The income limits for benefits are absurd, it's like they want us homeless or worse, especially for people on disability because like you mention, it is good to have something to do. There are shenanigans to the system I hear, e.g. people not getting married so their spouse counts as a single mom and gets extra. So many people just wanna take, they don't realize it's about what you can contribute that matters, and US has been most socialized nation that ever existed in that sense, but when they make proprietary software and do everything as sloppy borg administration, society becomes something that's not worth participating in. Depopulation agenda or something, especially of working class west.
