- Part 1 in this video series goes over the plumbing and valve operation of a basic air brake system. We talk about how the air is delivered from the glad hands, to the service and emergency relay valves and out to the brake chambers.
Part 2 (coming soon-ish) will cover other valves and accessories using air, (height control valve, tire auto inflation valve, slider pin release valve ect.) Авто/Мото
Absolutely phenomenal video man.
Thank you!!
Where’s part 2? Air accessories and other .
Yes the red line supplies the relay valve…. Unless a little bug makes his home in the emergency gladhand.

Thank you so much for this video!! You have an exceptional knowledge! Love your videos, and the way you are explaining is easy to understand, covered in every detail, and keeps the attention. You can definitely hold the classes since rarely you can find someone here who possess this kind of knowledge and skills. I work in trucking company who has more then 250 trucks, I am in charge of the maintenance, used to drive the truck. If you have the shop, I would be more than happy to bring you some work. Please keep the good work, can't wait for Part 2.
Wish you the best!!
Thanks Sean, very generous compliment! The company I work for is Fleet Repair Solutions and we have shops near Harrisburg PA, Atlanta GA and Dallas TX. I work at our Grantville PA branch, about 15 minutes outside of Harrisburg. If any of your equipment in need of service and in the area we'd love to help!
Is part 2 coming soon?@@fleetrepairsolutions6372
Any chance for Part 2 soon?
Normal brake application would only be 20 to 30 psi, any more than that psi would be a panic stop.Professonal drivers doing Normal downshifting, would very rarely apply more than 30 psi.
Awesome many awesome video !! I think the emergency valve is my problem. I picked up my trailer and it won’t air up. I have no trailer breaks , no emergency brakes (obviously) and the air bags are flat . Im stranded and im hoping buying this would fix it.
What do you think !! 😅
Sorry to hear you were stranded...If you pressed the red trailer supply valve inside the tractor and the the trailer parking brakes didn't release AND your airbags weren't inflating, a faulty emergency relay valve would be one of the first things I would check for. I would first confirm there are no major air leaks and that air is getting to the valve. Hope you got back on the road!
How can i get rid of brake lag?
I feel like i have excessive brake lag
