved the video but I just want to thank you for the background music used throughout. As a big R+C fan, I always appreciate when some uses some of those great early soundtracks.
The ratchet deadlocked end of challenge tune you played when talking about Jeff competing in history 101 was a nice touch, hope you enjoyed that game as much as I did :D
community is my favorite show for a reason. i feel relation with everyone in this show in a small way, and the rewatch value is through the roof. not even joking, i’m on my 7th rewatch of all 6 seasons.
My favorite is the floor on lava, the whole idea of the episode is to accept that sometimes you have to let go of something you love which is an incredibly important lesson
How did the Anthropology episode with Betty White not hit the top list? The group implosion while the impromptu wedding goes on is fantastic. One of my lowest ranking episodes (outside of the season 4 shitshow) would be Abed and Annie in the Dreamatorium running scenarios.
first of all i love the way you talk and crack subtle jokes, very nice. secondly the ratchet and clank music was the cherry on top for me. hell yeah man
somehow i got convinced to watch fringe?? good video! i went insane over how good this show is back in 2014, still holds up 8 entire years later. unreal quality
Cool list. I wouldn't have chosen half of them, but the choices make sense and the narration's humor is Harmon-worthy. Kudos for picking one "bad" episode I really enjoy. Bastard!
My bottom 5 would include: 1. The Art of Discourse. I can't get over how cringe it is that Britta and Jeff can get riled up so much by a few high schoolers. 2. Laws of Robotics & Party Rights. The premise of prisoners driving little segues with tablets on them is too ridiculous for me. Just get webcams and stream the classes online...
I think the segway premise is actually genius, you want to give them the full college experience after all, but what annoyed me most was the missed potential. Why doesn't willy have any relationship to jeff, the lawyer? It would have been easy to make it that Jeff was his lawyer back in the day, maybe he felt he was too lazy and did not represent him properly (especially after seeing him teaching) etc
Britta and Jeff getting riled up by annoying high-schoolers is absolutely 100% in character, and it's hilarious. The segway prisoners can definitely take G.I.Jeff's slot on this list for me tho.
Imo the only reason I wouldn’t put the space time episode in bottom 5 is bc of its importance to Jeff and Annie’s relationship and because I’m a fan of Tricia Helfer (the actress who played the woman crushing on thoraxis)
I've gotta be honest, maybe it's just because I'm not familiar with Matt Berry, but I never found Grifting 101 anywhere near as bad as people make it seem. Honestly, I would watch it over a lot of season 4 episodes not on this list.
i was really surprised alternative history of the german invasion was not on this list because for me at least, it’s one of the few episodes i outright skip
@@bellbottomjeans4 it relies on the audience just immediately accepting that the one off intentionally table soccer guys are actual nazis, and the concept just... doesn't work. the episode isn't funny enough to make up for it, though the way they defeated them felt very season 1 in a way i enjoyed, and the final joke with everyone thinking the whole thing was planned by the teacher was actually pretty good.
Thank you. Thank you for this. Absolutely loved it and I think your takes are spot on....now to go watch Community for the 4th time all the way through because that's what these videos do to me

Also, they absolutely nailed the PBS documentary style for the episode. And the bit about the confusing battleground names is top tier.
Citizens of Blanketburg, I ask you now to prepare for war.
For real. The Keith David narration is perfection.
Honestly that episode with the production quality of something like Modern Warfare might have been too 5.
That’s honestly one of my least favorites just because of how slow it is
Doing a Ken Burns style PBS documentary was absolutely BRILLIANT.
Annie describing the love scene in Advanced D&D is the single funniest thing I've seen on TV.
The scene where Annie Chloroforms the security guard is by far my favorite scene.
Annie is very young. We try not to sexualice her.
Troy taking notes was the cherry on top
She mouths "whip out my huge member" hahaha
Hector the well-endowed is a classic

“STOP SAYING IM DIFFERENT”
He didn’t just “treat her like shit” he sexually assaulted her and was then rehired cuz ratings. Fuck Dan Harmon.

Look at you, working this comment section! You sure know how to post a comment on a RUclips 👍🏾👍🏾
@@art111g now that's a man who knows how to marry his cousin!
i liked hickey. i know he didn’t contribute much but i still enjoyed his character. he was real and dark.
Honestly, 6 is one of my favorites. I feel like the writers kinda just said fuck it with all the wierd ideas
fully agree
I love remedial chaos theraphy. I love that we get to see how the different characters react to the same situations, like Pierce giving the present to Troy, and then not doing it and so on. I also love the fact that in every single timeline Jeff shushes Britta singing but when he’s the one leaving they end up having the best time singing to the music and the vibe of that is just amazing
Absolute best episode bro
love this show. it never did get the appreciation that it deserved while it was running, and glad to see that it's getting that recognition now, despite some lows. the highs were SO SO good
You mentionned the first paintball episode because it has its own visual identity, but the second one completely nailed it by turning it into a Werstern Movie. With its own aesthetic. I find it a bit better. I think this one is my favourite ex aequo with the pen episode.^^
I hate that the dnd episode isn’t on streaming. Really a slap in the face to one of the best episodes of television.
But they solved racism by hiding that episode from streaming (just kidding, in case it isn't obvious)
Abed's Christmas was dumb. Really, he doesn't understand Christmas? And I am supposed to think it is good because of old school stop motion animation? And the lame Lost reference. No.
I thought Finality paid off the storyline well.
How do you like "Remedial" but not its payoff graduation episode?
Wow didn't realize how much people hated on season 6. For me a lot of my favorites are in season 6, although it's a bit hit or miss overall. basic email security, wedding videography, and rv repair are three of the funniest episodes of the series for me.
I love the grifting episode
I liked season 6 quite a bit.
@@ValkyrieCainEpicness"You hit me... with a woman's hand! You midwestern floozy!" "I lived in New York!"
I think season 6 is pretty good but personally I hate the color grading in some scenes of the season, it kinda feels incomplete.
That season grew on me
I absolutely disagree with G.I.Jeff being one of the three worst episodes, I think that’s one of Season 5’s absolute best episodes because of how it relates to Jeff’s existentialism.
@@BrowncoatFairy Seasons 5 & 6 get WAY too much hate in my opinion; I honestly think these are the seasons with the funniest end gags
@@mr.moviemafia yeah IDK it's weird to me as well I always felt season 4 and 5 were like definitely the worst, but I quite liked season 6
I audibly gasped when I heard G.I Jeff in bottom 5
Me too?? Glad to hear others feel that way too.
Cooperative Calligraphy is the best episode in Community and nobody can change my mind. Abed tracking the cycles, Pierce saying the thief is Troy, and the self-awareness that it's a bottle episode are all peak comedy.
i totally agree
One of my favorite bits in that episode is that one can actually see the monkey take the pen if one slows it down in the right place.
A really nice touch.
For me, the #1 episode of Community will always be Pillows And Blankets. Just the memory of Annie's texts about where to buy the emojis sends me. 🍣🎂🛑⛄☂
For me, in that episode, my favorite parts are Keith David explaining the different locations that don't match the names (South Hall named after General North). And then, when Abed totally destroys Troy with the email saying he cries easily.
And pierces weapon of mass destruction😂😂😂 the introduction was so good
okay the peanut rap overlayed with vulfpeck is the greatest thing ive ever experiences in my life. thank you so much for that
I think the context of G.I. Jeff most likely airing after an episode of Access Hollywood and shocking anyone that didn't know what it was and likely *immediately* turning it off makes the whole conceit/premise incredibly hilarious
"We finally figured out a way to make paintball cool again."
If there was a line that was least earned in the series, it's this one. They managed to trash both paintball and the darkest timeline in one episode.
It was sooo embarrassing
my favorite episode is probably the Zombie outbreak one. the scene with the cat made me laugh more than anything
🙀 *"Is someone THROWING it?!!!"* 🤣😅🤣😅
one episode i think should be in the top 10 is virtual systems analysis. it’s one of the episodes that explores abeds mind that people often don’t talk about but it’s done beautifully. the way every actor is playing themselves being played by abed is so fun and interesting to think about and you get to see super cool development with abed and annie’s friendship!! i’ve analyzed it a couple times for essays haha
this list is great though there’s so many that i’ve never thought to rank high on a top 10 list that now make so much sense for yhat
"And I'm playing... Ew! Hector the well endowed?! Abed!"
"I thought Troy was gonna take that one"
"I'll bet you did"
Best episode for me will always be S2E1. Britta and Jeff get into a competition to prove who can love the other more. Annie is having a mental breakdown over Jeff getting together with Britta, completely oblivious to the fact they hate eachother at this point and are just playing a game of love chicken trying to make the other confess they don’t love the other.
I love how you slipped in the "ex-cethra" lmao. and the peanut bar payday rap in the end is just a nice cherry on top 👌
Nice list. Two misses though:
1. GI Jeff episode deserves to be in the top ten of Best shows simply for the code names: Tight Ship, Buzz-Kill, and Three Kids
Even if it's true it's not the best gimmick episode of the show
Nah. GI Jeff was not funny
I dislike the GI Jeff episode so much that's when I stop watching the show in its entirety. Absolutely not.
Oh yeah, Digital Estate Planning is definitely in my Top 10.
GI Jeff would be in my bottom 10, and I watched GI Joe as a kid... this episode just did not hit.
Remedial Chaos Theory is the best episode imo (Basic Lupine Urology is a close second if not tied first) but RHM takes the cake for funniest.
i don't tell anyone that's one of my favorite episodes because of how ridiculous it is, but it's also so funny
My favorite episodes of the series:
1. Epidemiology
2. Cooperative Calligraphy
3. Mixology Certification
4. Basic Lupine Urology
5. Remidal Chaos Theory
6. A Fist Full of Paintballs/A Few paintballs more
7. Studies in Modern Movement
8. Digital Estate Planning
9. Intermediate Doc Filmmaking
10. Cooperative Polyagraphy
My personal favourite is the second paintball episode, I love their use of pierces pettiness when he’s been kicked out of the group.
Documentary Filmmaking Redux has to be the funniest episode for me, it's not my absolute favorite but it cracks the top 3 for sure, such a creative and utterly hilarious episode that gets way too overlooked.
That is my favorite episode, almost completely due to it's hilarity
24:44 him saying etc. wrong is the funniest small easter egg ever. i love you slip maker
i found the G.I Joe entertaining but i understand why it’s on the list it just feels kinda hollow compared the other animation episodes. i’m kinda shocked that puppet episode isn’t on the list i really hated that one.
Yeah the puppet one to me is the lowest of the low … I get like secondhand embarrassment when watching it
Yeah I thought it was a lot worse than GI Jeff
I agree with pretty much everything but Intro to Recycled Cinema. I dunno, I just have a lot of fun with that one. Maybe it was the fun ways they got so much mileage out of the limited chang footage. Maybe it was Annie. I dunno.
He's pretty wrong about that one. It's a hilarious episode. Grifting 101 is the one episode from season 6 I think it's an absolute stinker. And personally, I would have had Advanced Dungeons and Dragons, Repilot and the puppet episode in the bottom 5
"If you wanted to make a blanket city at my alma mater ASU, you'd get crabs."
Most underrated line in the whole video.
Forks up!
Give me Digital Estate Planning any day of the week. Hilarious, heart breaking, heart warming. Love it.
I love the fact that clip episodes are normally a cheap way to get an extra episode, but community spends more money on a clip episodes than on normal episodes.
I would totally switch the Christmas episodes. The claymation one is one of the best ever, as well as Contemporary American Poultry.
Thanks so much for this Best and Worst list. I adore this show, it's so wonderfully quirky, but sadly behind the scenes drama tended to overshadow the show itself.
What happened?
discreetly checks off "trina q" from film analysis bingo card
I think this assessment is pretty solid, with one notable exception-the G.I. Jeff episode is actually pretty great.
so glad you mentioned fringe when talking about professor professorson! the casting definitely adds to the episode so much if you know him as sam weiss
Also just the ending of the song "Boopity boopity boop sex". No good lyrics, just that
I'm personally mixed about Jeff taking anti-aging pills in G.I.
Abed: He'll die of exposure in 13 turns.
Jeff: I wait 14 turns.
Best joke from the best episode. I live it.
If Community came out today, the hunger deans would absolutely be replaced with squid deans and that sounds so much better to me.
G.I Jeff is amazing and I’ll die on this hill
Conspiracy Theories & Interior Design will always be in my personal top ten. It was the first episode I watched of Community. The way it introduces you to most the characters makes them feel like they are your friends. You get a good feel for each character.
My favorite episodes have got to be the Fistful of Paintballs episodes. They both are great on their own, but even greater when watched together.
Does anyone else like Intro To Recycled Cinema? To me it's one of the most memorable season 6 episodes along with ladders, the finale, the wedding episode, and the email hack episode. It being the 2nd worst episode of the series is a blistering hot take for me.
I also like it a lot. Season 6 has a lot of really good episodes.
i think the episode could have been made better but its also probably the funniest episode in 6th season
Loved the video but I just want to thank you for the background music used throughout. As a big R+C fan, I always appreciate when some uses some of those great early soundtracks.
Not on board with the bottom 5, but this is an excellent list and well-done!
S2 E1 is a banger, I agree, although, I disagree on the dreamatorium episode. that one is in my top 5
To be honest, I think almost the majority of episodes in seasons 1 and 2 are absolutely top tier. It's hard to seperate them.
first of all i love the way you talk and crack subtle jokes, very nice. secondly the ratchet and clank music was the cherry on top for me. hell yeah man
WAIT AND SLY MUSIC? OH MAN
oh it just keeps getting better youre insane i love you
somehow i got convinced to watch fringe?? good video! i went insane over how good this show is back in 2014, still holds up 8 entire years later. unreal quality
horror fiction in 7 spooky steps needs to be on here imo
I’m kind of upset that the hot lava episode didn’t make the list. It’s easily my favorite episode and is such a great sendoff for Troy.
Regional Holiday Music Is Sooo underrated! So glad you love it. It’s my second fave with Conspiracy Theories at 1st.
Regional Holiday Music isn't just a great Xmas episode, it's a brilliant take on Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
Dexter New Blood did the same “Somehow, I survived” referencing the OG series finale. Doesn’t explain what actually happened
Its criminal that the best episode of the show isnt on Netflix because of Chang's 'blackface'
The ass crack bandit episode was one of my favourites.
My personal favorite is Abed’s uncontrollable Christmas. Abed tries to use an illusion to hide from himself growing up. What a masterpiece.
26:43 that's what you think Hector the Well-Endowed looks like?
All 110 episodes might be in the running, but let's be honest. This list is primarily going to be seasons 1-3 with maybe some season 5 stuff.
“The subtlety of a bulldozer modified by Marvin Heemeyer” killed me
Cool list. I wouldn't have chosen half of them, but the choices make sense and the narration's humor is Harmon-worthy. Kudos for picking one "bad" episode I really enjoy. Bastard!
9:50 second time I notice the Pacman world 2 ghost island theme in your videos, Amazing, love it.
My bottom 5 would include:
99% of people would be riled up by a few high schoolers
@@aldoushuxley5953 you said exactly what I was thinking
Britta and Jeff getting riled up by annoying high-schoolers is absolutely 100% in character, and it's hilarious.
The segway prisoners can definitely take G.I.Jeff's slot on this list for me tho.
Yes they are unwatchable
Absolutely loved it and I think your takes are spot on....now to go watch Community for the 4th time all the way through because that's what these videos do to me
I still don't get the hate for GI Jeff. I think it's one of Season 5's best episodes easily. Way better than that god awful S5 finale.
