This concert was made when there was still a pandemic in Japan, so people were forbidden to sing. The band usually lets the audience sing the chorus of the song as shown at the beginning of the video. I guess people cry because many of them lost important people to covid and the lyrics of the song are very deep and listening to it live must hit hard.

Thanks for your reaction. "Anata" is a beautiful and deep song. L'Arc ~ en ~ Ciel's songs stand out among others for the beauty of the melody, lyrics, arrangement and interpretation. They are a legendary band. He was a role model for many other Asian performers. Vocalist Hyde has an amazing voice and great vocal skills. Maybe you should check out their other songs. I recommend "Ibara no Namida", "Blame", "Jojoushi", "Dearest Love". Hyde also has a second band - Vamps and a solo project.
